Yay or Nay: Steam Cream

By now you've probably indulged in your own pot of Steam Cream or not....after reading the Muse's wonky rave and review about it she's making the big assumption that she's convinced you that life can't go on without a few pots of Steam Cream hanging around your washroom, your vanity, and at your desk.

Miss my review?

Blast you! I guess I forgive you, click here to read it!

Question is, if you did indulge, is Steam Cream a Yay or a Nay for you?

Jump ahead to see what I think!

Cute tins? Check! Fast absorbing? Check! Works on my face, body, hands, and everywhere else in between? Check, check, check!

What isn't to love about this multitasking demon of a cream that softens my skin and makes it all pretty again? Multitasking as both a facial and a body cream this amazing moisturizer sinks in on contact and is possibly thee fastest absorbing cream I've ever used in my life.

With good for you ingredients and a soothing, healing blend, Steam Cream has been a fast favorite this past Winter and a life saver for my dry skin.

So of course, it's most definately, a big yay!

How about you?

Steam Cream must have winged it's way to your side of the world by now.

Is Steam Cream a Yay or a Nay for you?

Do share!

I stopped myself.... althoug those tins have "collectible" invisibly stamped on them. I got a press release about these last year when I worked at a magazine but didn't manage to get my hands on any samples when I was living in London. I saw these in Liberty when I was back home recently and it instantly reminded me of you and your review.

A few years ago I would have happily splurged and started a collecting mania for those adorable tins but I'm getting a bit more restrained in my old age. I don't use moisturiser on my face and I use different scented lotions and creams for my body so sadly can't justify Steam Cream for me. I shall just live vicariously through your collection.

I love it!
It smells nice and is light enough for humid Singapore.
I just came back from a holiday is dry Japan and it works really well there too.
Even my hubby commented that the smell is nice and didn't mind using it in Japan.

Apply steamcream on hands and feet -> Go to bed -> Hide hands under blanket cos hubby is complaining about the scent.
Verdict: love the tins (dammit! 1 of them came dented. grrr), like the cream well enough, scent is too strong. Maybe I should air it out. LOL.

Bnever actually has a product called Sweet asa steam cream and their ingredients are pretty similar

https://www.bnevertoobusytobebeautiful.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=558&category_id=646&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1

I found the Bnever one a bit too heavy and it didn't sink in to my skin as quickly as I'd like it to, also my skin is very dry so I'm not sure what the problem was. Now I'm interested to try out this version!

hey bora

I hear ya I hear ya lol the bloody tins get me every time!

I feel the same way. I'm becoming more and more laid back about not gathering every single piece of cosmetic in the world for my own stash lol. I'm quite restrained and picky about what I buy lately!

LOL good call hun :-D

Hi Muse,
I want to try it, but I'm waiting for the Constellation tin to be sold on the UK site. It is only on the Asian site. Do you think it will eventually be available on both? Thanks!

I ordered 2 tins. The flowery smell is too much for me...gives me a headache. I think it broke my face out too. Maybe I'll use it for my feet where I cant smell it as much, hehe.

I sure hope so b/c it's damn pretty but from what I understand asian tins are exclusive to asia and the uk ones are exclusive to uk :(

Hey Musey!

I got three tins after your review and while I like steam cream as a body lotion I broke out pretty badly on the face. Back to my Vanishing Cream! It's great on legs and feet, though.

Hiya Muse
Bought a tin of this on a whim after reading your review. Couldn't resist the Kyoto girl design too. Received this in the mail a few days ago, and a good quarter of it had leaked out from the tin :( That aside, the lavender scent smelled good, but found the texture way too thick for my oily complexion. :( Anyway, will use this for my dry hands and legs. Love your blog, btw. Bought Benefit's Lemon Aid after reading your review, and I've never regretted! :)
Luv,
Cells
