Stila Illuminating Treatment Powder

More Stila from Japan!

Apparently these Stila Illuminating Treatment Powders are big in Japan or at least that's what Stila says. Stila has been introducing different cosmetic bits that were once available in Japan only over the course of the last few months. Adding to that they have introduced this mineral based powder for a lighter coverage. It also supposedly contains a cooling agent which sounds interesting! I really find water-based, cooling foundations interesting!

This is available now from Stila for $45 USD!

This is Prescriptives
Magic Powder relabelled :P When I first saw it online, I did a double-take, more so as EL released this shortly after Px pulled out from SG. A local Stila MA confirmed it too.

mag what's up my dear

How long ago did PX pull out of SG? I was shocked to hear that as I thought that PX was still available your side. I had read it randomly on Iris's blob and I was doing a double take. Not that the line is that fab but I was somewhat curious why they'd pull out of a major market!

WEIRD!

Is this available in SG from Stila?

I think Px pulled out two years ago or so. I really thought it would do well here too, so the news came as a surprise. EL does its own thing though, so...

I actually liked the Magic Powder a lot and was sad to see it go.

I'm not sure if the Illuminating Powder is still available. I'll check next time I walk past Stila! Note I said 'walk past', haha! I don't buy any more Stila as I seldom use the items I have from them. Not that I don't like them though.

The powder in your photo looks bronzy. The one that I was referring to is almost clear, like Magic Powder. I *just* deleted it from my photobucket images, otherwise I could show you a pic. There's one going on eBay though here: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-STILA-Illuminating-Treatment-Loose-Powder-Brush_W0QQitemZ290137010451QQcmdZViewItem

hey mags!

To be honest you aren't missing much anyway. The line is good but not great imo.

I love Stila but I'm a walker too. I rarely use Stila. Too much fall out from shadows and I never used the blushes. Mascara isn't fab. I do use convertible color like no one's business though.

Mostly the packaging sells me and they did away with good packaging a long time ago here.

ah thanks for that pic b/c I agree the powder was looking very bronze and beigy! I'm very curious about this but another reader had rec'ed me a cooling powder from awake which I want to try and I think it'll be way better!

Stila has hits and misses lately. More hits then misses imo!

Hugs!

I second the Awake's version; it is much better than Px's. Px's one did nothing for me other than the initial cooling effect, but Awake Stardom Aqua Trans Powder (in Venus Sea - no shimmer and somewhat colorless) actually works very well as finishing loose powder (i.e. give polished look, even out skin color a bit, and most importantly reduces the appearance of pores).
