Jelly Pong Pong Cheek Puff Fluffy Cheek Stain Review and Swatches

More Jelly Pong Pong Deluxe Bag haulin' ahead chicas!

Jelly Pong Pong Cheek Puff Fluffy Cheek Stain was included with one of my deluxe bags that I recently hauled from Jelly Pong Pong. After getting the bag I gave the stain away to my mate Chris because I already had one. I realized after giving it to her that I should really haul my own and review it for you here!

Click ahead for the deets!

Jelly Pong Pong Cheek Puff Fluffy Cheek Stain is $14 bucks and considerably cheaper than Stila Convertible Color and Bobbi Brown Potted Rouge. Same consistency, same formula, just available in a single shade though.

I dunno why but my first try with Cheek Puff was kinda meh but I did grow to absolutely adore it soon after. Probs I was ranting over it's lack of variety in shades but I soon set my grudge away and just enjoyed Cheek Puff for it's cuteness, inexpensive price tag, and pretty flush it gave my face and cheeks.

No one can accuse Jelly Pong Pong Cheek Puff of not being adorable. Packaged in a sweet little box featuring a baby chick this blush comes housed in a screw top jar that should last you well into the next millennium since a little tiny bit goes a very long way.

Key benefit of the blush is it's incredible staying powder. Pretty much lasts all day through the warm weather, through the rain and snow, past all the humidity and sweat, and right on through your eight hour work day. It's one of those sticky slightly tacky blushes that blends smoothly and adheres to skin like glue. It's not going anywhere, anytime soon.

The shade is a universally flattering dusky pink which is suitable for just about any skin tone as it can be built up to an intense pop of pink or just dabbed on for a very simple flush of rose.

One of my favorite ways to use it is by blending onto my cheeks and topping with a MAC Mineralized Skinfinish, it goes incredibly well with Petticoat! The results are flushed cheeks with a light highlight of gold and rose.

If you're looking for an inexpensive, cute, long wearing cream blush for Summer here it is. Jelly Pong Pong Cheek Puff is fantastic and Muse Approved for purchase all the way!

Likey!

Soap & Glory Touch & Glow Daily Radiance Moisture Lotion Review

Count the Muse beyond please that Soap & Glory didn't take long at all to bring it's new skincare collection to the US. Released on Boots UK early in May I was shocked when it popped right into my Target merely a month or less later. Nice work Soap & Glory!

I recently went a little Soap & Glory mad when it was on sale at Target and picked up quite a few staple items plus much of the skincare bits and bobs which accounts for my endless reviews lately on the brand. Hope you aren't minding too much. As I try hard to search out good beauty budget options as per your requests I thought that Soap & Glory was both budget friendly, high quality, and fun which is why I choose quite a few items for review.

Today I'm taking a look at Soap & Glory Touch & Glow Daily Radiance Moisture Lotion and I'll tell you what I think after the jump!

Soap & Glory Touch & Glow Daily Radiance Moisture Lotion is quite an interesting little product. It's a basic facial lotion but with a little something extra that could appeal to those who like bronzers.

The lotion contains little beads that burst (or should burst) upon contact with your skin. These beads are little bronzing beads which deliver the "glow" to your skin that the product advertises. So basically you're getting a facial lotion that has a tiny hint of tint to it.

The formula is light, decently moisturizing, and quite good for Summer wearin' and tearin'. I think it might work decently on dry, oily, and sensitive skin as the formula is really light so I'm doubtful it'll clog pores. I doubt I can make proper use of it in the Winter though as it doesn't have nearly enough moisturizing benefits for my skin but for light wear in the Summer it's ideal.

Now...the concept of the bronzing beads is a cute idea however it doesn't exactly work unless you burst the beads between your finger tips. If you apply the lotion onto your face even with proper pressure the beads just slip and slide around without bursting. However, if you apply a small amount of lotion to your fingertips you can burst them easily and apply from there. It's not too big a deal but it would work better if I can just apply and burst from the get go.

Honestly, unless you're super duper pale you won't really see any "glow". It gives a decent dewy look to skin but unless you apply a whole lot you really won't see a considerably different in your skin nor will you experience the glow the product advertises.

