Pieces of Life: The Busy Day Edition

Hi Guys!

How is everyone today? I hope you all had a super fabulous weekend! We deserve it right?

The Muse is quite swamped today and she's doing her best to get through a slew of comments left over the weekend! I'm really enjoying reading everything you wrote in between getting work done here at my office! It's one hell of a busy Monday for this Muse!

I have a slew of reviews lined up but I need a few things to be edited and a few pics need to be taken, etc.....so things are moving a tiny bit slow today! Excuse the wait.

I've been working on a few new features at Musings which I hope you're enjoying! If your comments are anything to go by I guess you're liking the new posts I've come up with like Stash Spotlight, Musings of the Day, Etc.....or at least I hope you like them! I've also been scheduling posts for the weekends so when I'm not around you all have something to enjoy. Hope you're loving that too.

Anyway! Back to work with the Muse! Must crack the whip and get my butt in gear to clean up my desk today! Reviews coming your way soon so check back later in the day!

For now tell me about your weekend? How was your BBR hauling?

Tell the Muse!

Hi Muse!

No BBR here yet, but guess what, I've managed to get the new Guerlain palette (yay!) and a lipgloss, the new Estee Lauder shimmer powder and a lipgloss from the new Lancome collection. :) Last two were free with my Boots advantage points. Double yay! :)
Looking forward to reading the new posts, esp reviews. :)

Love the idea of the automated posts, you clever Muse you. :)

I have a four day weekend every four weeks, and tis a dangerous thing, I tell you. I get the chance to sit around all day, looking at the net going "Hmmm, I don't have that... ". Anyway, I am at least trying to be sensible by looking for bargains on eBay. This weekend I bought UD Matte shadow in Illegal, a vintage UD liquid eyeliner in Chains, and a Too Faced Shimmer Veil in Nymph-oh. Just this second won three UD Ultraglide lipglosses - Video, Gash and Quiver. I've already had Video, but I tell you these Ultraglides make me soooooooo mad - beautiful colours, but way too thin. :(

Anyway, that's me done for now. Have to save for my friends trip to New York - with the list I'm giving her, Sephora are going to have nothing left on their UD stand! :o

i will add my voice to the others that agree: the new themes and topic posts are great!

oh my, what do i even say? the Angel scent was deep in one sense: it smelled like leftover hippie. way too much patchouli (i'm not a fan of that either!)....and i couldn't really discern the other notes. the smell got all over my coat too. :S i fully believe the cream is awesome, i just disliked the perfume. it's not that kind of deep i'm after! heehee

a lot of the scents i'd written down from magazines to check out were wash-outs, so i started just smelling any old thing, hence the Swiss Army. i agree that Daisy is missing something- it smells kind of shallow (in a nice way).

deep, shallow....now they sound like swimming pools. oy. maybe my mind is as confused as my nose was!

So, I'm glad I didn't haul as much from MAC's BBR since it seems like there's stuff I want from Hello Kitty and possibly that new SugarSweet you mentioned. However, I just decided to order from another mineral makeup company, FaceFront, as they've got free shipping (code freeshipping). A friend of mine just told me about them and they have some amazing looking colors. I ordered Ice Melt and Little Gremlin. I'm betting you'd love Ice Melt as it is a sheer peach to violet color. Little Gremlin is a fusion of coral, fuchsia and violet. I'll definitely be letting you know what I think of them. As per most mineral makeup companies I see, their eye shadows are $10 a piece, and unfortunately they don't have samples to purchase. (see, Aromaleigh is cheaper on the price as the most expensive of their eye shadows is $8!) But they seem neat!

You're doing fabulous!! I didn't even know you were working slow today! Hope you're taking off this upcoming holiday weekend. I know I am, plus taking off that Tuesday as well:) No BBR for me, or just not yet.

Love all the new topics of conversation. These are fun to read and see everyone's comments:)

I'd love it if you had a weekly 'reader review' section, I buy SO many products and i'm just itching to share some of my finds but don't have the follow-through to make my own blog...

LOLLLLLLLL yes the patchouli hits you fast but after dry down it's much better...I hate patchouli with a passion so if I like it that's saying something lol!

LOL!!!!!!!!! you're adorable Laura!

Speaking of AL, I wore AL's Black cherry liner today, with MAC's flip and AL's Raisin in the crease, and Too Faced's Totally Toasted Park Avenue Beige on the browbone.
:>
I'm soo looking forward to trying FaceFront, but I really hate that the majority of their site lacks descriptions for their colors, and that they don't sell samples.
