Beauty Secrets: Rain Checkin' It!
So....your favorite drugstore brand is on sale or maybe your favorite mascara....maybe it's 50% Off or maybe they have a buy one get one discount! Likey!
But wait...something goes wrong....
Jump ahead for a secret on drugstore cosmetics!
If your favorite cosmetics are on sale at your local drugstore chances are they might run out of a color you really, really want. Or maybe you're inclined to stockpile like Armageddon when your favorite brand is being discounted.
The Muse suggests snagging a rain check when this happens. Rain checks normally have no expiration date or are good for a year. That means you can replenish your favorite mascara or foundation at your drugstore when you run out and at the sale price! Just ask the sales cashier for a rain check on so and so product when it's on sale and stick it somewhere safe. When you're ready for that new mascara whip our your handy rain check and get it on sale! Normally cash reps write out rain checks for 4 to 6 products so that means they'll allow you to use the same rain check for six times! The Muse does this when Milani is on sale for buy one get one! She'll stash away the rain check and use it again when she needs it and not have to wait until Milani is back on sale to do so.
If your favorite color is out of stock during a sale again you can ask for a rain check and get it next week when they restock the display!

This is the first time I've heard of a retail rain-check. We certainly don't have this system in either the UK or Korea. What a great idea! Not having to stockpile to take advantages of offers would be great. I currently have 7 new mascaras to crack open as I was seduced by "too good to miss" offers at the drugstore. If I'd had rain checks.... that money could have gone towards more eyeshadows instead.
Wow that's a really good tip. I didn't know you could do that. I'm going to try. It seems drugstores are always out when things are on sale around where I live.

ALWAYS lol! My friend Libs lives in London and I am running around buying bits for her when they are sale and they are almost always out of the shades she wants so I rain check it for the following week :D