I love the concept of Soap & Glory Touch & Glow Daily Radiance Moisture Lotion but buy it for the inexpensive price tag, buy it for the cute packaging, buy it for a nice, light Summer facial lotion, however don't buy it because you want to glow because sadly you won't.

I like this. Not a bad moisturizer for the warm days of Summer ahead. I probably won't purchase it again as I'm more a Lush girl as you already know but it's a decent enough product if you're looking for a cheaper facial lotion that won't make your wallet scream out in pain!

Anyone try?

Is it something you'd be willing to try?

Jelly Pong Pong Wakeup Makeup Palette Review

The Muse isn't a morning person. Ugh oh my god I am so not a morning person. I'm more of a night owl and when morning comes I'm all about yanking those covers over my head and pressing snooze a few dozen times! This all means that I can use as much concealer and other makeup to make me as presentable as possible in the morning because I'm left looking rough at 5 am!

Which is why I'm enjoying Jelly Pong Wakeup Makeup Palette. It's a nifty little palette I got with the Jelly Pong Pong Deluxe Gift Bags I recently ordered and told you about. Although I didn't make proper use of the complete palette, I'll tell you why in a sec, I thought some of the items in the palette were rather brilliant!

Check it after the jump!

This chic little palette is quite user friendly for brightening up my entire complexion and getting me looking fresh and awake in the morning. The kit includes an eye brightener, a face brightener, 3 eyebrow shades, tweezers, and a brow brush. The kit is $27.50 and sadly too much for me to dish out for if I was purchasing it separately but since I got it with the gift bag I don't feel too ripped off. Reason I'm not loving the price is because I'll make absolutely no use out of the eyebrow shades as my brows are already dark and full enough. However, if your brows are thinner and need a little filling the kit is awesome.

Even though the eyebrow shades weren't of much use to me I thought the face and eye brighteners were brilliant. The eye brightener isn't extremely pigmented but it still manages to create a nice illusion of a well rested Muse. A tiny touch is all I need to wake my eyes up and make them look nice and fresh. I wouldn't consider this a concealer so don't expect it to hide away dark circles or other under eye woes however it does offer a slight brightening effect. This is great to use maybe after concealer or as a little touch up through the day or when you are using minimal makeup. A little goes a long way as it does have a slight iridescent finish kinda like Lorac Double Feature Concealer. The face brightener is equally as nice as it does create a nice freshness to my skin. The result is very subtle, nothing wow aspiring but I rather like how it makes my skin look fresher particularly after a long day when I'm not wanting to redo all my makeup, a little touch of this and I'm looking nice once again!

Overall, the palette is rather nice if you think you'd make proper use of everything in it. For me it was a tad wasteful as I'm only really getting use from the face and eye brightener and possibly the tweezers. Maybe if they did a palette with just the two creamy brighteners that would be worthy of a purchase from me!

Anyone snag a deluxe bag?

Loving on it?

Jelly Pong Pong Muffin and Meringue Gloss Set Review

I did so promise you a full review of the bits and bobs I got in my Jelly Pong Pong Deluxe Gift Bags didn't I? If you missed the post you can see it here.

Today I'll be showing you Jelly Pong Pong Muffin and Meringue Gloss Set! Too cutes and loving it so far with a hiccup or too here and there.

\

Read it by clicking ahead...!

Housed in a jumbo pink and white striped box the new Jelly Pong Pong Muffin and Meringue Gloss Set contains two tubes of gloss. Loving the packaging so much on these. From the cute box they come in all the way to the very cute squeeze tube glosses I'm not sure what I adore most about these. The packaging of the glosses do not have an applicator so it's a matter of dabbing on with your fingers or a lip brush. Squeeze, apply, and you're good to go.

The set includes Muffin Gloss which is a light pale pink shade and Cherry Meringue which is a glossy berry stain. Both taste very nice although I'm leaning more towards Cherry Meringue as a fav for both taste and color. Muffin Gloss doesn't really taste very muffin-like but more lemony. I didn't really like Muffin's color as it's a very pale, nude pink. These aren't very glossy and they feel a tad silicon like when they are on so I'm unsure if I'm in love with the formula or not at this point. I do like the sheer hint of red that Cherry Meringue gives to my lips and the burst of fruity cherry! Nice!

