FAFI for MAC First Impressions, Reviews, And General Babble

Ok. I came, I saw, and I conquered Fafi today. I picked up my bits just a little while ago from Nordies and it's a nice haul of MAC that has some ups and downs which I'll of course share you with you fine folk!

So if you live under a rock or you just haven't heard MAC's latest collection is designed by French artist Fafi!

The collection consists of an array of vibrant, bold shades that'll sure to please the make up adventurer. It's generally a super collection because some of the colors are truly outstanding however as with all MAC collections you'll run into one or two items that seem to be a complete rerun!

I've been collecting MAC for about...mmmm maybe a year and a half? Maybe more but I'm not entirely sure to be honest. Some of you have fell off the MAC bandwagon a long, long, long time ago but I'm still riding my MAC high and for some reason I haven't quite come down from my trip as of yet. I'm hoping I'll come down soon because boy I'll be richer that's for sure but the fact is I love MAC. It's high quality with a low price tag. Sincerely who doesn't like that cocktail? I'm far from a diehard considering I cheat with so many other brands but I still do have a special place in my heart for MAC. Those of you who long fell off the train or just never boarded it I definately give props too because I sincerely find it difficult to just say no to MAC!

Fafi has a good few flaws so I'd best lay them out before getting to the good stuff! The biggest flaw, biggest BOO!, and biggest rant goes to the fact that the cute Fafinettes displayed on the packaging are labels and by the very way not only are they sticky labels but they are peeling off right out of the bloody box! I'm looking through BRAND NEW, IN THE BOX lippies that I purchased and I'm noticing tears on the label already! What the hell MAC?

I'm wondering was this to save money or just pure dumb laziness! I read about this before and was a tad worried but convinced myself it'd be fine. Wrong. Not only does this make the compacts, quads, and lipstick tubes look cheap but also totally ruins my day that they are peeling freaking off right in front of my eyes.

Great.

Fact is you aren't going to be towing any of it around ladies. Granted these are items we'll probably keep the boxes for and place them in the beauty vault but some people do like to tote these things around for the cute factor and honestly it's now pretty bloody impractical since you have to worry about the labels peeling off if they rub against other bits in your makeup case.

I'm puzzling and wondering what the hell MAC was thinking!?

MAC redeems itself by actually printing the emblem on the beauty powders but the quads, lipglasses, and lipsticks are all stickers!

Another rant from your Muse. I'm simply hating the fact that they have decided it was ok to do the same exact image on ever Beauty Powder, lipstick tube, etc.....So we got three incredible beauty powders couldn't they do a different image on each powder? A little rotation couldn't hurt anyone could it? I'm now the proud owner of four of the six lipsticks released with again, the same image. Rotate? Variety? Please? It would have been super cute to have at least two images on the lipsticks and maybe three separate images on the Beauty Powders! The quads I guess I could forgive. Minor rant but seriously hello? It's variety calling.

The streets of New York are lined with slushy snow and little droplets of icy rain are pelting away since this afternoon thus the Muse wasn't too inspired to head to her freestanding store so she got lazy and went to Nordies for her lot of goods which means she missed out on the tote bag and dolls! But hey I guess it's good as it's money saved? Or maybe not as I'm sure I'll be tempted to head in and grab them shortly. Either way I did luck out because my gorgeous MA had waited for me as her shift ends at 6and I was running late at work so she waited PLUS treated me to dinner after I shopped Fafi! I felt special!

I'm possibly through with my ranting as of now so I guess I can settle in on the raving!

The lippies is the collection are solid gold for me. Really bright, bold shades that I wouldn't normally pick up but I was feeling daring so they most definately ended up in my bag! I got 4 of the 6 released.

I got Utterly Frivolous which is a pretty matte coral with a bit of pink to it. I also got Strawbaby which is my favorite of the lot! It's a pretty deep rose, gorgeous in my book. Flash-n-Dash also ended up in my bag. This is pretty bold and falls into the neon pinky orange category, it's very un-Musey but I couldn't resist! Fun n' Sexy passed under my radar as well and it is absolutely shockingly pink with a fuschia edge if ever I did see one!

