First Impressions: Paul & Joe X Disney Collection

I need to relax. What better way to relax then to blog?

Japanese Spring Collection week continues with the eagerly anticipated X Disney Collection! I blogged about this Collection not so long ago in a prior post (Click for details!) and soon after I knew I had to have the entire set!

How freaking cute is the packaging on this? My god I'm in love!

The collection consists of a lip treatment, handcream, and face powders.

My favorite of the collection are the two face powders! The packaging is like Guerlain's Meteorites but a tiny bit smaller in size. I was somewhat disappointed by the fact that there isn't a whole lot of powder beads inside but the packaging, quality, and pigment of the product make up for it!

The powders come in two shades one of which is a beautiful pink! The packaging on the pink shade features Flower, the lovable skunk from Bambi! Awwww! These come with a cute powder puff with ribbon which really makes me love it even more for the girlish Victorian factor! I can't help myself I love cute cosmetics! Don't you!?

The pink is a beautiful shade and can be worn alone if you so desire or used as a highlighter. The color is pigmented enough that you can easily get away with using it as a blush! I guess the puff isn't a conventional way of applying but it works well enough for dotting onto your cheeks! I used some of this last night but decided to use my #187 to pick up the color! It worked a treat because the #187 didn't become saturated with color it just picked up enough to highlight my chubby cheeks hehe!

The peach color features Bambi on the box! Oh my god so cute! I wanna lick the box! My favorite is Flower but I love Bambi just as much! The peach does remind me of the Jill Stuart Blush in 05 Orange Blush (Click here to see the color) and I found it a bit chalky in comparison to the silky texture of the pink. However, it needs to be tested a bit more prior to making my final decision! Like the pink it's nicely pigmented to use as a blush or a highlighter! Yet again a disappointing amount of product but hey we got the cute packaging right? Right!

The other two items in the set were a handcream and a lip treatment. The handcream is a lovely cooling, moisturizing orange scented cream for your hands. Nothing really special here but the packaging does include Lady from Lady and the Tramp!

The lip treatment is quite yummie tasting but don't be fooled into thinking it'll be good for use with lipstick or as a glossy finish for your lips. This is a lip treatment so it's good to moisturize but doesn't leave your lips glossy or shiny! It's most definately not good for use over lipsticks either. The packaging features sweet Marie from The AristoCats! Awwwwwwwwww! I'm so in love. Did I mention that?

I can't squeal enough about this collection! It's so cute!

Overall, a job well done for Paul & Joe! A beautiful selection of very cute items!

Love it?

Hey Izzy,

you lucky girl, I can't believe you managed to get the whole collection! It was sold out in less than a day so my friend had no luck getting it for me. It's a shame there's so little product in the face powders though. The attraction is all in the packaging, I guess. Enjoy your new lovelies!

hey Iris!!!!

I heard the same thing!!!!!!!!!!!!

Within the first hour they had given out 500 slips! Sounds busy!

I'm so so sorry :( If you'd like to try some of the pearls or the handcream I can decant some for you :)

Let me know!

There isn't alot at all in there! I was disappointed :( If you use them daily they will quickly whittle away!

As always I'm diseased enough to have purchased just for the packaging alone. So typical!

Hugs love!

Hello Muse. Do you know any sites(that deliver worldwide and are written in English) where i can purchase the Chinese/Japanese cosmetics you've reviewed? I'm soo craving the Paul and Joe powder balls and also the Lunasol eye palletes...I live in a shithole so unfortunately purchases tend to be trips that are equivalent to delivery prices.

Hi! Thanks for visiting my blog! :)

All this P&J stuff is SUPER cute! I'm a sucker for packaging (hence why MAC gets a lot of my money lol), but it's rather unfortunate that this is available in Singapore only (correct?)!

Either way, everything looks beautiful and fun to use!

Muse, I'm horribly envious of you for being able to get your hands on the Disney collection! It's just so pretty - especially the face powders. I thought the Bambi one would be my fav but your review of the Flower one makes me rethink. *crosses fingers that Canada get this*

Hey D!!!

Fort Lee has some great shopping Japanese wise and some fantatic Japanese places to eat ;)

LOL! I'm on my way mi' lady ;) I'll be there shortly!

God there are TONS of amazing places to eat Japanese in the city ;) We need to get together for sure ;-)!

Shopping and Japanese cuisine=nirvana!

We need to arrange something. Right now I'm a bit busy but after my renewal season at my office I should be good to go ;)

hi Allysia-May!

Sure Allysia. There are several. Sadly you won't be able to get them at retail on some of these sites but at least you can get them ;)

My top pick is www.adambeauty.com

here are a few others:
www.gooddealer.com
www.ichibankao.com
www.facial-shop.com
www.jpmon.com (not english but a tutorial is available on my blog)

Each of these shops are great sources for Japanese brands and asian brands! Check out e-bay too and sometimes you can nab a deal or two!

The lunasol palettes are a bit high when purchased online but I still think they are well worth the price!

I hope this helps love! Sadly, I doubt you'll be able to locate the Paul and Joe as it's sold out Japan side but maybe you can get lucky! Good, good, good luck!

Hugs!

hi Emilee @ GMM!

You're most welcome! I love your blog!

I know! I'm a super suck for packaging too ;)

MAC gets too much of my money too!

Not Singapore sadly just Japan! It was a Japanese exclusive.

You never know it might pop up on E-bay!

=) Thanks for your comment!

But check e-bay, mua, etc..it might pop up online!

Sadly it was a very limited release in Japan only which accounts for it not popping up on ebay :(
