Yay or Nay: Kat Von D Goes Blonde
Kat Von D showed up at the Teen Choice Awards with a new blonde do. Honestly, I'm not sure which disturbs me more that she was at the Teen Choice Awards or that she's now blonde. Her hair looks somewhat like a wig though and not a color job? I prefer Kat as a brunette myself but I will say, stringy, straw-looking hair aside, the blonde locks look good but we my need a little conditioner because at the moment it has a too long in the fryer look about it!
Proper Teen Choice attire?
What do you think?
Kat Von D as a blonde?
Yay or Nay?
Tell it!

Hated it!! *two snaps* lol
Thats a big, ginormous NAY for me.
I don't feel like it goes with her look at all.
I'm all for tattoos, but I kinda feel like she's gone way overboard with it somehow? Its too much - for my tastes at least.
Other than that, I really like her - although I'm disappointed I can't try any of her makeup goodies *mumblestupidsephoranotintheUKmumble*
lol tammy!
aww beth that stinks about Sephora UK boo!
I think it's ok..I mean it's not insanely bad but it's just not her. Plus the hair looks like a wig? very stringy and weird? She plays it best as a brunette...too Britney for me :-D
nay for me.
it doesn't seem to suit her skintone too well.
mmm true rabbit but I was thinking her lipstick made up for it :D
Its a nay for me, although I think its been crimped which is why it looks so stringy!
I love her brunette the blonde seems to make her look more pale!
NAY! and nay to kim kardasian too.
Honestly? I don't think she's too attractive either way, and I think she's a crappy artist who overcharges for her work. Overhyped!
*Tattoo artistry rant!*
I live very close to LA, and of course when non-California friends come to visit they all want to go to LA Ink for a 'too. We all have tattoos, piercings- some of us more than others, but pretty much everybody has at least one tattoo! I am very peeved that the shop is essentially a Kat shrine. Several of the other artists are far more expressive/talented/humble & are better with their prices. The only reason I think Kat got big was because she's edgy and obviously good at self-marketing. There are more deserving women artists; they just don't get famous because they're old, or ugly, or just not based with Corey Miller. A lady who did a tattoo of mine in Santa Barbara is simply amazing, only she's like 55 and dresses like a teenage tomboy. Hehe.
Anybody familiar with Elayne Angel? I like her tattoos (like the ones on her body specifically LOL) way better than Kat Von D's. Go Google!
This is all just my perception though.

Alllll of that aside... I do like Kat's makeup line at Sephora. Makes me feel slightly hypocritical. Haven't had the chance to buy any, but the colors seem to be great. =) And I agree that her lipstick she's wearing is NIIICE!
I'm going to be a voice of dissent here and say that I actually...kind of dig it! I mean, pretty much all celebs go from black/brown to blond and back again, so why not Kat? I can see where she would be ready for a change. Still...I think she should go dark(er) again soon. :)
Oh, and I was going to say in my previous post--perhaps she should go for a new CUT as opposed to new COLOR. Like, she would probably look really cool with shoulder-length or bobbed hair.
It makes her look so fake and plastic-y. I really just want to ask her "why" though... Really. Just WHY?
Love her...hate the hair....I don't think the blonde suits her at all. I don't like what she wore to the awards, but it's so her.
