Biteki Purple and Green Spring Dupe FOTD

I started out using blue this morning but I decided that I wanted to dupe the latest Biteki Purple and Green look!

PJ at A Touch of Blusher has posted the promo video for Biteki which is where my inspiration for this look came from! I haven't gotten my latest issue of Biteki and I'm quite eager to get it as I'm curious about the promo DVD it comes with!

My look came out a bit too sparkley as I was running late for work and did it quickly which sadly means it came out sloppy! However, the good news is that you can easily recreate the look if you have the colors I used! They are practically identical to what the model is wearing in the Biteki ad and with a lighter hand you can dupe the look perfectly!

What I Used:

Eyes
Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadow in Fisnet
Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Grifter
Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Flipside
Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Vert
MAC Pigment in Kitschmas
Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner Pencil in Covet
MAC Mascara Primer
Bare Escentuals Big Tease Mascara

Lips
MAC Lipglass in Cult Fav (Fafi)
MAC Lipstick in Strawbaby (Fafi)

Cheeks
Pout Rouge Blush in Berry Babe

Back to work with my butt! Pray I get out of here before it gets much later sigh!

Lovely spring look! I love green + purple! :) Did you use Kitschmas as a highligher (on the brow bone)?

Hi Liz thanks!

I used it as a base for my crease and lid and applied fishnet over it ;)

I was going to use it to highlight but it was a bit too much sparkle! I can't believe I said that ;) LOL it's never enough sparkle for me but in this case it was a bit overkill!

Too much sparkle? Really?? Haha, I've been contemplating buying Kitchmas to use as a highligher on my cheeks... :P Maybe a bit over the blush??

hey liz!

It's very shimmery but I dunno if I'd use it on my cheeks love. You can find something better to use on your cheek area as a highlighter then Kitchmas. It's lilac and it might look a tad but overkill on your face. You can try! Who knows might work!

But I'd suggest a beauty powder or an MSF rather then Kistchmas ;)

hi ' * : . b | u 3 . : * '!

I thought the ad was adorable :) The transformation from average, everyday girl to the beautiful yet natural girl was fab!

You're most welcome! It's my pleasure!

I think you'll like the square cut liner! I was very pleased with it.

The gel liners are a must have in my opinion! Best colors they have done to date!

I think you were interested in the Maquillage line as I recall! They also have a gold and silver they released with the Spring Collection that you might want to check out although the Kate are must cheaper ;)

Hugs!

Ah, i love this look. It's very clean and fresh and the colour don't look shouting or jarring.

I think it's a good substitute for the au natural look as it still looks natural but with a twist.

hi!

so sorry i never had a chance to get back to your fafi post, things have been crazy. i just had to say that i LOVE this FOTD. the eye-colors are just gorgeous, i'll have to try it myself later this week.

now about all those lipglosses i bought-a few went back and i ended up with dior lipgloss in petal pink (i saw that it was used on the dior model for the spring look and couldn't refuse), MAC lipglosses in prrr and instant gold, chanel glossimer in blush, and a tarte lipgloss in kevin and winnie.

i also got a bunch of fafi stuff but really needed to cut back so only end up keeping strawbaby (which i see you're wearing today-it looks MUCH better on you than it does on me) and sassed up.

i've been loving all the reviews lately!

Hey Muse,

I love your interpretation - it's not too sparkly at all! I need to start playing with makeup a bit more - I'm just so lazy in the AM sometimes, ya know?

Thanks always for inspiration - it's gorgeous as usual!

I love this look on you! You look adorable. :)

Ever thought of wearing clothes of a different color than your make-up, making the make up pop more with a bigger contrast?

It looks like two pastel-yet-bright-enough colours used in eye makeup is the new spring trend! lol!

In the video the girl's skintone and skin was so beautiful! I wish I had such a beautiful skin.

Hi Jen!

Thats ok! I know the feeling! ;)

I have petal pink and love it! One of the main reasons I purchased it was because the promo model was wearing it :) She looked very natural and fresh!

Instant Gold is a fav of mine so gorgeous!

Sweet haul of gloss ;)

Strawbaby is a fav of mine! Very nice! Add some gloss on top I think it needs a bit of gloss to give it a bit of pop!

Sassed up is another fav of mine so yummie and pretty!

Aw glad you're liking the content lately :) I'll do my best to keep it up!

Hugs!

hi Sofia!

Thank you very much!

I'm scared actually to clash different colors with my eye looks ;) I'm worried I'll look too nutty lol! So I normally match up what I'm wearing to the colors of my shadow!

I do some really bold looks so I'm worried that if I'm say wearing a purple shirt and I do a gold eye look that I'll look like a nutter ;)

Maybe someday I'll be confidence enough to cash clothes and shadows ;)