Overall, I think they are too cute and but I may be super bias about the formula since I adore the packaging so much. For a quick swipe and go they make a fine gloss although for a more fancy look you might prefer going with a MAC Lipglass or something a bit more substantial.

Cutes but needs a little work!

I'm wearing Cherry in my FOTD today which you can see here.

Anyone try these?

Jelly Pong Pong Deluxe Gift Bag II

Not sure if anyone has been visiting Jelly Pong Pong lately but they have Deluxe Gift Bags again! Ok, so this is probably nothing to get too excited about considering the last bags weren't available for shipment outside the UK. Boo! But have no fear they ship worldwide now. Yay!

Jump ahead to read the deets!

Ok, so, deluxe bags. What are they, why do you need 'em. Jelly Pong Pong Deluxe Bags are basically filled with Jelly Pong Pong goodies and offered to us makeup junkies at a seriously discounted price. The first time these were offered Jelly Pong Pong was only shipping within the UK and only had one bag selection available. Since that time, things have changed. These are now available in three selections and are shipped worldwide, wahoo!

Bags are £10 each which converts to $16 USD plus shipping. I purchased all three bags for around $88 USD each which makes each bag around $29 USD each. I broke down each bag and added up what was inside and processed it as $111 USD of items. So buying all three I did save a little bit of money.

Few tips, if you do order they'll charge you shipping but later send an invoice for the remaining shipping as it's a standard flat rate of $6.95 but you'll be charged more. Secondly, the price of $88 USD for all three bags shipped is for residents of the US. Anywhere else I do not know what they will charge for shipping so you can contact them prior to ordering for a shipping details.

Each bag contains two items each and you'll have three choices for bags however you cannot choose the contents of bags. The bags are as follows:

Jelly Pong Pong Deluxe Bag One Includes:

Jelly Pong Pong Hawaiian Sun ($20 USD Regular Price)

Jelly Pong Pong Cheek Puff ($14 USD Regular Price)

Jelly Pong Pong Deluxe Bag Two

Jelly Pong Pong Muffin and Meringue Gloss Set ($22 USD Regular Price)

Jelly Pong Pong Brush Set ($12 USD Regular Price)

Jelly Pong Pong Deluxe Bag Three

Jelly Pong Pong Wakeup Makeup ($27.50 USD Regular Price)

Jelly Pong Pong Cherry Pie ($15 USD Regular Price)

All the items in the bag are full size products and very, very cute. I'll be reviewing the items I got in my bags shortly in various posts. All in all I think these are really good deals and a great way to try out Jelly Pong Pong. All the items are brand new to the Jelly Pong Pong line and some are particularly fun for Summer.

If you want to indulge visit www.jellypongpong.com

If you're just wanting one of the items you see in a bag you can always order it separately as well!

Happy Shopping!

Soap & Glory Wash Your Hands Of It Hand Wash Review

Please tell me I'm not the only one addicted to the famous Soap & Glory scent? I just love taking big sniffs of this stuff, it's like crack I tell you! I stock up on the shower gel like no one's biz because it smells so incredible (I sometimes wash my hair with it too shhhh!).

My second go to item is the Soap & Glory Wash Your Hands Of It Hand Wash. Hey, the next best thing is having Soap & Glory scented hands loves it!

Does anyone even have a name for what this smells like? It's kinda a bit muscular isn't it? I can't even describe it, just get to Target (or Boots) and sniff it!

Soap & Glory Wash Your Hands Of It is made with shea butter for a soothing hand wash hey it even has built in skin conditioners! It's made with dry hands in mind as it's meant to sooth, moisturize, and not dry out hands.

Likey!

But it's the smell that gets this Muse every time...oh that incredible smell...I wish I could describe it but words fail me, it's hard to make this Muse speechless.

It could be considered on the expensive side as it is $9.99 USD for an 8.4oz size and I tell ya the way this Muse washes her hands that could last two days at most. But I think it's a worth it indulgence. By the way the cute retro packaging doesn't hurt either!

Loves it!

