Lush Karma Promo Code: Free Stinky Karma

Lush has the Muse told you today that she loves you? She truly does. Has she also said how much she hates Karma? Seems it's so bad you have to give it away.

Jump for it.

Ahhh the sweet errmmm gross smell of Karma. Let me tell you about Karma. Picture this, oranges and dirt. Yes, indeed that's about the extent of what Lush Karma smells of.....some like to refer to it as a hippie like blend, me I may be too young to appreciate the scent of hippies. Honestly, I'm a free loving spirit but if hippies smelled like oranges and dirt in 1960's California I'd probably never had made it, damn.

The good news?

For those who absolutely adore Karma you can get a free Karma product of your choice at Lush simply by spending $60 bucks and using promo code FREEKARMA.

This Muse?

I'll enjoy it from a very far distance.

Share you love for Karma or your dislike.

I'm a listenin'!

Fun Fact: Karma is one of Lush's most popular scents (who are these people that love it so much!?)

St. Ives Mineral Therapy Collection Review

Winter is around the bloody corner isn't it? How did that happen so fast. Well, if the Muse is being honest she doesn't really need cold, harsh weather to feel the dry, itchy, tightness that makes up her skin. My mother gave birth to a little baby crocodile because my elbows and knees are so dry it's absurd. I have to keep at them constantly by scrubbing away dead skin and moisturizing as much as possible to keep them nice and soft. Miss a single day and it's back to dry, flaky skin! Yak!

I got the chance to test out a new inexpensive beauty budget collection from St. Ives which is keeping my skin nice and hydrated right now and should keep it so throughout the long winter ahead!

Jump for it!

Considering the Muse is the first to sob at the state of the economy I've been keeping an eye out for any and all good budget beauty finds however they are so very few and in between. However, one great score is the new St. Ives Mineral Therapy Collection. Guys, def head into store for a sniff if possible as these smell so very heavenly which gives them a proper A+. Aside from smelling great they are heavily moisturizing and hydrating plus the formula contains no parabens or phytalates. The line includes three brand new products all $6.99 or under so you aren't breaking the bank by indulging.

St. Ives Moisturizing Mineral Therapy Body Wash ($2.99-$3.99) is a freshly scented moisturizing body wash made with natural ingredients. The formula is not tested on animals nor does it contain animal ingredients plus the bottle is made up of 20% post-consumer recycled material. The body wash is a smooth, creamy blend that lathers up very well and leaves skin silky and smooth. It's not drying in the least and it feels heavenly to my dry, crocodile skin.

St. Ives Mineral Therapy Body Polish ($6.99) is an exfoliating body scrub that is simply awesome. Muse Approval for this one. The formula is a thick, gooey paste much like shea butter with fine crystals blended in to gently exfoliate skin. It starts off as a moisturizing butter that scrubs away dead skin and later turns into a soft, smooth lather that rinses clean away. It's a gem, definitely purchase this if nothing else from the line. They have it available in three formulas which are Oatmeal & Shea Butter (gentle polishing made with oatmeal and shea), Collagen Elastin (Collagen and Elastin proteins for younger, smoother skin), and Mineral Therapy (blend of minerals). I tried the Mineral Therapy and it smells just as heavenly as the wash does. The scrub works very gently but still manages to whisk away icky dry flakes while leaving skin super soft and super smooth. Loves it. It's one of the few scrubs I've tried that doesn't scrub away to the bone....I'm sure you know what I mean. Some scrubs are mega harsh this is ever so gentle and still works at making my skin smooth.

Finally, you can follow up your hydrating experience with St. Ives Replenishing Mineral Therapy Advanced Moisturizer ($4.99). This is a thick, creamy intensely moisturizing body lotion to keep skin soft. If you experience dry, itchy skin in the colder weather this will be a welcome relief to keep your skin healthy and moisturized.

Count the Muse impressed with the St. Ives Mineral Therapy Collection. It's great, inexpensive way to get smooth skin. If you're looking for a budget friendly option I recommend these as they are truly good. Worthy of a pick up me thinks.

