DERMAdoctor Med E Tate Review

Dude, wait, people get Botox because they sweat? Say word, who knew? If you seek a blissfully dry (as in sweating) existence it appears there are all sorts of remedies for it including injections and prescription drugs. Whoa. And I thought I had problems, luckily sweat never was one.

But it's ok...if you sweat..alot...or a little...the Muse still loves you...mmmm just don't touch me I'm kinda a germ phobic k?

Seriously though, if you sweat quite alot or enough to make you uncomfortable DERMAdoctor is here to fix the problem right up. You know how much love I have for the good doctor? She rocks my eyes daily and makes 'em look all kinda of well rested!

Check out DERMAdoctor Med E Tate after the jump!

DERMADoctor Med E Tate are medicated hyperhidrosis-control wipes for use on your face or body to keep you dry all day.

Hyperhidrosis is excessive sweating even though a person remains inactive. This effects the face, under your arms, palms, soles, areas under the breasts, cleavage, etc...You don't have to have hyperhidrosis to take advantage of DERMAdoctor Med E Tate as it also promises to keep makeup from melting away on a hot day! The product comes in individually wrapped packets and are medium size wipes that are heavily saturated with product. They feel cooling and non sticky after application.

I was recently given DERMAdoctor Med E Tate to test out and I wasn't quite sure the best way to use 'em. I don't really have a prob in the sweating department as I remain comfortably dry all day, yo Secret deo thanks chica! So I tested them in two ways....I gave packets to all the men in my life. Good friends, my dad (who sweats terribly in heat), and even to my friend Jillian who, god bless her soul, runs 3 miles daily even in the heat. As for me? I collected the data and heard what they had to say about the pads and I also gave 'em a whirl myself one day while I was outside for over 8 hours.

Most of my friends didn't get the point and I was left with, "huh?" "wait what?" "you want me to use this under my arms and on my face...?" Yea well obviously these aren't the most intelligent men in the world.

My dad was funnier as he thought it was rather great. He didn't use them under his arms according to him but he did end up wiping his forehead with only one (I gave him five but he didn't use them all) and said that it remained drip free all day. Go dad!

As for Jillian she used it the same way my dad did and had the same results but she also ended up using one under her arms as well and just reported feeling a cool sensation under pits for most of the run plus since the pad was so saturated she wasn't sure if she was sweating or if it was the pad the entire time that was wet...geez....obviously this is why I'm the blogger around here...what terrible reviewers.

As for me since I'm not much of a sweater I felt like they were a rather nice cool down treatment on a sunny day. I'm not sure if they did much for makeup as they are so saturated I was terribly scared to wipe my face with them for fear of the pad removing my makeup but I did use on my forehead and the back of knees and it was a nice cooling sensation. One area it did seem to exceed at keeping cool and dry free was the middle of my back. I don't sweat but my back tends to get damp on a very hot day. I ended up wiping my back with one prior to going outside and my back, surprised, remained completely dry. It wasn't too hot a day so I think I'll be taking these along with me when I head to California in the Fall as I want to test them out when I'm walking around in 85-90 degree heat and see if they still keep my back dry free.

So far I've read alot of reviews as I was curious what people were saying and it seems a big time rave.

If you sweat alot these could be a life saver and perhaps worthy of a pick up (maybe if you have sweaty palms you can now rejoice at these keeping them dry!). One box contains 30 pads for $48.

Anyone try these?

Musings of the Day: Favorite Eye Cream

I'm actually asking this question for my own personal gain as I'm curious what the HG of all eye creams really is! I've searched high and low for a good eye cream and have yet to really find my holy grail eye cream.

Jump ahead to read which ones I've tried that I do like...

I'm about to start rounding up eye creams and start testing driving a few of 'em for Musings and do a full on article about my findings so I'm pretty curious what everyone's favs are!

For me, La Mer The Eye Concentrate is without a doubt the best eye cream I've ever had the privy of touching with my greedy little hands. I've only briefly tried small samples but I seen results almost instantly in those times I tried it. Sadly, I seriously can't afford the price. I'd totally buy it if it was bigger but for such a small size I can't really think about spending that much :(

Sniffle.

I also really like DERMAdoctor Wrinkle Revenge Cream which works quite well but isn't really as moisturizing as I'd like sadly. And finally I'm a fond fan of Dr. Denese HydroShield Ultra Moisturizing Eye Serum.

