Lush: A BIG Bathing Experience XXL Bath Bombs

Lush has super sized three of it's popular bath bombs and taken them from 6.3oz to a whooping 28oz!

W00t!

I've blogged super size Lush before when I gave you a peep at my Lush Pud from Christmas '07. The concept is the same as the Pud but the bombs aren't technically "filled" with goodies which makes them cheaper in price and also leaves me wondering are they solid or hallow? I'd say hallow inside as that sure would be a HEAVY bath bomb!

No matter what way you splice it you can't deny these are a fab addition to the Lush line up and the price is quite friendly too as you can get quite a few baths out of one bomb or of course you can just shuck the entire thing in your tub if you're feeling the need to spoil yourself rotten.

Each bomb is $15.95 USD each and available now from Lush NA and Lush UK. They are available in Big Blue, Avobath, and Sex Bomb scents!

Likey!

Musings of the Day: Please, Just Leave Me In Peace!

(oops sorry for the extra "o" in too! hehe!

You know how pushy MA's can be! Heck, you might even appreciate it since some of them work on commission but none the less it's still rather annoying to say the least.

So today's Musings is which counters or stores do you find the most aggressive, the most irritating, the most pushy....

Jump ahead for my reply!

Actually, my choice isn't a cosmetic counter. In fact it doesn't have anything at all to do with makeup. The place I avoid at all costs because the reps are annoying, irritating, and EXTREMELY, maxed out, over the top pushy is Bath and Body Works.

Omg!

Going into Bath and Body Works in one word is a ridiculous experience. I haven't set foot inside one in a long, long, long time since the sales reps are just awful, terrible, a real nightmare. They are so incredibly pushy it turns my stomach to even venture inside the store. I don't even think they work on commission but they are somehow programmed robots to push, push, PUSH! They push so much that I think most people are pushed out the door without bothering to purchase because of the irritating way the reps are.

Try this, try that, have you seen this? How about that? Have one of these? This is $5! Here let me get you a cart, a basket, a bag, a tote, let me hose you down with our newest fragrance even though you're sneezing all over the place.

Truly Bath and Body Works needs to tame it's reps. Maybe if they do I'll consider going back inside one of the stores. Until than I avoid it at all costs!

How about you?

What's your least favorite store or counter to visit because the artists or reps are just too bloody pushy?

Hauled It: Essence of Beauty Brushes

I had to go to CVS yesterday to hunt and peck through scary drugstore makeup to locate the Maybelline foundation I was babbling about yesterday. On my quest I couldn't resist plopping some more Essence of Beauty Brushes in my cart.

Jump ahead for haulage pics!

I don't normally like cheap brushes but I must say that these always impress. I ended up picking up the travel size kit and a two brush shadow duo set. I think both sets cost me $15 USD or so? Not too bad a price for seven brushes total. Hi cheap brushes the Muse likey you very much.

Although I wasn't as pleased with the travel set as I was with the shadow duo set. The brushes seemed a bit more dense and harder than the normal Essence brushes I've picked up but none the less they were good aside from that. If you're looking for some inexpensive, budget friendly brushes I'd totally recommend these as they are the best I've personally come across. I'm a MAC brush girl all the way but I can't deny that the next best thing if I'm looking to save a buck or two would be snagging yourself some of these bad boys.

Check your local CVS for the selection.

Loves 'em and even slapping a Muse Approval on 'em for purchase!

Sneak Peek: MAC Double Dazzle Review, Swatches, and Photos

Oh MAC how you please me to no end sometimes! Just when the Muse thinks her addiction is under control you throw incredible collections at her like your new Double Dazzle.

Last year the Muse couldn't get enough of MAC Dazzleglass and this year she'll be doubling her pleasure with 18 shades! Oh my gods I'm going to be broke as smoke after this haul! The Muse is just happy that some of the shades are repromote that saves some money right?

Today I'll be bringing you a little sneaky peek of MAC Double Dazzle in a few shades. The official release is April 30th but if we are lucky maybe it'll make a special early appearance? One can hope!

From what I understand some shades are LE but some will remain permanent. Fabulous if you're saving a bit of money at the moment and wish to indulge at a later date plus I think Dazzleglass deserves it's all little special spot amongst the rest of our MAC favorites.

Shades being released are:

  • Sugarrimmed Milky pale pink with red, teal and white pearl
  • Goldyrocks Sheer soft yellow with pink and gold pearl
  • Moth to Flame Sheer neutral beige with violet pearl
  • Smile Light coral with pink and gold pearl
  • Steppin’ Out Clean yellow pink with red pearl
  • Utterly Posh Mid-tone orange with pink and gold pearl
  • Love Alert Raspberry red with red pearl
  • Date Night Deep plum with blue and gold pearl
  • Funtablulous Purple with violet pearl
  • Extra Amps Sheer bright blue pink with blue and pink pearl
  • Like Venus Clean light bubble gum pink with red pearl
  • Stop! Look! Sheer violet mauve with blue and pink pearl
  • Money Honey Mid-tone rosy mauve with red pearl
  • Rags to Riches Plummy pink with teal and red pearl
  • Baby Sparks Pale pink with violet pearl
  • Bare Necessity Caramel apricot with red and gold pearl
  • Girl’s Delight Sheer mid-tone tan with gold pearl
  • Get Rich Quick Warm yellow brown

You'll notice some repromotes above which is great if you missed them the first time around!

I tried out Utterly Posh, Moth to Flame, and Stop! Look! all of which were as fantastic in formula as the previous release although for some reason they looked like they had a whole heck of alot more dazzle but that could be my imagination.

I took some quickie pictures this morning of myself wearing Utterly Posh and Moth to Flame, I'll try to get an FOTD posted soon with Stop! Look!

Utterly Posh is my new best friend as it's a lovely little peach shade that's ideal for Summer! Stop! Look! is a violet mauve with enough pink to make it perfectly wearable. And finally Moth to Flame is a very natural sheer beige that more sparkle than color but regardless still lovely! I actually applied a bit of Moth to Flame and some Utterly Posh on top for double the dazzle w00t!

By now you've probably realized I'm totally Muse Approving these for purchase! I loved 'em last time and I'm loving 'em this time. MAC Double Dazzle is a welcome collection for this Muse and I'm excited to see them return full force!