Muse Approved for purchase.

What are some of your fav St. Ives products?

I remember loving the St. Ives Apricot Scrub when I was in my teens. I seriously need to rediscover St. Ives as I forget how bleeding great it is.

Product Musings: Lush 17 Cherry Tree Lane Soap

George Banks was the father of the two children who's nanny happens to be Mary Poppins. George and his family lived at 17 Cherry Tree Lane where much of the magic in the book (and the Disney film) happens at said address. The magic is unleashed in Lush's own 17 Cherry Tree Lane soap named also after George's old home.

Not so long ago but very far back now a terrible thing happened with 17 Cherry Tree Lane, the soap that is not the house of the same address! Lush decided to discontinue it from it's main catalog. Oh woe. Sadness. Terribly agony. Many a fan felt awful after said day and sniffles and cries of why came from far and wide.

Gone now for a very long time but never forgotten 17 Cherry Tree Lane Soap has been known to pop up at B Never on a very strange occasion or two.

However, most recently and most important is the re-release of Lush 17 Cherry Tree Lane Soap that was brought back to be included with the Lush Retro line!

Oh Joy!

Jump for it!

This silky soap lathers up into a creamy foam and offers a beautifully moisturizing shower experience. With notes of mimosa, orange blossom, and jasmine this soap lends a beautiful citrus, lemony scent to your skin as your wash away with it.

If you love your soaps crisp and fresh with a wicked citrus underlay, 17 Cherry Tree Lane Soap is the way to go. It's the Muse's very favorite and Lush even says it might have a spoonful of sugar in the mix....we all need that on a bad day!

Get it now, before it's gone for good (and if it is settle for a Sakura bath bombs, smells just like 17 Cherry Tree Lane!).

Anyone a fan?

Love Lush 17 Cherry Tree Soap?

Lush Sugar Scrub and Lush Sugar Babe Review

Can you guess what this is?

Nope, it's not a sugar cookie actually it's not a cookie of any kind. Not a Chinese dumpling either. In fact you can't eat it at all but that doesn't mean it's not good for you and your body!

Click ahead to find out what it is!

Those of you who guessed that it's a Lush Sugar Scrub guessed correctly! Looks kinda edible doesn't it?

Ok, you need these in your life. You need these if your skin is rough and flaky. You need them if you want a moisturizing exfoliating scrub that's sooooooo super luxurious. You just need 'em period.

If you love Buffy you'll absolutely adore how Lush has taken exfoliation to the next level with their brand new Lush Sugar Scrubs! The scrubs are delicately packed together lumps of joy. I do say delicate since if you handle them incorrectly and with out a little TLC you'll find yourself with a fist full of sugar, be gentle. Each scrub is packed into a dome, raised cookie shape kinda like a scone! The scrubs are available in two versions for $4.95 each and you can probably get one to two uses if you want to super scrub your rough bits or about four uses if you're stingy. As for me I'm terribly rough so I use an entire one for my knees and elbows plus Lush does suggest using one per a shower. The basic idea is to break it in two pieces, wet the area you're working with, wet the scrub in your hand and proceed to rub it anywhere you want smooth, silky skin. The scrub quickly breaks up into grains of sugar and after a little scrubbing they sud up and disappear. They leave behind smooth, silky, moisturized skin. You need to try 'em yourself as they are truly a little joy in the bath and body world.

The two scrubs available are Sugar Scrub and Sugar Babe. Sugar Scrub is Vegan where as Sugar Babe is not.

Sugar Scrub has a herbal lavender scent and is green in color. Lush says it's good for scrubbing away dead skin cells, tackling cellulite, and and invigorating sluggish skin.

Sugar Babe is my favorite of the two. At first sniff I didn't like it as it had a weird sour milk gardenia scent but once it's wet it smells oddly of Lush Snowcake but with quite a bit more of a floral underlay which is a bit lily-like and a bit of gardenia as well. Lush recommends this for upper arms, thighs, and stomach. It has a center of extra virgin coconut oil which is revealed as you scrub. The actual scent is ylang ylang but for me it smells quite like Snowcake when damp. Loving it!

