Yay or Nay: Harajuku Lovers Fragrance

By now you probably tried out the Harajuku Lovers Fragrance Collection by either spritzing down in store, getting a sample or two somewhere, or purchasing some for your very self!

Today's Yay or Nay is all about Harajuku Lovers Fragrance! Did you love 'em? Are Harajuku Lovers Fragrance a yay or a nay for you?

Share it with me and click below for my reply!

The Muse was pretty in love with the entire line up of Harajuku Lovers Fragrance so it's a solid yay for me. I read a few lame-o reviews and was feeling kinda shocked since I really enjoyed the scents, packaging, and general feel of the product. I thought all the blends were really unique and fun plus the packaging was too cutes! So def a yay for me! I loved Harajuku Lovers Fragrance!

How about you?

Harajuku Lovers Thanksgiving Day Float at the Macy's Parade

Guys, guys, guys! Look!

Tis the Harajuku Lovers Thanksgiving Day Float that will be making a special appearance at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade! The Muse is quite excited about this! She can't help herself she loves the idea of a Harajuku Lovers Float...

Sadly, I'll won't be in the city for Thanksgiving Day this year so the Muse will miss the awesome float but no worries I'll be glued to the tube watching the parade with my family and friends on the big day!

If you're in New York or will be visiting New York for the parade you can head over to Columbus Circle (west side of the street; Broadway between 38th and 58th Street and 34th Street, the south side of the street b ween Broadway and 7th Avenue) to catch your glimpse of the Harajuku Lovers Thanksgiving Day Float! This will be between 9am and 12pm on Thanksgiving Day!

The float is inspired by the downtown Harajuku area in Tokyo and will feature multi-levels with glass platforms that show the lights of Tokyo in full effect! On board will be the balloonhead alter agos of Love, Lil Angel, Music, Baby, and G and also taking the trip through Manhattan will be the real Love, Angel, Music and Baby!

In addition to seeing the float, there will also be team members handing out samples of the fragrances and cards for a special gift with purchase! If you're going to be there you better take pictures for the Muse! She wants to see it up close and personal!

Check out more images of the float by checking out the official Harajuku Lovers Flickr feed! For further info about the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade you can click here!

To wrap up the week today I'll be reviewing the Harajuku Lovers Fragrance G which is my very favorite scent from the collection!

Never one to get lost in the crowd, G leads her crew in a white, corseted top and a blue miniskirt á la Alice in Wonderland. Quirky, unique, and undeniably cool, G is the leader of the pack. Her scent is an oriental, fruity, gourmand fragrance with notes of fresh coconut, jasmine, and cotton woods.

Although G has some sincerely amazing notes like Mandarin, Jasmine Sambac, Sandalwood and Coconut. Personally the Muse gets toasty coconut as the most dominant note so toasty in fact that she wants to roll around in it! The scent is quite tropical and gorgeous! It's a creamy coconut blend with hints of jasmine and floral. Although the coconut is the most dominant note you can get certain whiffs of unique, exotic secondary notes like the jasmine and sandalwood. It's really a rather warm fragrance that makes me think of the warm, humid Summer! G is on top of my favorite list so I love anything that has tropical aspects to it. I recommend G if you like your blends warm and fun.

I'm kinda sad to end these posts as I was having so much fun reviewing them! I hope that Gwen will introduce us to a brand new lot of fragrances really soon as I totally adored all of the Harajuku Lovers Fragrances and each girl had something unique and special to offer! All the scents are Muse Approved for purchase! You should def check 'em out for yourself!

Harajuku Lovers Baby Review

Nobody puts Baby in the corner!

Well smack my forehead that's totally the wrong Baby isn't it?

Oh, how the mighty have fallen! That's the wrong Baby too!

Actually the Muse will give you some relief from all the bad Baby references by presenting you with a review of the Harajuku Girls Fragrance Baby!

Happy?

This week the Muse has been happily going through each of the new Harajuku Girl Fragrances for you! If you haven't already best head over to my contest and enter to win a Harajuku Girls Solid Perfume Coffret!

Squee!

Now Baby is exactly what you'd come to expect from a scent named so. She's smells exactly like a baby! Soft, powder fresh, and sweet!

One bat of her lashes and Baby has all the boys in the palm of her hand! Pretty in pink, Baby steps out in a short baby doll dress and sweet Mary Janes. Her scent is a powdery floral with notes of white rose, orange flower, and white musk.

Don't get confused by her notes of white rose, orange flower, and musk because honestly she's a purely powder scent and holds no notes of floral for me. Although the sound of a powder fresh scent may be slightly off putting for some I think it's a rather fresh, clean smell that anyone can appreciate. Baby also happens to linger quite strongly for such a soft smell! She sweet and she's clean and she holds that special flirty fun feel that all the Harajuku Lovers Fragrances have in common!

The Muse liked this one alot! Although Music and G remains her favorite Baby falls closely behind! By the way I actually discovered a "baby" who loves Love! Meet Mylee who's mum runs Wake Up to Makeup! Mylee obviously thinks Love is super! Who thinks we should just give Mylee the coffret because she's just so bloody cute!

See I wasn't lying when I said Love was awesome!

Tried this?

Love it?

Harajuku Lovers Love Review

They say all we need is love! Personally the Muse thinks all we need is more John Lennon but hey who am I to complain?

In the case of Harajuku Lovers Fragrances it's possible that Love may be all you need! Love like her name is sweet, romantic and sensual.

