Sephora Spring 2008 Catalog

Guess what?

Sephora's updated it's site with it's newest Spring Catalog!

The theme this year is "Beauty as Art" and I'm not particularly loving the cover art! However, model images on the inside definately look promising!

Sadly, the catalog for me is a disappointment which is no great surprise I guess. Most of what is featured we pretty much already know about and plus they have the standard stuff that they pimp constantly in the catalog like Benefit's Bad Gal Mascara (Worst freaking mascara in the world!), Lash Injection (another loser!), and of course little bits of Sephora stuff is littered through (It's their catalog so I guess they have to pimp some of their own line right?) like lipsticks, shadows, the brush selection etc.....

It's a snore for me which is good news as I've dropped plenty on Japanese Spring Collections this Season so money saved!

Check out the catalog yourself by clicking here!

I don't like Benefit :( The famous Benetint leaves my lips very dry. The bases and concealers all seem too greasy. And I don't quite like the blush shades.

(Muse: I may get a Fafi t-shirt after all, a friend's friend's going to NY and may get one for me!)

I actually love the cover art (the cover model and the art inside, not so much). As long as there's no Lydia Hearst, the Panda's a happy camper.

I saw the catalog at Sephora yesterday, (along with those on10 lipbalms, which smelled and looked gross; then again, I haven't yet tested the Hershey's ones) and was really impressed by the cover concept.

I've been meaning to update you on those Too Faced Galaxy Glam eye shadows: when I first tested them at Sephora, I used only Moon Beam and Supernova, which are really underwhelming and tricky to work with.

I've since then (at various Ultas) tested Shooting Star and Deep Space, which turn into a gorgeous dark olive green and deep navy blue, respectively. It might just be my imagination, but even the textures on these two feel better. They're both highly pigmented, and I suggest you seek out ones with more of the lighter veining, as that's what seems to make the difference. They're definitely worth having and I'm planning on grabbing SS and DS as soon as I can find ones with generous light veins.

have they mailed the catalog yet?? it's more fun to have the catalog in my hand than check it out online ('cuz i'm too lazy to lug my laptop on the ferry).

looks like sephora is trying to keep up with the new MAC colors??

(i presently have 9 items in my sephora online cart waiting for next payday! *sheepish grin*)

hi Pao Pau!

I know :( Benefit is hit and miss sadly :(

I've found cheek stains that are way better then Benetint :P

Totally understand the feeling. Some items I can't do without and some are just rubbish!

YAY! Fantastic! Good news for you!

I can't wait to get the goods!

Hey Mandy!

I like the inside art for sure but not so sure about the cosmetics...kinda boring!

Wow you saved me bucks. Sephora hasn't gotten 'em around here yet and I was gonna order online but may just skip after hearing the poor review you're giving :P

UGH BAD GIRL! Now I need to go and try these out! They did intrigue me from the start but I wasn't sure!

I imagined the lighter veining would help out alot. Hmmm...these are definately an instore purchase then as I can pick the best one. Off to Sephora I go this week!

Bad bad bad bad lemmings!

;)

hi gez!

Not yet but I believe it's in store!

I'm kinda the same. I always check it online but when I get it I find something I want where as when I check online I don't!

YES! Agreed! I noticed the same about the bolder colors!

Nothing, thankfully, in my cart but I may change my mind ;)

One never knows!

*hugs*

Me, I love the new catalog. This is the kind of stuff I adore: beauty as art instead of just beauty to look pretty so maybe the boys'll look at you.

I'm now dying of want for two things: MUFE's Flash color and Guerlain's new Le 2 mascara. I suck with mascara so maybe Le 2 will help me learn.

Well, off I go now.