Utterly Frivolously , Strawbaby, Fun n' Sexy, and Flash-n-Dash

Lipglasses I only got two and I left the other two. Squeeze It quite reminded me of the color Happening Gal that was released with the Barbie Loves MAC Collection so I safely skipped it. I did end up with Totally It and Cult Fave. Totally It is a bit similar to Malibu Barbie but it's a bit more vibrant and will go well with the Fun n' Sexy lippie! Cult Fave is a rather natural shimmering pink shade.

Totally It and Cult Fave

Both blushes TOTALLY ended up in my cart. Real winners in my opinion! Fashion Frenzy is a blushing pink while Hipness is a kicking peach!

Hipness and Fashion Frenzy

Beauty Powders that were released with this collection are definately worth your cash! I got all three as they are most definately too difficult to pass up! Sassed-Up is a peach with gold sparkles while Verve-Acious is a beautiful beige with gold sparkle. Now the problem is I got all three of the powders but my MA stuck two of Sassed-Up in my bag! Duh! I have to go back for Belightful! I'll be sure to post pics when I have it!

Verve-Acious

Sassed Up

Last but never least our quads. From what I understand only two of the colors in both quads are repromotes but don't quote me. I loved the colors and even though I have similar shades you know I can't say no! Fafi 2 is my favorite and very Spring! The palette is perfect aside from one shade which is Prankster. Prankster is navy blue and just not as beautiful nor as complimenting as the other shades in the palette. Gold, Coral, and Light Green all shimmer and wink at me in this quad! Love, Love, Love it! Definitely worth picking up! Fafi 1 has some very nice colors as well but another weird bluish black awaits us in the quad. Mmm oh well! Pink, Cream, and Beige are colors found in Fafi 1.

Fafi 1

Fafi 2

I picked up the small makeup case and the LE bag with brush as well which are both very cute!

Overall, it's a nice collection as I said with some minor flaws.

Items that are definately worth picking up:

Beauty Powders
Fafi 2
Blushes
Strawbaby Lipstick

Paint Pots didn't call to me. I find them difficult to work with so I skipped all of them! Everything else is repromoted such as mascara and such! Nail Varnish...well...we all know the drama of my nails so a skip for me.

I can't stick a Muse Approved sticker on this. It's VERY nice but it just can't get the Muse's approval with the shabby design! It really disappointed me in that aspect and it's a bit unforgivable! I expect more from MAC! Let's hope the same mistakes aren't made with Heatherette! If so, we'll all have to go on strike from MAC!

So how about you my pretties?

What did you get?

What did you love?

Hate?

Just not a MAC girl?

Tell me allllllllllll about it! Or send me your haul pics and reviews at musings.of.a.muse@gmail.com

I'd love to see and post 'em for others to see if you're so inclined to share ;)

I am totally in love with Strawbaby! I saw the swatches and knew I had to get it!

I'm wearing it with Sugar Trance lipglass on top and I feel my lips are so kissable.
But that may be due to love in the air coz it's Valentine's now. :p

I'm so getting a backup!

How come you didn't get any paint pots?? I was just wondering since everyone absolutely raved about the paint pots being the best part of the collection. Unfortunately this collection doesn't really tickle my fancy and neither does MAC in general :( But have fun with your goodies!

i was disappointed, too, with the stickers. one of my gloss stickers has a crease in it! i think it was just cheaper for them to mass print stickers than it was to mass print Fafi containers. that way, if Fafi didn't sell, they can use the containers for another collection.

today, i bought 2 lipsticks and 2 glosses that i didn't get when i ordered online yesterday.

have you tried squeeze it gloss over strawbaby lipstick? it's very pretty!

i get the rest of my Fafi haul via UPS tomorrow. i can't wait..!

Nice haul, Muse! I ordered a doll, shirt, Fun 'n Sexy and Sassed Up but still haven't got a shipping notice and that was two days ago! MAC.com seems to ship more slowly than other sites.

I can't wait to try the beauty powder! Your photos are making me want to drag my lazy butt to the mall and get the other color too!

