Yay or Nay: MAC Eye Shadows
This is always an interesting topic to Muse about. MAC Eye Shadow that is. Are MAC Eye Shadows a Yay or a Nay for you?
Click ahead to find out if I'm yayin' or nayin'!
I always find it interesting when people tell me they can do without MAC shadow. I happen to fall into the Yay crowd when speaking of MAC and eye shadow. I like the price, I like the variety, and I like the color payoff. Not alot to hate here. Call me a MAC groupie but if anything MAC does shadow right. I know occasionally it can get a tad repetitious after collecting a while and all the colors begin to run into each other after a while but I can honestly say I'm always delighted when I find an interesting, unique shade and I do think many shades are unique and different.
Yay it is for me!
What about you?

I just bought my 1st two mac shadows after some long debating with myself. I bought tempting and woodwinked and that's only b/c I was overwhelmed and flustered at the makeup forever section of sephora. LOL I have several mufe shadows and they are the BEST. Mac never appealed to me outside of the lipstick and lipglass. I was going to wear the shadow today, but passed. Who knows how long they'll sit there. They are so uninspiring. :(
I'll try again tomorrow.
It's a yay all the way for me. You hit it right on the head, price for quality can't be beat. Plus it's super cheap if you get the refill pans. And there is a texture and color for everyone :)
it really depends on the finish....yay and nay..both for MAC :D
They're a YAY for me, but they don't get nearly as much love now that I found mineral makeup.
They're very well pigmented, they're easy to blend, you can make your own custom palettes with them... but they're hard to take off lol.
I normally do use MAC eyeshadow's but I do hate how the colors do run into each other as well. I prefer to use MAC pigments over their shadow's.
I say yay, b/c they have many lovely colors and are better overall than many similar or higher priced shadows. However, I can definitely live w/out them b/c I've found many cheaper dupes and alternatives^_^
I'm def a yay too.
I buy the palette form ones so they're only $11 dollars, there's tons of colors to choose from, blend very easily and they have great color payoff. Like you said, whats not to like?
My other favorite is Stila, but at $18 each, you can imagine which I have more of =)
big time yay lately. just got my sumo order, and i hauled tempting, forgery, and pink split mineral duo. adding it to my one sugarshot, and i'm happy as a clam right now :)
I have a ton of MAC e/s and for me it's a hit or a miss depending on the finish - matte's are always problematic for me, but their shimmers are nice and easy to blend. The color payoff is typically pretty good as well. And who can argue with the color selection!
For me, they were oftentimes a big YAY, especially when I used to do smoky eyes all the time. But- and here I don't know if I'm evolving or devolving in my sense of makeup- now I just can't be bothered. I have no money for them, but I'm also getting disenchanted with eyeshadow in general. Unless I'm going out, whenever I wear it I feel overdone. :(
I'll definitely go with a YAY, but i can once in a while do without. *lol* MAC has a slew of picks when it comes tp color, as do other lines like UD... all in all they come up with multiple colors that in my humblest opinion look way too similar for me to shell out more moola on them. It also could just be my taste in colors. So they seem the same when you move to golds, and certain tones. Either way, you can't go wrong with MAC if you tried 9sometimes) I am loving their mineralize collection. Sea & Sky is the bomb blue!