Sweet, Caring, and Free Spirited, Love is always off in her own little world. Stepping out in a cute, striped mini dress and fashionable red kicks, Love wears her heart on her sleeve, or rather in her hair! Her scent is reminiscent of a floral bouquet, with notes of pink pomelo rose and creamy vanilla orchid.

Love starts out with hints of peach but has a slow build up of peony, rose, and jasmine to create a floral dry down that's laden with hints of beautiful vanilla. When compared with her sisters, she happens to be on the softer side of the scents and carries a beautiful soft finish!

If you like your blends romantic and sensual with hints of soft florals Love is probably all you need! The Muse thought love was a rather beautiful blend of flowers with a tiny hint of sweet peach and a hard base of vanilla that made the blend beautiful for both day and evening! As with all the Harajuku Girls fragrances, Love does contain a good dose of fun!

Harajuku Lovers Music Review

To celebrate the Muse's latest contest to win a Harajuku Girls Solid Perfume Coffret she thought she'd do a week in review of each Harajuku Fragrance!

I've already reviewed these prior but that was by nose alone considering that I had only tried out 'Lil Angel and reviewed the other based on scent cards! I've since gotten the chance to test this out by spraying, smelling, and testing them out on myself so I can give a better more detail review of each blend! Yay! Each Harajuku Girl fragrance is unique and interesting to say the least! I'm starting my review today with the Harajuku Girls Fragrance Music.

Always looking to make someone laugh, charismatic Music has no qualms telling it like it is! Stylin' in a smocked sailor outfit and black lace-up boxing boots, Music marches to the beat of her own drum! Her scent is fruity floral with notes of pear, sweet pea, and sleek wood!

Music's fruity base of pear dominates her fragrance but the combination of sweet pea creates a very special, unique floral blend that's fun and lively! Although all five scents are something I savored and enjoyed I must say that I lean towards Music as topping my favorite list as she's definitely different to say the least. Music manages to combine fun and sexy thanks to the slight woodsy vanilla note that comes out after dry down. The scent manages to last all day with 2-3 sprays which is pretty brilliant when taking into consideration these are EDT's! Music should appeal to those who like a fresh, fruity, flirty blend.

The Muse likes this one because although it has touches of floral yet it still manages to remain sweet and the Muse is all about sweet blends! Music is a favorite for this Muse and says to give it a shot for yourself! It's Muse Approved for purchase!

Harajuku Lovers Fragrance Review

If you haven't yet been exposed to Gwen Stefani's new Harajuku Lovers Fragrances you must be leaving under a rock!

These things are everywhere, literally.

The fragrances have amazing Internet exposure and can be found at many high end counters across the line. I'm really impressed with the huge marketing campaign these have! Whoever is on the marketing team deserves a great big pat on the back for really getting the line exposed and out there!

I'm particularly delighted that these are appearing on popular sites like youTube, mySpace, Flickr, etc.....If you're a beauty blogger you can really appreciate the fact that the marketing has extended itself to such a vast electronic market. Granted websites are one thing but youTube, mySpace, and even Facebook are quite another!

You can find any and all information you can possibly want on Harajuku Lovers Fragrance at the following locations:

Harajuku Lovers MySpace

Harajuku Lovers YouTube
Harajuku Lovers Flickr
Harajuku Lovers Facebook
Harajuku Lovers Official Website

I admit I spent way too much time on the website yesterday watching the user created karaoke videos and contemplating making my own. Guilty!

I've only officially tested out one of the fragrances and the rest I have tester cards for so I can't review too completely on all the scents however I did head to my local Nordstrom and had a peek and decided I must haves them all! The Muse loves any and all Asian aspired goodies (my blog can attest to that I'm sure) and these are under my radar now so I'm definately buying one of each. After all, you can't just have one! They'll get lonely if they aren't together! It's a group thing!

I read a few negative reviews but I honestly only have positive things to say about the collection. The scents are very girlish which appeals to me in a major way as I really like lighter, sweeter scents. Each perfume comes topped with a cute little Harajuku girl which adds to the charm and appeal of collecting all of them! The line up consists of five different scents each a new and different experience.

I've been wearing 'Lil' Angel for the last several days and loving it. Although at first whiff the fragrance does have a rather strong alcohol scent this does not carry out onto your skin. Dry down is a beautiful blend of raspberry as the dominant note and moves forward with a combination of fruit and floral to create a fresh, sweet smell on the skin. In consideration that this is an Eau de Toilette I was delighted that it had considerable long wear and lasted about six hours prior to needing a fresh up. In my experience that's pretty good wear for an EDT.

Although I'm not a big lover of florals I think Love was beautiful. It's a light floral scent that's a cocktail of roses, peony, and other softer notes with a base of musk. Love appealed to my girly side in a major way!

Baby is a powdery musk with top notes of white rose and a soft white musk base. Her name contributes to what she smells like, a baby! Very powdery, fresh, girlish, and sweet! This definately appeals to my inner child!

Although Music is a delicate floral blend it happens to very fun as well with a top base of pear and a base of musk and vanilla! It's my second favorite of the five and really appeals to the fun side of my personality!

And finally G! G is a tropical blend of fresh coconut and cream that can only be described as fruity and lively! This is another favorite of mine. I love tropical blends and this definately brings that to the table but also pushes it further with notes of Cotton Woods and Freesia!

The scents are all really fun and I'll be indulging in all five for myself. I can't help but approved 'em for purchase as they are too adorable to resist! You know what would be seriously awesome...if Gwen extended her line of fragrances and couture and brought in some cosmetics...that would be awesome! I'd be all over that like white on rice!

Love these?

Want all five?

Lemming a certain scent?

Tell the Muse!
