MAC SugarSweet Collection

The mighty gods (or should I say girls?) of Specktra are dishing on the new MAC SugarSweet Collection and boy does it have the Muse hyper!

With names like Cakeshop and Butternutty can you blame me?

Not much is known about the collection so far but they do have images up of three new MAC Shadesticks being released entitled Butternutty, Red Velvet, and Cakeshop. The Muse wants 'em for the name alone! Loves it.

Looking at the swatches this actually makes me want to hold off on purchasing Shu's new Spring Collection, Mirage as this collection looks like it's going to be loaded with beautiful shades of pastels with hints of shimmer.

Gorgeous!

What do you think?

Tell the Muse!

I am so beyond excited for this collection. It appeals to my inner candy whore/5 year old, plus my love for shadesticks.

Red Velvet reminds me of the only shadestick I have left, Crimsonaire. I always found them difficult to work with, as I felt like I was gouging my eye out to get the color onto my skin. I also had Lucky Jade (a jade green), and Royal (a purple).

I'm wondering if this is a new formula so that it applies easier.

I love the name of the collection (quite droolworthy if you ask me haha), but I'm not a fan of MAC shadesticks. Though I can't wait to see what else this color story has.

hi anonymous!

agreed hehe :) I am not either but after using them with pigment I actually did sort of fall in love with them :)

I really look forward to hearing further details on it myself :)

I want Cake Shop and Butternutty! My one of my HG products is actually MACs Shadestick in Shimmersand so I'm interested in this! I want the new UDPP in Sin, too. In fact, I just need some UDPP in general...I like wearing Shimmersand on its own but my lids are too greasy for it! My last bit of UDPP dried up before I got to it *tear*

hey sarah!

I got the new sin udpp! very good :) review soon :)

awwww sorry :( I noticed udpp dries up when I slice it open :P

also shimmersand is a fabs ss! I love it :)

have you tried using the ss with piggie on top for your oily lids?

I've never had a shadestick before. Red Velvet really catches my eye, but I've heard horror stories of eyelid tugging with this product.
Red Velvet is so pretty though!

OoOoOoO awesome! Christine seemed to like it - its a rad multitasker! Base, shadow, highlight...oh wait, that's why I bought Shimmersand. LOL!

And I've tried that, but it still creases! I have the oily lids from hell. UDPP is the ONLY thing that keeps them dry! I actually have to powder my lids every few hours [its THAT bad]. :(

OMGCAKE!!!!11one

You had me sold at the Stila cans but whoa, brakes, MAC cake sticks?

My wallet needs some restraint. But...cake...
Will they bring this to Japan? Do you think? I really really hope they do. I am all about those colors. But I don't know if all the MAC collections make it here. I know Cult of Cherry was here. But I don't know, for example, if something like the Brunette, Blonde and Redhead set would come here. Then again, Lush sells The Blonde and Monroe shampoo and treatments, even though the bleach-colored ganguro style is way, way gone, and they don't have much blonde to work with anymore. Except, uh, me. (Thank you Lush....)

But honestly I do hope this comes here. I've been carefully steering myself toward Japanese brands only, trying to take advantage of my time here with Coffret d'Or and Kate and MJ etc. and avoiding MAC because, well, it's an import and expensive. But those rules will fall to pieces if SugarSweet comes here.

hi paula!

Yes a bit of tugging is involved sadly :( And I'm loving red velvet myself so yum!

I guess if you're careful you can apply with minimal tugging :)
