Musings of a Muse: All About Nails!
You probably noticed the Muse doesn't do many nail posts around here which brings me to today's Musings of the Day!
Are you a nail girl? Do you love painting your nails? Going to the salon to have 'em done?
Tell me about it and jump ahead for my reply!
Nope, the Muse isn't a nail girl. She has a nasty habit of biting her nails plus she rarely paints 'em! Gasp! Horror! I do try to make time for a mani but for the most part my nails are polish-free. I'm so jealous of people who have pretty nails and paint 'em all pretty. Sad sigh!
It's probably the one area of my life that I don't pay alot of attention too. I'm all about cosmetics but I'm def not a nail girl!

I spent a lot of money on skincare.. for my face. For my body, to hell with it. I'm ashy as fuck.
But alas, I'm into nail polish now so the feet and hand have to be moisturized a little bit. I prefer painting them myself because going to the salon is a very dreadful experience with all the waiting around for things to dry. Tedious.
A great summer nail polish coming out (you prob already know this) in June or July is Lippman's Marquee Moon. It's silver with.. SEQUINS in it. IF anything, Nars (and other cosmetic brands like Givenchy) has some wonderful nail polish (found in their vintage area of website).
I paint my nails and have recently began obsessing with buying more polish. I find that if they are painted, there is a less chance I will bite them and have them breaking, I guess because they are thin without any coating. I have many shades of pink polish and enjoy matching my outfits with them. :)
I am such a nail polish junkie. I love painting my nails, I usually go to the salon every other week.
My nail polish collection is close to a hundred bottles now. Eeep.

My tips and toes are almost always painted.
Right now Color Club's Ultra Violet is on my toes.
Def. not a nail girl - I have horrid chips and nails in various lengths. I don't bite them ,but just can't seem to keep them looking great. I don't waste money on manis any more because two seconds after the girl is finished painting 'em the clumsy dolt that I am, the nails will be ruined because I had to scratch my nose or something. I am quite diligent about my pedies though which perpetually have OPI's Rosey Future as a top coat for a french.
im not a nial person i keep them short and painted .
only my toes. winter/summer doesn't matter, they're always painted. and i don't use anything else but OPI

Let me tell you about me and my nails. I love the idea of beautifully manicured nails, I really wants them, and I thought at the age of 34 it was about time I fixed them up. So off I went, bought all the gear, did my cuticles and buffed them there nails, base coated, coloured and top coated them. Within 30 seconds at work it was chipped! I demonstrate carseats and prams, a very physical job, so I learned quickly the two don't mix. We are also not allowed to wear chipped nail polish. So all my manicure stuff still sits in the pit of old make-up under the bathroom sink. Sigh.
One day. :p
Ooh yes :) I love doing long, detailed pedis at home (don't believe in salons :P) and painting the toesies all sorts of wild colors.
But the hands, I leave 'em alone. Clean short nails for me :) No color, no shaping, no long nails...
i'm def a nail girl. i love buying nail polishes and doing my own mani. but pedi? forget it, i get them done at a salon! it's just so hard to bend and reach for the toes =P i try to do my mani every week and pedi every two weeks :)

I do the same. tons of cash on skincare and cosmetics but I haven't really breached the nail polish section :-D and yes I hear ya...waiting to have your nails done is tedious at best ugh!
I heard about this shade and it sounds fab now I wish I can muster the excitement to actually buy one and have my nails done with it :-D

LOL I tried once or twice to get on board with it myself but I'm in the same position I chip it or I bite it off etc...just not worth my time anymore :-D

I bite terribly eep! I normally have a pedi once a week but the fingernails are just a scary mess :P I keep them very short but my cuticles are so sensitive I tend to avoid smoothing them back eep! Even when I have a mani I tend to keep them from pushing them back as it's terribly painful :P

I have a pedi once a week at least but I normally have a mani once a month at most :P ugh wish I could get on board with keeping them pretty :D
well, I wasnt into nail at all before, then I started a business on nail lolz..of course my nails have to be pretty or I will scare my customers away :D so now I keep my nails healthy by regular manicure and hand cream.I still dont really like putting anything on my nails, but healthy nails show!
you can say i am a big nail fan girl!! but lately because of work, i'm not giving them enough attention...

aw sometimes work can be ragged on the nails :-D
I should know. anytime I paint mine they chip right away when I'm at work typing away on keyboard etc...!
I love painting my nails and having them pretty, but they always chip in a day no matter what I use as base/top coat. :(

I have only recently gotten into painting my nails more. I always have my toes polished, no matter what, but the nails, not so much. I wash my hands so much at work its ridiculous. So my polish chips a lot, so I do have to keep up with them.

I too had a habit of biting my nails. However, my nails usually grow very long and grow strong.
Ever since I began my addiction to Japanese fashion magazines (about 2 yrs. ago), I started getting into the whole nail thing. I polish my nails and even put decals on them during the holidays, etc.
I must tell you that decorating your real nails is not always the best thing...too much of that can damage them. Then again, people tell me that putting on and removing fake nails often causes loads of damage too.
