Musings of the Day: Favorite Eye Cream

I'm actually asking this question for my own personal gain as I'm curious what the HG of all eye creams really is! I've searched high and low for a good eye cream and have yet to really find my holy grail eye cream.

Jump ahead to read which ones I've tried that I do like...

I'm about to start rounding up eye creams and start testing driving a few of 'em for Musings and do a full on article about my findings so I'm pretty curious what everyone's favs are!

For me, La Mer The Eye Concentrate is without a doubt the best eye cream I've ever had the privy of touching with my greedy little hands. I've only briefly tried small samples but I seen results almost instantly in those times I tried it. Sadly, I seriously can't afford the price. I'd totally buy it if it was bigger but for such a small size I can't really think about spending that much :(

Sniffle.

I also really like DERMAdoctor Wrinkle Revenge Cream which works quite well but isn't really as moisturizing as I'd like sadly. And finally I'm a fond fan of Dr. Denese HydroShield Ultra Moisturizing Eye Serum.

Aside from these I haven't really found anything else that I really absolutely adore....so I'll be diving more fully into eye creams over the next few weeks to see what works well, what doesn't work, and what could be HG material!

How about you?

What are your favs?

Tell the Muse!

Clinique's All About Eyes is my HG for eye cream...the best I've tried so far for staving off those 'panda eye' mornings, and even the small crows eyes are looking good.. :)

Not having tried that many different eye creams, I must call Clinque All Aout Eyes Rich my favorite. Though I must say that I will most definately give the "normal" All Abouit Eyes (without the "Rich") a try next time, especially as summer is around the corner (believe it or not!).

I loved La Mer's Eye Balm but they're slowly phasing it out since there's the Eye Concentrate. Sadly, the Eye Concentrate doesn't work for me :( My eyes get really swollen after applying it.

Dr. Brandt R3P Eye Cream! This is for the oldies that beyond Dr. Brandt's lineless eye cream, with extra pentapeptides.

It visibily reduces eye bags and dark circles.

hi Viktbloggerskan!

I really need to re-test Clinique ;) I think all about the eyes normal is great for day use and all about the eyes rich is good for night time :) that'd be ideal :)

Really need to retest these out!

hi connie!

Love love it but way too costly for me :( Strangely enough it does burn my eyes a fair bit..but so long as I don't get it too near my eyes I'm ok hehe!

Can't recall using the eye concentrate since I fell so hard for the balm!

I've never used an eye cream...except for samples of Clinique.

I guess I should really look into finding one...we'll see after all your testing.=)

I don't use an eye cream! Is that crazy talk? I'm 21 and don't have dark circles or anything so I haven't yet felt the need :/ x x x

thanks for this post! and what a coincidence, really. the past week or so, i've been researching eye creams relentlessly. i finally bought clinique's all about eyes - we'll see how that goes. part of me wanted to try a drugstore eye cream as well, but that snobby part of me told me, even though they might be way more inexpensive (and, therefore, worth the try), i shouldn't even waste my money. i was also looking into shu uemura's ace ß-G reinforcing eye cream. anyway, i'm curious to see what everyone recommends.

Hey Muse :)

I'm going to agree that Dr. Brandt r3p is the best affordable one out there. Also, Shiseido benefiance concentrated antiwrinkle is also pretty good for the price. :)

Hi, I have serious dark circles and eyebags (partially bcoz of my dad and my insomnia) so I have tried quite many drugstore products but only a few over the counter products.

I have to say if the eye cream is too rich, I will get those oil seeds at my eyes.. those little dots if you know what I mean. So not even Hylexin works for me. (Currently using it)

I have tried brands like Lo'real, Clinique, Garnier, Bobbi Brown, TheBodyShop, Nivea. Furthermore, I always use these products for quite some time before ditching them.

The best by far for eyebags I recall, is this brand called Bio-Essence, their Bio-Energy Eye Bag Vanishing Serum. Although I myself did not see any difference (it's always like that right?) but all of my friends did! and said that my eyebags were incredibly reduced! This is of coz after perhaps more than 3 weeks of using it regularly. What I love about it, is that it is gel based. So it is easy for me to massage it to my eye. After that period, insomnia hit me from bad to worse, so I tried something else when I ran out.

For dark circles? nah, I have not found a better cure than regularly sleeping before 11pm for 6-8 hours. Ah yes, the days where my eyes didn't look like I hadn't had sleep for 10 over years...

Definitely would buy the Bio-Essence again.