Go have a sniff at Target and come back and tell me if you don't fall for it quick! Total Muse Approval for purchase.

Boots Original Beauty Formula Review

Well slap me happy the Boots Original Beauty Formula is at Target! Back to basics is where it's at with Boots Original Beauty Formula. The Muse heard about Boots Original Beauty Formula about a month ago when she popped across it on the Boots UK site but little did she know she'd find it at her local Target so quickly.

Well, whoa. Awesome Target! Well done.

I honestly didn't expect to see this arrive at Target so quickly and it was shocking to see the display sitting there all happy like and awaiting me to haul from it. The Muse hearts you Target.

Jump ahead for the raves.

Back to basics is where it's at with the Boots Original Beauty Formula. Think your grandmother's skincare regime and you'll pretty much get the idea. Heavy glass jars, rose scented products, and just a very basic concept. Loves it. The Muse happens to love the C.O. Bigelow Rose line so she of course is totally digging all over everything in the Boots Original Beauty Formula as many of the skincare items are rose scented.

I only indulged in the facial line but there is an entire body line available as well. Sadly, my Target was sold out of alot of the items available but I still managed to haul three prime pieces.

It deserves to be mentioned that these items are no way going to take over my normal skincare regime but regardless they are decently priced and fun for those days I'm just hurrying to do a quick clean up at the end of the night.

I hauled the following items:

  • Boots Original Beauty Formula Cold Cream ($9.99 USD)
  • Boots Original Beauty Formula Overnight Skin Cream ($12.99 USD)
  • Boots Original Beauty Formula Skin Tonic Damask Rose ($9.99 USD)

Before I get into my review I will mention that with the conversion rate as it is right now, the prices of the products are around the same as what you'd get in the UK minus $1-$4 at most. I picture little old English ladies running to their newest Boots to stock up on all these items.

As I mentioned this is very basic skincare, simplicity at it's best in my humble opinion. The Boots Original Beauty Formula Cold Cream has a light rose scent that's very pretty but could prove too much for those sensitive to smell. It comes housed in a heavy vintage glass style jar and is an extra thick, cold cream meant for removing makeup. Now it's not going to get off waterproof mascara but it does a fine job of removing everything else and washing cleanly away while making your face feeling very moist and dewy. To use simply rub onto dry skin and remove with a wet wash cloth, rinse and done, simple!

Boots Original Formula Overnight Skin Cream is a bergamot scented night cream, sigh I sure did wish for rose but that's ok it smells lovely none the less. It's quick absorbing and leaves skin feeling very moisturized however it could possibly be a bit too much for oily or even normal skin types. It's not thick mind you and has a gel-like feel but it's just a tad heavy. almost but not quite greasy. I find it does an good job as an overnight cream and leaves my dry skin nice and moist but it does make my forehead a tiny shiny. Not bad though and I'm sure I'll be thankful for it in the Winter. Again, it also comes housed in a heavy vintage style jar. I'm quite partial to the packaging of all of the line as it's so retro and vanity worthy.

Lastly I hauled the Boots Original Beauty Formula Skin Tonic which is also rose scented. This contains a combination of rose oil and hydrating glycerin. I'm no stranger to these ingredients as I use them quite often in the Winter to get my face prepped and primed for moisturizer! I was in high debate with myself over the price however since it's a 5oz size for $9.99 and I can get an 8oz of Burts Bees Rosewater & Glycerin Toner for $9-$12. I've since forgiven it for the price since it comes in such a cute glass bottle. It feels a tad more moisturizing compared to what I normally use and honestly rose oil and glycerin in any form is a gift from the gods the Muse thinks. It works amazing at removing flaky skin and prepping your skin so whether you try this one or just any glycerin toner, know that your skin will thank you every so kindly for the extra moisture.

I'm unsure whether I deem the items expensive. It seems like very large jars that will last a while so I lean towards saying they are quite nicely priced. I'm quite pleased that Target imported them so quickly as I really thought we'd possibly never see them or it would be months before they reached our shores. If you're looking for a nice, simple skincare regime I recommend checking these out. I'm quite happy with all three and the entire line seems quite wonderful. Boots never really fails to make me smile. Well done Boots and Target the Muse Approves.
