Majolica Majorca Holiday 2008 I Am Gorgeous

Majolica Majorca has updated it's website with it's new Holiday story, I Am Gorgeous. CLICK! The only site updated is the main Japanese portal as the official street date for the collection is the 21st and taking into consideration at the moment it's the 21st already in Japan, it's pretty logical the site has been updated accordingly! When other Asian countries will get the release is beyond this Muse but I'm sure it'll shortly be available within Singapore, Taiwan, Etc...and followed up a few months down the line in other locations (aside from the US where we get NONE of the good stuff SIGH! RANT!).

I'm very excited about this collection although that's not saying much as I'm always excited when Majolica Majorca updates it's site. The Holiday Collection does look interesting to say the least and I'll be partaking of everything released with it!

I think the star of the show are the new Majolumina Powder in Puffs. I'm normally not a fan of powders that are in the puff already but I am very curious about these and will be purchasing both as the price of 1,300 yen or so is truly a bargain!

Although I'm not the biggest fan of Majolica Majorca Gorgeous Wing Mascara I will be purchasing the new version released with the I Am Gorgeous Collection. The color is a orangy-bronze-gold brown which looks very nice!

And finally two new Majolook palettes! Yay! I'm looking forward to these! Again, not a big fan of the base cream shade but the trio of powder shades looks simply amazing so, I for one, am very happy about the return of Majolook and glad they didn't do more Trick On Palettes for this reason! Honestly, BR788 looks very similar to a palette I already have but I'm all for getting this anyway!

All in all it looks like a very promising selection of items. They extended the line a tiny bit compared with Holiday 2007 as this year we are getting two powders, two palettes, and a mascara where as last year it was one powder, two palettes, and a mascara. Of course, the Muse is on board and will review this all for you shortly!

The site is very, very lagged at the moment so I recommend checking back later tonight or tomorrow morning to see the updates! The Muse is looking forward to the Singaporean update so I can read the story in English! Once you "find" all the items you'll have a chance to download the special screen saver! Do grab it as it's rather cute!

How about you?

Want it?

Loving the new palettes?

Indulging in any Majolica Majorca Holiday 2008?

Tell the Muse!

these are here in msia! i saw the powder puffs and the mascara!

but haven't seen the eyeshadows yet. but checking swatches, it seems the e/s with reddish tint is better than the brown-green base, IMO. :)

but these are just boring. seriously. :(

I must say I have never visited the Majolook website and I really enjoyed watching the new chapter. I am really interested in this new collection but do not know much about Japanese cosmetics, but my interest has been much more intrigued here in the past few months. I've always been hesitant about ordering overseas as I had a bad experience a few years back. How do you satisfy your cravings for these unique beauties? Happy Friday!

morning plue!

Whoa that was fast! I thought for sure it would release way later in msia! So what's the pricing looking like? 1365 yen per a powder puff within Japan at the moment and I'm thinking Singapore will be cheaper..and Taiwan def 3% less or more...what about Msia?

I agree...plus the brown-green has been done before in another majolook palette :P

They are..LOL but I get excited anyway...I do kinda dig the brownish pink one though...looks unique :)

hi LostinBubbles!

hehe majorca majolica website you mean :) Majolook are the name of the palettes hehe!

I enjoy watching them too even though I can't read japanese :) but now that the singapore website is up it allows us to read it in English yay!

Aww I'm sorry about your bad experience ordering from over abroad :( That stinks!

I normally have friends in Japan mail these over for me but there are tons of different etailers online that sell them however prices are considerably higher sadly :P But still worth it when you have a craving hehe!

Do check out my Japanese Cosmetic Buying Guide it might be helpful!

I think I want the Majolumina Powder in Puffs, the Gorgeous (pink) one... I'm using Love Clover's right now and it's quite handy (small), but the puffs on these Majolumina ones seem so lovely to pat on the face... ohohoho...

