Musings of the Day: Choose It Wisely!
Oh my god how painful would it be if you could only select from one, single makeup brand? If you had to choose one single brand which would it be?
Jump ahead for the Muse's choice!
Asking me to choose a single brand is like taking the color right out of my life. It would be too difficult to settle on just one but what if I had to? What if I had absolutely no choice and had to select from only, one single brand? Which would I choose?
Of course, I was leaning towards MAC because it has the most variety plus has a pretty nice user friendly price tag! But....I actually changed my mind quickly and decided on.....
Drum roll please!
Bobbi Brown.
I choose Bobbi because she has plenty of collections that release almost as often as MAC but with alot less fanfare so I'm not left feeling like I absolutely have to have everything released. I also feel as I get older the colors released from Bobbi Brown Collections are way more friendly and easier to use for evening or day looks.
I was thinking if I choose MAC, as cheap as it is, I'd probably end up going for heaps more money as I always want everything from their releases. Plus on top of that as I got older, if I had to settle for the one brand for life, I think that Bobbi Brown would be best as MAC would be a bit too loud for me at say 80!
So, if I had to settle on a single brand, I'd go with Bobbi Brown!

If I had to choose just 1 brand right now, I'd choose Fyrinnae. I like their lip lustres as much as I like MAC's Lipglass. I think their foundation looks fabulous on me. Their eye shadows are to die for!

I would choose Yvest St Laurent.
Without hesitation...my ONE brand ever is Chanel. From colors to textures to up-to-the-minute, no one beats Chanel!
Bobbi Brown is a good choice! I was initially thinking Stila or NARS because I like their foundations, shadows & blushes. MAC isn't for me because I can't stand their foundations at all. And I'm already outgrowing their colour selections. In the end though Laura Mercier is my brand of choice. I like their foundations, their concealers, their powders, their lips & eye stuff. Really, what's not to like?
Aaah...I am not a one-brand person, and more than often I would hate something from a brand that have something that I like so this is definitely hard :x
Would it count if I choose Shiseido? XD Since it has Maquillage and Majolica Majorca underneath its giant wings XDDD
Okay, if I were to choose I would pick Coffret D'or. The base make-up is good, the eye makeup is heavenly, the blusher is meh but still okay, and the lipstick is more than satisfactory.
So yeah, Coffret D'or it is. :D
I'm with you, Musey. I'd be All Bobbi, All the Time!
I'd say MAC! I love their MSFs and eyeshadows too much. The lipgelées are my constant companions :)
Also, I only really buy from every 3 or 4 collections. And that, only after I've heard at least my favourite beauty blogs rave about that special product with lots of convincing swatches ;)

Mines would be MUFE. I just love the quality of their makeup.
I think I'd go with Clinique. I know the sound boring but foundations work with my skin and their and their blushes, eyeshadows, eyeliners, lippies, and mascaras are just amazing. Their bronzing brush is DA BOMB too. Love it.
I choose MAC !
they really have nice things.. ofcourse other brands are good to.. but i like the limited editions so much from MAC !

I was thinking of choosing Chanel but they don't release items as much as I'd like so I'd grow antsy in between collections hehe!

I'd go with nars too but I'd have to wait too long inbetween collections and I'd get antsy, same reason I didn't go for Chanel :-D
Good choice on Laura Mercier :-D She has an incredible line and it'll last from youth to old age without a problem as the colors are all user friendly :-D

No haven't tried it yet. I'm not too big a fan of TM's...I did try LM's TM and I liked it ALOT but not BB's.
Sorry couldn't be of more help.
1 brand?! Eek! Man there are so many I like for different reasons :/ I think even though UD are the best for shadow and MAC for blusher I'll have to go with Chanel even though there's nothing great about their mascara - I like everything else & I'd wear tinted moisturiser instead of foundation (I wear mineral foundation because my skin is sensitive)

This is a tough one because I use different 'base makeup products' and different 'point makeup products' (as how the japanese would say it), if you know what I mean!
However, if I had to choose it, I would choose NARS just because im really in love with all their products although I have to admit that their foundations and powders are really mediocre. But their eyeshadows are fab as well as their blushes! I also like the fact that they have multi use products such as the multiple which is great because I can use it on the eyes lips and cheeks. :) They also have a good selection of lipsticks and lipglosses which I absolutely adore.

Good choice! NARS is a great one :) I choose bobbi as I firgure she has a rather fine base line including fab concealer and the rest I can def work with ;) general catalog items aren't fab but the LE's are terrific!

Hi! I just found your blog researching Bobbi Brown. I am pretty much considering myself a Bobbi Brown snob and love it! I am getting to the age(33) where I too want a brand for life and MAC is too trendy where for me Bobbi is classic with trendy options if you so choose. I am currently(very slowly$$) changing all my makeup to Bobbi Brown.

I'm about your age too and it becomes more and more appealing daily to simply make bb my prime cosmetic of choice as it does indeed have great options that are both fun and classy plus plenty of options and collections come out alot :-D