Aside from these I haven't really found anything else that I really absolutely adore....so I'll be diving more fully into eye creams over the next few weeks to see what works well, what doesn't work, and what could be HG material!

How about you?

What are your favs?

DermaDoctor Ain't Misbehavin' Intensive Skin-Correcting Sulfur Mask Review

The Muse is pretty lucky as she rarely gets pimples or acne or spots of any kind. Her skin is nice and clear thankfully with a pimple that pops up on a rare occasion. This could account for the Muse is well past the age to be bothered by acne or it could be Lush skincare that takes good care of her skin. Whatever the case may be it's pretty rare that I have any problems in regards to acne.

When I decided to try out DermaDoctor Ain't Misbehavin' Intensive Skin-Correcting Sulfur Mask I was having a rather good day in regards to my skin so I decided to tuck it away for a day I really needed it. That day happened to come this week when a big fat pimple popped up on the side of my face...actually thinking about it...it's kinda a crop of pimples...ewww! I'm unsure where these came from but they did decide to take up residence on my face and hang out with me for a bit. Here in lay a perfect excuse to try the mask out!

First things first I think it deserves to be said that the mask is a tad bit intense or at least I felt like it was so I'm unsure how those with sensitive skin will fair. When I say intense I mean it does have a slightly warm almost burning feeling as it does contain a healthy dose of Benzoyl Peroxide. I have a normal skin type and I wasn't really bugged over much by the burning however if you're a bit sensitive this could cause redness or burning so do a spot check prior to doing a complete treatment. The mask also contains 10% Sulfur which is the highest level of sulfur approved to kill blemish-causing bacteria and aid in exfoliation of the skin.

DermaDoctor Ain't Misbehavin' Intensive Skin-Correcting Sulfur Mask can be used either as a mask or a spot treatment. I used it as a full mask treatment this week to clear up the crop of pimples that were happily vacationing on my face however if you think your skin is on the sensitive side you can dab a bit on before bed to zap away unwanted pests.

I've used masks like this before and have always had one main problem with them....drying...they are terribly, terribly drying. So drying in fact that my skin flakes and peels off! Gross! The good news is that this mask is actually quite gentle and it washes clear off without leaving a dry spot behind! For me that's pretty amazing as it does contain ingredients that are normally very drying to my skin.

In order to use the mask you'll simply be applying a thin layer of the product to your face and leave it on for 15 minutes before washing off with cool water. The mask dries fairly quickly and it'll start to feel quite tight on your face. For the crop of pimples on my face it took two mask treatments to rid myself of the pesky demons. I used the product once in the evening prior to bed, again the next evening, and on the third day I seen that the pimples had disappeared completely. Pretty good results. In regards to heavier acne you may want to try it out for three times a week for a month to see results. I think it'll do well at clearing up moderate to heavier acne woes but results will vary from person to person. One aspect of the mask that you may find helpful is it's quite drying for oily skin types so this could help rid yourself of oily skin which sometimes is the root of all evil when it comes to acne.

The formula boasts quite a nice floral scent which I liked very much however once it dries down and you're washing it off you'll get a very faint rotten egg smell which is of course the sulfur but honestly it's not bad at all when compared to some products and for the most part I really loved the floral scent during application....it's quite fresh and herbal like almost. The packaging is fantastic! It comes in push applicator which allows you to push to release the mask a la Kate Somerville moisturizers and exfoliators which means your fingers aren't dipping in the product.

Who should use it?

At $45 USD it's not cheap so if you rarely get pimples you might not want to indulge in such an expensive product however if you have acne regularly or suffer from it daily it's probably well worth trying out to see how well it does clearing up your skin. The formula penetrates pores and eliminates and prevents acne blemishes so in conjunction with other DermaDoctor skincare you may successfully be on your way to clearer skin in a month or so.

I actually liked the mask alot and will probably repurchase it in the future since it worked so quickly. It's a nice item to have in my medicine cabinet on the days when an ugly pimple rears it's head. Personally I'd buy it again simply because of the lack of unpleasant drying that's associated with most acne products I've tried. This is a key selling point for me because I seriously can't stand how flaky and dry my skin gets after using simple spot treatment products.

All in all if you're looking for a quick recovery, a spot treatment, or something for heavier acne woes this is worth checking out. I thought it did a great job of banishing my pimples and getting my skin back to normal minus all the fuss of dry skin!
