Benefit Powderflage

Yak! It's almost 3 am and the Muse has to be up and awake very soon but she just couldn't resist telling you all about Benefit's new Powderflage!

Although I originally wasn't loving Laura Mercier's Secret Brightening Powder I've kinda made my peace with it and I find I reach for it daily which is why I got hyper and excited about Benefit Powderflage!

Now....I must say that I think a pale pink powder will work much better than the ghostly white LM Secret Brightening Powder sports!

Hey Muse, what is this stuff anyway?

If you're unfamiliar with Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder you may be wondering what it is and what Powderflage is! Allow your Muse to explain!

Powderflage promises to brighten dark circles and fine lines by dusting on this pale pink powder and taking you from the 2 hours of sleep effect aka how the Muse will feel in a bit when it's time to wake up and transforming it into 12 hours of fresh, well rested! Brighten your eye area, conceal your dark circles, and make a more beautiful you with a quick sweep of a brush!

Yay! Exciting!

Now Laura Mercier's powder doesn't quite promise that. You're supposed to use it in conjunction with your concealer. I will definately try out Powderflage as a concealer but I doubt I can trust a mere powder to conceal my wicked bad dark circles so I'll probably be concealing with liquid or cream and applying Powderflage ontop for extra brightening! But hey, who knows this could be the miracle product we seek! Benefit's been known to put out a miracle product here and there that I can't live without!

We shall see!

A review comes soon of course as the Muse needs to be the first kid on the block to own this little bad boy!

Guess what? Benefit Powderflage is already on sale at Benefit Cosmetics website! Check it out! Click! $28 USD for the powder...but I'm wondering does it come with the brush? I think it does...how awesome is that? Loves it!

Scratch that the Muse's tired eyes have focused and she noticed the canister read "set" which means indeed it comes with the brush! Really likey that!

I'll try it when it arrives (if the girls at the counter leave me alone, they are so desperated for selling!)

Hey Izzy, anything to cover and conceal those pesky dark circle is great! :)

Unfortunately, these 2 products are quite expensive. LM is not available here. Benefit is uber expensive here as well..

Hope to see ya review soon. If it's worth it, might get it! :)

I'm actually not excited :( I'm never actually really excited at anything that comes in just one shade because the chances of it working for me is like 0.1% *sniff sniff*

Must. Own. This. !!!!

I use the powder in Bobbi Brown's creamy concealer kit - but I'm not in love with it. It doens't really brighten - it just sets the concealer.

What are the other uses of this product? Is it an all-over powder too - or just under eye?

So excited!

hello pao pao!

No no don't say that...the boi-ing concealer and lemon aid are must have products for me ;-)

Aw I understand :( That happens at MAC counters here sometimes..very push SA's...and Bath and Body Works is notorious for pushy SA's! Ahh! Makes me hide and order online instead of going to the store!

Happy Weekend!

Agreed!!!!!!! ;) they are the ban of my life :P

Yes but Benefit ships worldwide..can you do a spree with some of the girl's from cozy?

At 28 dollars USD for the brush and the powder I'm thinking it's a good deal! Wondering how much it'll be your side!

Review coming soon!

hey helly!

Pink ;-) We all love that don't we!

I think the pink does work to neutralize the darkness of circles and also probably has a very faint shimmer to illuminate the eye area.

I really am awful pleased with the cool little how to guides lately. I agree it's very pretty and cute!

the packaging is awesome and loving that it comes with a brush!

Hugs!
Happy Weekend darlin'!

Absolutely will tell ya! Ditto...are you experiencing puffiness? Got any recs for puffy eyes? One of my eyes is always puffy lately. I turned 30 and it all went downhill lol!

Sephora doesn't yet have it but give it a week or two and it'll pop up on the site..and prob later on in stores..I'm thinking Sept in store.

hello robin!

I'm kinda feeling the LM lately. At first I felt like it aged my eyes but it's kinda working good for me lately.

Happy Shopping! Stop by and tell me the deets when you've tried it :)

You're most welcome it's my pleasure!

hey allysia!

I'm sorry! I can totally understand the frustration :( It's rather pink and unflattering to a deeper skin tone :( sigh. Maybe Benefit will get a hint soon and start releasing items that are more suited for darker tones :P

I know the LM actually does a darker version..that might work!!!!

hey laurie!

Happy Weekend!

Oh I'm all over this one too! I have super high hopes!

I really really like that powder in the creamy concealer kit. At first I was worried about it creasing but it does brighten very very little and looks natural on and of course does a fab-o job of setting the concealer.

So far it reads as an under eye item but I imagine if you want you can use it all over your face..I do that with the LM Secret Brightening..I sweep some down the sides of my nose to brighten dull skin..why can't we do the same with the benefit powderflage?!
;)

I want it already. But what if it settles into fine lines @__@

millie,

I'm with you. Main reason I didn't like the LM was due to settling into fine lines however strangely enough the powder in the BB creamy concealer kit does not settle into my fine lines so I'm hopeful that the Benefit will work out the same.

Plus I did notice if I use less with LM and use a smaller brush..that it doesn't settle into my fine lines ;)

this looks very interesting, though I wonder how it would work on asian skin since we have yellow undertones and this powder is pink.

Yet another product from Benefit that I can't wait to get my mittens on :D Plus, $28 for the powder and a brush (that I'm sure could be used for other products other than this one) is quite a steal!

Sometimes I get puffiness, and I use the old standy by of Prep H. However, since the US version of it does not have the secret ingredient necessary (some reason they took it out), my friend's mom in Canada sends me my supply!

Aaahh, the 30's curse! Don't feel bad, I am about to turn 36!

i don't have dark circle problems but i do get excited over the launch of this product. the pink looks gorgeous and i think it will do a great job brightening up the skin. i just hope it doesn't contain shimmer though!

just two questions for you after you've tried the powder:
1. does it contain shimmer?
2. do you think it will work as a blush on fair skin? (cos i've been looking for a super pale pink blush but to no avail *sob*)
