Majolica Majorca Fall Collection 2009

It's not surprising that the Majolica Majorca Fall Collection 2009 is extremely tiny and slightly disappointing. This isn't too shocking considering the larger Summer release of eight brand new palettes.

Jump ahead for more details!

I'm loving the imagery for Fall '09 with it's slight BDSM twist, quite nice. A little goth, a little BDSM, oh my MJ have you gone all dark on me again? As I mentioned above it doesn't really shock me that the release is extra tiny since Majolica Majorca Summer Collection was quite huge. I find it fun that Summer was "innocent" and Fall is a little bit evil. I see a trend developing here as Urban Decay has a little bit of innocence going on and a little bit of evil too with it's new lippie shades.

The collection releases July 21st in Japan and will include the following items:

Majolica Majorca Perfect Automatic Liner in 7 Shades hold little appeal for me. I have one of the old versions and it's utter crap (either that or I suck at liquid liner application). The promo image alone makes me want to purchase one to attempt an exotic look but I won't bother, meh!

Majolica Majorca Cheek Customize in a new shade? Whoa been ages since we seen any new colors. This appears more of a highlighter but we'll have wait and see! Again, another item I can safely skip, kinda boring.

Majolica Majorca Honey Pump Gloss Neo is a creamy tinted version of the regular Honey Plump Gloss. Honey Plump Gloss is decent enough but I'm not going to bother with this either, just kinda ho-hum. I'm such a killjoy aren't I? Sorry, just not feeling the excitement here.

Majorca Majolica Honey Pump Lip Essence seems a special release of some kind of Honey Plump and yes you guessed it, boringggggg!

A majority of the items are pretty much releases that have already been done before just with little differences here and there. I suspect Winter/Holiday 2009 will be small but perhaps more appealing (one can hope).

This is somewhat good news as I can use the money I was saving for Fall '09 and spend it on the Summer palettes I have yet to haul!

What do you think?

Majolica Majorca Fall Collection 2009 Yay or Nay?

Me, I'm saying nay. They could have done slightly better.

Product Musings: Majorica Majolica Lash Expander Mascara

Care to Muse Majolica Majorca with me? It's been a while since I mused Japanese cosmetics. After talking with some of my mates on Twitter today I realized how much I miss musing about on CozyCot about makeup and just posting hauls and such. Good times!

I was inspired to product muse about one of my favorite mascaras soon after. Majolica Majorca Lash Expander is worthy of a muse for sures!

For the longest time Majolica Majorca mascaras were my go to holy grail mascara for longer, fuller lashes. I swear MJ mascara has some magical formula that makes my lashes look incredible. I've been so busy testing everything in the sun the past year or so I can't recall the last time I purchased a new version of MJ mascara. With each new season Majolica Majorca has a knack for introducing a new mascara with a supposedly new and improved formula. Most times the formulas are as incredible as the last but I'm a traditionalist and love the simple old Lash Expander as is.

The design of the mascara is meant for Asian eyes and lashes as the applicator tends to fit the contour of an Asian eye very well and pulls lashes upwards and out. I love it because it always gives my lashes a fuller, longer look. Particularly longer! Many mascaras I've tried and none give me as much length as I get from MJ.

It's my first Japanese love and will remain so ever after. I'll continue to buy new versions as it releases and I'll try not to push it aside when I'm busy testing other mascaras as I must remind myself it's superior to all others. Loves it!

Are you a fan of MJ mascara?

Why or why not?

Beauty Reflections: Summer Collections 2008

Step back in time with the Muse and re-visit with some of what was happening in Summer 2008.

Bobbi Brown taught this Muse a thing or two about the benefits of combining pink with beautiful bronzes to create a killer Summer look! Check out the Muse's review of the Bobbi Brown Bronzed Pink Collection from 2008.

Much excitement was afoot when the Muse discovered the new Stila Kitten goodies but sadly they did so disappointed. Gather round and listen to a tale of Stila Kitten Silk Shimmer Gloss and Stila Kitten Silk Eye Shadow Wash.

MAC Solar Bits were somehow easy to forget after the Muse originally purchased them and you'll understand why after reading my review!

What was the deal with Too Faced Mineral Water? Find out by reading my review.

Bless Be! The KATE Summer Collection 2008 was absolutely a joy for this Muse! She was partial to her favorite shadows being released in three new shades. Japan never looked so good.

Urban Decay taught the Muse how to love bronzer! Check out her review of the Urban Decay Summer Collection 2008 after this jump.

Please MAC won't your bring back Volcanic Ash this Summer?

Small but lovely was the Majorca Majolica Summer Collection 2008.

