Korres Yoghurt Mask...god doesn't that sound bloody brilliant? "Yoghurt..." I feel like I'm in England! Damn Americans we ruin the language..we forgot the "h" somewhere when the word traveled across the pond.
Anyway.
Korres Yoghurt Mask is a soothing, cooling, mask meant to hydrate oily skin that feels dehydrated. Whoa...that was way technical for the Muse...how does oily skin feel dehydrated? I'm so confused.
But have no fear.....I tried it the past week or so and it's working on my DRY not so oily, dehydrated skin. I've never found a moisture mask that I really liked or one that worked for that matter. In the case of Korres Yoghurt Mask it does technically deliver a good dose of much needed moisture to my skin but it also successfully makes my already dry skin feel a bit tighter after I wash it off.
The formula is a creamy moisturizing blend that has little to no scent and contains good for you ingredients like yoghurt, watercress extract, vitamin E, and olive oil. Simply apply a layer of the mask onto skin and wait for 10-15 minutes prior to rinsing off.
It feels rather wonderful on my skin and I was particularly delighted that it absorbed fully as I waited for 15 minutes. After washing off I was equally thrilled at how moist my face was feeling but sadly after I dried off my skin began to feel a bit on the tight side which triggered my need to slather myself in good night cream to avoid the oncoming dryness I knew was about to crop up.
I don't blame the product because in this case I believe that it's my own silly skin causing the problems as I'm already quite dry with the cold weather and this is meant for oily skin. I'm looking forward to giving this another test out and a new review in the Summer when my skin is alot less dry and a whole lot oily!
It deserves to be mentioned that the formula is amazingly skin friendly and contains 83.2% Natural ingredients while excluding all of the following preservatives and chemicals:
Mineral Oil
Silicons
Parabens
Alcohol
Animal by Products (not tested on animals either)
Synthetic dye
Sulfates

I'm pretty impressed with how far Korres has taken the "natural" product rage and I'm equally impressed with how well everything has worked for me in the collection. I'll definately be exploring the line more deeply and bringing you more reviews soon.

Hey Muse! This is a staple in my facial routine. I have been using it for 2 years. I have oily skin, and it does what it truly says - rehydrates my oily skin, amazingly. And the first time I used it, I thought, OMG - my skin is going to be oily in 2 hours, but it wasn't. It's just nicely balanced and hydrated.
The only drawback to this mask is that it has an expiration date, and it really does expire. But if you use it regularly, you won't have any worries!!
Loving all your Korres reviews!! I've been addicted to the brand since December 2007 and am so glad it's doing so well.
Just FYI that Ulta sells the line too :)
hey shefali!
Interesting! I really need to try it again when the Summer sun is making my skin feel like it's melting :P At the moment it made me a bit dry and tight :(
I noticed that the body cream also had an expiration...kinda lush like ;)
It's really a fab brand , particularly the skincare!
oh awesome! Ulta always has a little sale here and there too so that always helps ;)
Thanks babe!

I love Korres products and have just started using the Yoghurt Moisturiser, I have that odd skin combo of dry and sensitive but also oily - no one understands what that means apart from Korres!
Their Fig Shower gel smells divine and I just want to run wild in the aisles and buy tons of stuff!
hi anonymous!
It's really great stuff isn't it?! :) glad to hear the mask is working for!
LOL i hear that :) I want the entire line myself at the moment!
Hi! I just got some of this and am looking forward to using it. My only concern is that mine doesn't have the 'not tested on animals' stuff on it and I wanted to check that out. I can't find anything anywhere else either. Even on their website. Any comment?
hi chalda I believe on the site it says not tested on animals as I recall :-D
I was looking just now but can't see where I read it...maybe was on the box...I can't verify completely though...try emailing them? :)
I did that. FYI, here was their response:
"We thank you for your interest in our products.
You are probably aware of the new Cosmetics Directive that has set new standards with regard to the animal testing.
Until the time this directive came into force, producers of ingredients /raw materials for the cosmetics industry, used to test every new raw material on animals.
Due to this, very few raw materials weren’t tested on animals sometime in their past. These days this is not happening any more.
Therefore we can guarantee that, Korres natural products are not tested on animals. Moreover Korres natural products do not request or has in the past ever requested, animal testing on any ingredient or combination of ingredients. All tests, dermatological and other clinical tested are performed in vitro (in the lab) by the use of synthetic keratinocytes, or in vivo: on human volunteers under the surveillance of a dermatologist or any applicable physician (ophthalmologist etc).
We can also guarantee that none of the raw materials that we use in our products was tested in the last 5 years on animals.
We wish to be sincere and totally clear with this. We cannot guarantee that some raw materials that we use possibly were tested by their producers, sometime in the past."
I think that's a great answer and probably the best that any company could ever say. Thanks for your blog!
hi chalda!
wonderful news! thanks for sharing :-D
thank you so much!