Lush Sugar Scrubs are available now from www.lush.com

Muse Approved for purchase! I love these. Absolutely an awesome idea and a great product for getting smooth, silky Summer skin.

Anyone try yet?

Summer Soft Skin On a Budget: Caress Evenly Gorgeous Exfoliating Body Wash and Beauty Bar Review

Happiness is a cheap way to get Summer soft, silky smooth skin on a beauty budget price. Caress Evenly Gorgeous Exfoliating Body Wash and Beauty Bar is the newest addition to the Caress Skinwear Collection and baby I'm a love it!

Click ahead to hear the review!

This is the first time I've heard of Caress Evenly Gorgeous Exfoliating Body Wash. The wash contains brown sugar and karite butter for a smooth, moisturizing exfoliating experience. The gel has a nice, moisturizing feel on the skin but it's the brown sugar that really wows me as it gets rough elbows and knees in tiptop shape. The scent of the wash is a beautiful, sultry fresh blend, quite addicting! The scent lingers quite nicely long after your shower is over!

The line even includes a new Caress Evenly Gorgeous Exfoliating Beauty Bar so you can start out by treating your skin with a quick scrub down with the soap and proceed to follow up with the wash.

If you're looking for a budget friendly option to get your rough skin into silky smooth shape Caress Skinwear is the way to go for under $5 bucks.

Likey!

WANT IT: Philosophy The Sweet Shoppe

By now I imagine I sound like a broken record. But..ahem...allow me to repeat myself for the umpteenth time and mention that Philosophy continues to impress me with it's 3-in-1 Shower Gel range.

I've always been a mad fan for Philosophy Shower Gels but even as a fan I confess disappointment over a few that didn't quite smell like their namesakes. Ok, I admit some were down right wrong on many levels.

But over the course of a year and a half or so Philosophy has beaten out shower gel after shower gel that impresses and tops each past release. The scents are creative, true to their namesakes, and delicious. Actually if I think about it they are exactly what I originally hoped and wanted from Philosophy but somehow was disappointed when it didn't turn out as such.

Why you must ask am I going on about this now?

Well, Philosophy has three brand new scents available at Sephora and I suspect more will follow soon for Fall.

Click it and learn what they are and why I'm excited!

Indeed I'm not averse to a quick stop at The Sweet Shoppe, particularly Philosophy's Sweet Shoppe.

Now available and brand new are the Philosophy The Sweet Shoppe Set that includes Watermelon, Little Fishy, and Bubblegum Scented 3-in-1 Shower Gel ($30). Although I find myself unexcited about the actual set (I prefer the large size shower gel bottles) I am excited about the scents. Little Fishy? I adore the scent of Swedish Fish candy! Bubblegum? Another fond favorite! And Watermelon too? Be still my beating heart.

I hope that Philosophy will extend these scents to the bigger bottles if not I shall indulge in the set but I'll keep my eyes peeled for a larger size.

Also available is the Philosophy The Sweet Shoppe Lip Shine Duo ($20) which includes Watermelon and Bubble Gum flavored glosses! Sweet! What happened to Little Fishy though? Sob!

Whatever your opinion of Philosophy you can't deny the cuteness behind these sets!

Want!

Anyone else excited?

Beauty News: Crabtree & Evelyn Files Files For Bankruptcy

Crabtree & Evelyn filed for bankruptcy on Wednesday making it the latest to succumb to the poor economy.

Read ahead for the details!

The company currently operates 126 stores in 24 states and employs around 950 people. Although they are filing bankruptcy they are not going completely out of business but will be reorganizing the way they do business which will include closing several stores.

Crabtree & Evelyn is a specialty shop and with larger offerings from stores such as Bath and Body Works offering items at a cheap price it must be difficult to keep business up. I'm saddened to hear this news and have hopes with time the company will prosper once again.