Vincent Long Liquid Shadow had a Muse crying nay! Check out her review on these shadows introduced in the Summer of '08.

Addict? Sure definately an addiction when it comes to the Dior Addict Ultra Gloss Reflect shades that were released last year. Loves 'em!

Cooling off with Etude House Aqua Sherbet Skincare was easy especially since it smelled so pretty and looked equally gorgeous.

Hope you had fun clicking through some of Summer 2008. Maybe you came across a few reviews you missed from last year or discovered something new.

The Muse is a wonderin'.....

What's your favorite releases from last Summer?

Share 'em with me!

Majolica Majorca Summer 2009: Majolica Majorca Innocent Pleasure

Majolica Majorca has updated it's main portal with the brand new Summer Collection for '09 entitled Innocent Pleasure. Although I can't say I'm all that excited about Majolica Majorca Innocent Pleasure, I can't deny that I always feel a certain hype about viewing the new items released.

Jump ahead for a peek!

In typical Majolica Majorca fashion you have to "find" the new items on the site. The theme of Innocent Pleasure is portrayed in an Adam and Eve-like fashion with a tree, a snake, and tempting goodies hidden within the three.

The collection does make me wired for the new palettes as this is quite a large Summer Collection especially when compared to last year's extremely tiny release. A total of eight palettes are being introduced which is pretty huge for MJ. That's a whole lot of palette. Although the release of eight palettes is very, very exciting, I personally can't help but be disappointed by the same ho-hum color collection that's typical to MJ and most every other Japanese brand. Sigh. Aside from RD784 I'm not feeling the love for any of the shade selections although I imagine I'll indulge in a few if not all since I collect MJ palettes (diseased am I). GR780 should excite those who missed out on GR741 the limited edition palette from the Spring 2008 line up. It's not a total dupe but it is fairly different for MJ to go with aquas/teals.

A brand new solid perfume is also released. I'm not sure as of yet what it smells like but it also looks a tad uneventful but of course, again, I'll def indulge. And finally several new nail polishes.

All in all I find it very exciting that MJ released eight palettes but a bit crestfallen it's the same old colors over and over. Many of the shades are quite similar to palettes I already have from the line. Oh well. One of my readers, Jenn from Japan, was nice enough to share her pamphlet she got while viewing Majolica Majorca at Welcia. Thanks Jenn! We heart you!

Stash Spotlight: Majolica Majorca Majolook Palettes

I have a serious disease when it comes to collecting, hoarding, and stashing away crazy amounts of Majolica Majorca Majolook Palettes.

Even the ones that suck somehow end up in my arsenal of insanity. Is it a sin to collect palettes I don't even use? Am I going to hell?

I think I pretty much have ever Majolica Majorca Majolook Palette released over the course of the past few years. Many people will beg to to say that Majolook palettes aren't as good as Majorca Majolica singles or not as great as many other releases but honestly about 85% of the ones I have, I absolutely adore.

The colors always work well together, the liner that comes with some of them is pretty decent quality, and I kinda dig the compact palettes!

Hope you enjoy the photos of my sickness! I even included some of the Majolica Majorca Majewel Palettes, my flavorites!

How about you?

Love MJ?

Love the palettes?

Tell the Muse!

Majorca Majolica Girly Erotica

Majolica Majorca Girly Erotica is up and active on the MJ website!

I LOVE the new story! The goth element plus the little spider made me giddy! I think it's one of the simpler stories they have done on the site as there is nothing to "find" and everything is right there to click on, open, and view.

Nice!

I also noticed they now have a great option as soon as the first page loads which allows you to click a link and this opens the entire general catalog of items available. Great feature.

Love the goth element, love the spider, but the collection is meh at best! Pretty disappointed about the lack of items available but I'll survive.

GWP? Cutes! Love me some spiders!

Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus is the brand new mascara releasing for Spring which I will pick up for sure.

Also available are two new Majolica Majorca Honey Plump Glosses and finally Majolica Majorca Pressed Pore Cover Face Powder.

Spidey nails!

So you can obviously why I'm lacking excitement. I'll be snatching up the mascara and I'm debating on the powder as I have several powders from MJ already and I'll def skip the Honey Plump Glosses as I have at least six to get through already. Very disappointed at the lack of palettes or lack of virtually anything for the eyes aside from the mascara.

It's really a bare minimal collection and I'm a tiny bit shocked they didn't go further with it.

Economy do you think?

Hmmmm...the Muse is sad. I need a hug!

If you're interested in reading the story you can check back to see if the Singapore site updates as that will be in English. At the moment the I am Gorgeous promo is still live so you'll have to see in a few weeks if it changes.
