Dior Night Diamond All Over Diamond Dust Powder Review, Swatches, and Photos

I have plenty of favorites this Holiday season and of course topping my list is the new Dior Night Diamond All Over Diamond Dust Powder.

Love.

Come on now who can resist beautiful shimmering powder in a gorgeous compact? You're lying if you say you haven't been lusting after Dior Night Diamond!

I happily added Dior Night Diamond to my collection a few weeks ago and I've waited a while to blog it because it seemed a bit too early to do a review on it however I really couldn't wait much longer without finally give you the deets on this gorgeous powder.

If you're expecting heavy duty shimmer you'll be in for a surprise as the effects of this powder are very, very subtle and delicate. The color is a flattering, universal shade of beige with gold and beige shimmer to highlight cheeks, face, and body if you so please. The powder is silky smooth and gives a delightful touch of shimmer and highlight to my cheeks and face when I use it. It actually feels like a glorified face powder to me as it's a perfect match for my skin tone and it has a rather nice whitening, brightening effect.

It comes housed in a heavy, faux diamond encrusted palette. It's quite a different style of palette for Dior as they normally house powders (even special LE ones) in their standard blue compact. This is a heavy, collectible piece of cosmetic as can be attested from the weight of the palette itself.

The palette also includes a simple flat brush which sports soft bristles and it's own velvet storage case. The brush is perfect for application as it picks up just the right amount of product and applies it beautifully to your face. I personally prefer using the brush that this came with as larger powder brushes can make a brutal mess of this lovely powder!

I know some of you may wince at it's $80 USD (imagine if you lived in Europe or Asia where the price is nearly doubled!) price tag but for me it's unquestionably a great deal and a beautiful piece to add to my Dior collection. Which brings me the topic of shades......The US is getting one shade which is 001 Beige Diamond however if you live in Europe or Asia chances are you'll have access to Beige Diamond and Pink Diamond. So far I've seen Pink Diamond pop up in Singapore, Japan, and England. I've seen photos and swatches of Pink Diamond and I'm considering getting it as well considering how lovely it is! Sad sigh that the US only ever gets one color option!

If you're a big fan of Dior you're going to want this piece for your very own. The Muse highly suggests checking it out as once you see it, touch it, and swatch it, the question of whether you need it or not will be automatically answered to a full on YES!

Dior Night Diamond Powder is fully Muse Approved for purchase! I highly recommend nabbing one before it's completely sold out and gone. I know many of you are waiting, wishing, and wanting to wait for Sephora Friends and Family to nab many posh purchases like this one but I honestly don't recommend waiting. Chances are this will be gone before you have a chance to nab it so get ordering before it's gone for good!

I'm off the open up my beauty vault so I can stash away my Dior Night Diamond and bring it out to play on special, special occasions! No peeking at the combination while I open it! Close your eyes now!

HI-
I love your blog!
You mean this powder is sold for 160USD in Asia? Thats kinda nuts.

Btw, this is irrelevant to this blog, but i dont know if you check older entries; do you think the Paul and Joe disney powders are worth it? Quality wise? Is there enough product to actually be worth $36, and are they good and practical/useful? Please let me know cuz i am planning on preordering :)

I´ve been thinking about that, but your review convinced me of course!!! We got both colors, at an outrageous price, but I don´t think I can resist the temptation!
Oh Muse, are you tax deductable? ;)

That powder looks gorgeous! I want to get my hands on one now, haha. Night Diamond, how can a girl resist with a a name like that? The powder itself reminds me of the Raycious powder *cries*.

Thanks for the review! =]

hi kingrev!

Thanks so much :) Appreciate the kind comment!

Naa....not that bad :) It's shockingly not bad at around 8,900 yen in Japan.

But cosmetics, especially high end, are pretty expensive in Europe/Asia/etc...ak!

I liked the Paul and Joe Powders..they are pretty collectible pieces if you're a cosmetic collector so in that sense yes they are worth it.

There isn't alot of product inside them no. Guerlain Meteorites probably have price the amount and honestly the containers are quite small so don't expect to get a TON of pearls sadly.

I really dunno how useful or practical they could be considered. I don't use them daily but only ever so often. They aren't so deeply pigmented that you'll be working with them everyday as a blush. They are more of a highlighter for cheeks.

I think mostly the cute factor and the collectible side of it is what
has beauty junkies hyper about this one.

I'm unsure if you'll even be able to prebook as I hear the wait list is pretty filled up :( hurry hurry :) before it's too late!

Hope this helps!

I saw this at Dior counter, sadly the $80 price range is not taken in consideration at the moment anyway..

Do you know that Chanel came out with a Precieuse highlighting gold powder this holiday? Which one is worth getting? I wonder

hi Vivian!

It's a bit high that's for sure!

Yup, I have it and will review it shortly. Really I can't decide which I like better b/c they are so vastly different. The Dior is vey light and delicate where as the Chanel is really shimmery and golden ;)

You'll see what I mean when I review it...big difference between the two ;)

Hugs!

Hi Izzy,

The collection just launched in Singapore and the Night Diamond is only US$60 over here :-) We got both shades of it. I managed to resist it for now but it's definitely still on my mind thanks to your review!

hello steph!

Thanks so much!

umm no secret :) It's a very heavy compact and I think the price is just right for it's size and the collectible aspect of the palette.

If you collect dior you probably will feel the same once you feel the palette :)

Hope this helps!