Lush 13 Soap (Unlucky for Dirt)

Only Lush would think it would be a good idea to combine oregano with rose. Is it me or does that somehow remind you of pizza for some odd reason or another?

Lush 13 Soap is a mix of rose and oregano and gets it's name from a 1931 film about soap. I looked that up and didn't see anything about it but I think I'd love a movie about soap...or cosmetics...or shower gels...hmmmm.

Lush 13 Soap is made with oregano because it supposedly kills MRSA bacteria, I dunno about that but from what I'm hearing from Lush fans it smells heavenly. But do go right ahead and count me skeptical...I'm still thinking pizza...must be the oregano.

It's available now from Lush UK and soon after I'm sure it'll come visit our side of the pond where we can enjoy it with pizza.

If you could create a Lush soap what ingredients would you use?

Oh hai cheapness! This cheap little foot scrubber is ideal for getting feet in fine form for the warm weather. Simply wet the sponge to release a cream lather and begin scrubbing the bottom of feet and heels. Gets them super smooth, super fast!

Time to shave the legs. You may have been hiding your hairy legs under heavy jeans and sweats this Winter but now it's time to get rid of that fuzz. Check out one of my top picks for getting the closest shave this season!

Rolling Razor Pomegranate Shaving Cream ($8.95 USD at Rolling Razor)

What They Have To Say About It:
Underarm irritation is a thing of the past. Our saving cream is hands down the softest and creamiest on the market. Formulated with antioxidant-rich pomegranate, one of nature's oldest anti-aging resources, the Rolling Razor Shaving Cream later leaves even the difficult skin soft and silky smooth

What The Muse Says About It:
Fruity and lush this luxurious shaving cream makes my legs silky smooth and gives me an incredibly smooth shave. Likey!

Top picks for Summer scents? I has 'em! Check below to see what fragrances I adore for Summer!

Harajuku Lovers Fragrance G ($45 USD from Sephora)

What They Have To Say About It:
Never one to get lost in the crowd, G leads her crew in a white, corseted top and a blue miniskirt á la Alice in Wonderland. Quirky, unique, and undeniably cool, G is the leader of the pack. Her scent is an oriental, fruity, gourmand fragrance with notes of fresh coconut, jasmine, and cotton woods.

What They Muse Says About It:
A blend of hot coconut with hints of fruit, jasmine, and just a touch of musk make G my very favorite Summer blend. It simply smells like Summer and the beach.

Demeter Sex on the Beach ($20 USD from Demeter)

What They Have To Say About It:
Sex on the Beach Cocktail, a sensory sensation; an inviting and refreshing combination of Vodka, unsweetened Pineapple Juice, a touch of Raspberry liquor, a hint of Melon liquor and a splash of Cranberry.

What The Muse Says About It:
Pineapples, raspberry, melon, and a certain tart twang make this scent ideal for Summer time lovin'!

Demeter Swimming Pool ($20 USD from Demeter)

What They Have To Say About It:
A soft, watery, natural ozone scent...wrapped in a fresh cotton towel...

What They Muse Says About It:
Watery, refreshing, and fresh this one definitely reminds me of a cool dip in the pool!

Victoria's Secret Love Spell (3 for $24 or 7 for $35 from Victoria's Secret)

What They Have To Say About It:
Lush blend of peach, cherry blossom and white jasmine.

What The Muse Says About It:
Do I really need to wax poetry about Love Spell? An age old classic that graces my fragrance library year round.

C.O. Bigelow Lemon Eau de Parfum ($34.50 from Bath and Body Works)

What They Have To Say About It:
This freshly scented Eau de Parfum is inspired by our most-loved, favorite original formulary, Lemon Body Cream. The pure, sparkling Lemon fragrance blends effervescent citrus notes with green lemon leaves and sensual, creamy undertones of warm white musk.

What The Muse Says About It:
Even though the scent fails to last more than two hours this parfum is making it's way to my top Summer pick this year. The crisp, refreshing, fruity yet tart blend of lemons is enough to make any girl happy. Love, love, love it!
