Yay or Nay: Bare Escentuals Glimmer

Count the Muse curious but she's busy a wondering. Are Bare Escentuals a Yay or a Nay with you?

Jump ahead to find out if the Muse is feeling Yay or Nay about 'em!

I imagine many would beg to differ with me and tell me how much cheaper online mineral etailers are and how much more variety I can get for less, etc...but honestly Bare Escentuals Glimmers are a big yay for me!

I have dozens and dozens of these little guys and I continue to buy more as they release shades. I can find them on E-bay for really good prices plus pigmentation is awesome and quality is fantastic. Yes, mineral etailers definately have competitive pricing and variety but I haven't met a mineral yet that's as good as a Bare Escentuals Glimmer.

Big Yay for me!

How about you?

Yay or Nay?

Tell the Muse!

I haven't tried them, and now I kind of want to see how they compare to Meow, Aromaleigh and Fyrinnae. I've got an order of Pure Luxe coming. Btw, You HAVE to try Fyrinnae. They're amazing. I'm so in love with them. They've got such multidimensional color. I did a brown look with them today and I feel gorgeous and soft in it.

I loooove Bare Escentuals Glimmers...I've gone through about three pots of azure and envy. But, I've been buying Medusa's Makeup eye dusts for the last few month instead because they're almost as good for a lot cheaper and I've had to make some cuts to the makeup budget.

Oh dear, Muse. I'm afraid we're going to have to agree to disagree on this one. For quality, color selection, price, customer service, blendability, I'm completely hooked on The She Space and Fyrinnae. BE has nothing compared to their color selections. And at $4-6 a jar, you just can't beat the price. Do we have to wait a bit longer to receive our goodies? Yes, we do. But, for me at least, it's so worth it. Both of these company's founders have personally contacted me, on several occasions, to see if I was pleased with my order (OK, maybe I'm just ordering too much!). But in my book, that counts for a lot. Not all etailers have their level of customer service. And gosh darn it, those free samples get me every time! I'm just not feeling the love from BE anymore, and at their prices...the love should be overflowing!

Nay. Anything loose gets a big NAY from me. I have tried a few from Bare Escentuals, and I like them, but I never grab them, because I'm such a spaz w/loose eyeshadows. But that somehow doesn't stop me from buying MAC pigment samples and other mineral eyeshadows from etailers. Have you tried Beauty from the Earth? Those are some super pigmented shadows that I like, and use from time to time when I want a super colorful/bright look.

I have to go with NAY. I've tried them and while I did like them, after awhile I got tired of dealing with the loose mineral powders and switched back to traditional shadow.

Big yay. BIIIIIIIIIIIG yay.

They blend so well, you use so little, you can build the color, foil them if you want.

In case you can't figure it out, I love them!

hi Laurel!

That's ok I still lurve you :) hehe!
I think mainly I avoid etailers simply b/c of the variety...presented with all that variety makes me want to order one of everything...lol! I can't control myself. Which is why BE is kinda safe for me since it's not 100's upon 100's of colors! I love love some mineral etailers but just avoid looking so I don't fall into the vortex of placing a million dollar mineral order ;)

But I must agree CS on etailer sites is tops no doubt!

hi jackieg02!

I gotta say I do agree that loose powder is a pain in the butt. It's a pet peeve to have it go all over the place just by dipping a brush in it..grrrr!

Overall all I'd say a defo YAY! My fave is Celestine, I think it's gorgeous. I love that sparkle they provide, however they are a bit pricey boohoo.

oh hell no dd!

You show me your FOTD's which is cool! Some people will pop on and link to their review of a product after I review it here...that's what I find very rude :)

I hate deleting comments but I find myself deleting comments like that b/c it's like a pimp to their review...if that makes any sense...

at one time I'd think nothing of it and find it completely innocent but I think many do this to get hits to their site :P

bothers me some, makes me feel used if that makes sense!

ps we know each other on a personal level so I know you're not out to do that...but some people that I've NEVER seen comment prior to this that slap a link up...that's what bugs me!

please don't think it was :-D

Just people who never comment but suddenly will with a link...drives me bats :(

and makes me a bit sad...they can't comment any other day but to pimp themselves they can comment!

I love seeing your FOTD's :)

Yay :)
I'm doing a green eyed monster of jealousy for V-Day look today (writing it up right now)

Yeah, it sucks that people would just post a link in your comments just to get traffic. Definitely what I would call rude.

hey dd :)

sounds fun! I love greens :)

:( I hate to be like that but I mean if you participate here daily and you speak me daily I'm cool with that but when you come on and randomly link up that def bugs me for some reason!