The Chic palette I love. It's very subtle and elegant, but the colors are romantic ne? I think it would be great to pair it with a nude lip like the picture or even a pale peach, but also a bright pink, then also a dark plum... Yes I think I'll really get to love this!

I finally got my hands on some Majolica Majorca!!! I picked up two blushes (OR211 - my first ever orange blush! and RD255 - which I think is a dupe of NARS Orgasm). I've been using the RD255 and I really like it. It's highly pigmented (to my surprise) but subtle at the same time (no clown look there). I also like how finely milled the powder is and yet densely pressed to avoid fly-aways. The packaging is also lovely. For NTD260 (around USD9), it's definitely a bargain.

On the other hand, I wasn't particularly impressed with the eyeshadow palettes. Granted I only swatched the eyeshadows with my fingers on the back of my hand, I didn't find the colour pigmented enough or pretty enough. I didn't see any single eyeshadows there (which are packaged like the blush, with a pull-out 'drawer'), which I suspect might be better.

With this new hello kitty + mac collection...I probably ought to save up anyways...lol. There's a serious guilty pleasure if I ever saw one!

I will definitely check out your guide and thank you for making it available to the masses.

hi cherry!

Me too me too :) I had the lover clover but I ended up swapping it as it was too tiny :)

the puffs seem awful nice and maybe large I hope!?
I can't wait to try them!

LOL I heart how excited you are about the palette :) great ideas on the nude lip and love the idea of a plum lip too!

hey liz!!!!!!

YAYYYYYYYY! I have the orange blush myself and like it..it's a bit sheer but I still dig it! I agree no clown look..very soft and sheer..natural looking!

I think the palettes are give or take..you're either really obsessed with 'em or just hate 'em :P
the single shadows are high quality compared the palettes..very pigmented and gorgeous :) I have virtually all the colors released and each one is fab and the price is really great too! Def look for 'em as they are well worth your cash!
thanks for sharing your review with us!

OK Izzy, after reading your reply, I went and put on the orange blush (even though it was well past 6pm and I had decided earlier that today was going to be a makeup-free day!). I am happy to say that I really like it!! I've been averse to orange makeup (blush, eyeshadow, lip colour) because my past experience with this particular colour has been rather horrifying. But Majolica Majorca's orange blush is so subtle, it just blends into my skin and adds a healthy glow. I'm really happy I got it!

Izzy dear, it's retailing at RM44.90? i think it's about USD12? much cheaper than in Japan!

but i'm not really digging the puffs. small amount with a huge price tag >_<

if that's the price for the shadows or mascara, i don't mind. but i don't see the palettes!

and I saw Kate's Deep Trap Eyes! That's for the Fall 2008 right? It's here! I have a strong feeling that since MJ is in Msia and was brought in by Shiseido itself (i heard), Kanebo is feeling some threat, so we see new releases! I hope this continues!!!

Hey Muse!
I'm so excited about this collection! I can't decide on what to get! I know I want the silver Majolumina Powder and probably the Majolook in BR799...maybe I'll get the 788 too. =Þ I'm debating on the LE Lash Gorgeous Wing, as I'm not really a fan of the regular one. It doesn't give my lashes enough drama. But it IS an LE so I'm getting soft on it.

Can't wait to see your haul and read your review! Have a nice weekend! =]

hi liz!

Aww it sounds like it looks simply fab on you! Awesome!!!!!! :) I really like the orange, peaches, and corals..they give a really healthy glow to my skin...and as much as I adore pink I think I look best in peachy shades!

Sounds like it's a great shade for you!

Enjoy hun!

Hello there Muse!
I hope you can help me with this...the model shown here- is it the same girl who modeled in previous photos for spring and summer (she had short dark hair)? If so, do you know who she is?
Also, there is a model who has been doing many recent American Shisiedo makeup ads (she has short brown hair too).
A photo of her can be found here:

http://mymakeupreviews.blogspot.com/2008/08/review-shisedio-makeup-silky-eye-shadow.html

I think both girls are gorgeous and I can usually find out a model's name but it's been difficult to find these two!
Thanks.
