Spring Collection 2009: Too Faced Lock Down Cream Eye Shadow

The Muse thinks that the order of business this Spring appears to be cream shadows. They sure are popping up everywhere aren't they?

Urban Decay has an extensive list of cream shadows to choose from with their Spring Collection and Lancome is also releasing a new cream shadow but today what has the Muse's interest is Too Faced Lock Down Creaseless Cream Eye Shadow.

The Muse believes that her lovely friend, Pursebuzz, was the brains behind the concept of Too Faced Low Down Creaseless Cream Eye Shadow. A few months ago Pursebuzz was in her laboratory and came up with the idea to combine Too Faced Shadow Insurance with a bit of pigment to create a colored shadow base....

And whatta ya know..we now have Too Faced Low Down Creaseless Cream Eye Shadow which indeed has a base of Too Faced Eye Insurance Primer! This indeed looks promising however it's only available in four shades so far which disappointed the Muse who really likes variety but hey it's a start!

What do you think?

Which are you lemming more...Too Faced Lock Down or Urban Decay Cream Shadows?

Tell the Muse!

I dunno, I <3 Too Faced so I'll probably want to try the lock down, and I still need to get around to trying Shadow Insurance. I will definitely be trying the Urban Decay cream eye shadows, too.

What colors will they be available in?

Lol! I saw on Nordie's but they don't have a written shade description and I admit it, I crave the words!

I am SOOOOOO looking forward to your UD review.

*hug*

You're so good to us!

Hi Miss Muse,

Long time no talk. I hope you are well!

Question for you - Urban Decay primer. Do you ever have trouble with it sort of exploding and getting primer everywhere when you either take out or replace the wand in the tube? No matter how slowly or carefully I try, it still explodes. I have been having trouble with that...also, Ulta is running a special promo for 2 UD primers for $26. I recently got a tube in a swap and have liked it so far aside from said messy exploding issue.

I agree that cream shadows are popping up everywhere! Some are better than others, of course.

What's on your spring lemming list? Mine is mostly full of Japanese cossies though I have a major lemming for some of the Givenchy despite its more summery look.

It's getting into the heart of winter here so I am quite happy for my lambie blankie.

I finally have broken down and indulged somewhat in the Paul & Joe Disney collection. The Flower powder is on its way and I am considering the Bambi. Your thoughts on Bambi?

I hope you are well and recovering from the post holiday blues. I was not a happy camper to go back to work last week.

Many hugs and much love!

Hiya doll! I am excited to see this. I use the Too Faced Shadow Insurance, and love cream shadows. I have been partial to Clinique's Cream Shadow (with the doe foot applicator) in Lucky Penny and the Bondage color looks pretty close to that, except Lucky Penny might have more of a 'shimmer' and Bondage looks a bit more matte. Any incite if this is the case?

hey bets!

Long long time :) *hugs*

Yes occasionally I have the problem although it's only when I purchase a new one in the winter and it's shipped over and than defrosts..if that makes sense?

Did you just buy one off sephora.com and have it sent to your house? Could be the problem with the cold. Trying leaving it unscrewed in a warm place with the top on for 24 hours...let it settle so to speak and see if it stops exploding after that :)

But of course some are def better than others :) particularly Japanese ones hehe!

Japanese absolutely plus Givenchy, NARS, Urban Decay :) hehe! Even though many spring lines are really summery I'm still feeling the love!

yayayayaya lambie! Did you get the slippers too by any chance?

Hm was bambi peach or pink? I can't recall at the moment...both were fab as I remember it :)

Although they remain in my beauty vault lol!
ugh I'm trying..I think I'm getting there..damn hard to get back into the grove after the holidays :P How's work?
Hope all is well your side!

Love ya lots!