I usually skip through MAC as the only thing they make that i really like is their lipglass. I do own a foundation because they do great colours for black skin but it usually takes at least 15 minutes for it to set which is way too much time for me to be wasting. But oh boy!!! I'm in love with this....so in love that i'm getting on a bus right now and going to the nearest city so that i can be at the nearest MAC counter before it's lunchtime for those people that work. I'm also thinking of checking out the Mineralize Satinfinish foundation. As for the stickers lifting up, i've got a trick for you. Look for transparent glues that come in spray cans and spray it all over the packaging. Trust me those stickers won't be lifting up. If you're not interested in going down that route, try using your clear nail varnish. The ones that are described as diamond coats tend to last longer. So just paint it all over the case to stop the stickers lifting up. It doesn't last forever though so once the polish starts chipping you can easily wipe it off and recoat it. This is what i tend to do to keep my stickers in place. Or lastly you could go old school and use superglue on them but be careful not to glue your hands.

You are a MACALOONY. Official.

Actually the blushers look lovely...but alas I am giving up MAC for lent. Whatever lent it.

I was disappointed with barbie, because the lippies essentially had stupid stickers on! Rubbish!

What a wonderful review dearie! I love how absolutely thorough you were.

I shall say it again- your mua waited for you and got you dinner! I wanna meet her as she sounds absolutely wonderful. Only prob is to shop at nordies cause i have mac pro and they don't accept it (boooo nordies!)

I picked up the WHOLE collection minus the bag and the shirt, just because i have been waiting and waiting and was absolutely determined to have all of its cuteness. Barbie sits in my beauty vault untouched and in its entirety as fafi will.

Ohh, I met FAFI at Bendels! She is so adorable! If you like I can send you pics too :-D

Oh, and I'm working on my review of the smashbox powder. I should have that to you sometime early next week.

Shopping trip?! Yes please :-D

hi petitebelle!

Too difficult to work with :P I have a few of the pot paints and just don't like 'em! I've tried warming 'em up, applying with sponges, applying with brushes, applying with fingers and still sucky application for me :P

Too much tugging and hassle :(

I'm shocked everyone said they were the best. For me the lippies, beauty powders, and blushes were the awesome ;) But I always march to my own kinda music so it could be me that's missing the potential greatness of the paint pots.

God I wish I felt the same about MAC! Maybe someday I'll tire of it :)

Hugs darling!

Happy V-day!

hey gez!

:( Big time. Mine does too sadly. That's true but still they could have put a bit of effort into the packaging!

I didn't buy Squeeze it as I thought it might be very much like a color from the Barbie collection! Oh no lemming coming on now!

What else did you get?! Tell me tell me tell me hehe!

Happy Vday Gez!

Hey Taryn!

Thanks sweets! MAC is a bit slow shipping wise lately. I've seen my orders take about 3 days or so prior to shipping!

Nice Haul! I wish the shirts came in a larger size as I'm wobbley ;)

The Beauty Powders are the best I've seen! So pretty and shimmering!

You can order online and get free shipping using SLIMESHINE coupon code if it's easier ;)

I tempt the lemmings!

Hey girlie! You know these colors will be great if you're a darker skin tone! The beauty powders will look beautiful plus the freaking lippies will pop on your lips! I think they'd be ultra flattering!

I really like the MSF as a finishing powder ;) Good stuff!

You must must must pop back and tell me if you got anything!

Oh cool beans! Great idea!!!!!!! I never thought to do that! I shall sit down and do so tonight because I'm already being extremely delicate with everything! The clear nail varnish will seal it up nice!

Super trick ;-) Thanks!

LOL that wouldn't be so bad right? Super glue a mac compact to my hand? Chic!

lol!

No but seriously the clear nail varnish will work a treat! Thanks honey!

Happy V-Day!

Looking forward to hearing what you get!

Thank you for posting this. After seeing the lipglosses, I do believe I'll buy Totally It (oh my GOD do I hate the little cutesy names they give this shit! It makes me want to kill myself just typing them out!) and another tube of Fun 'N Sexy (OH GOD MAKE IT STOP!) to go with it. I liked the Fashion Frenzy blush...but since I don't wear blush, foundation, concealer or any of that, I'm not buying it. Problem being is that I've also got a lot of catchups to buy as well: Chanel's gloss in Sideral, that beautiful blue gloss by Anna Sui if I can find it, Dior's Wildest Blue plastic gloss, Givenchy's Iced Mint gloss of I can find it, and more that I know I'm forgetting.

It's times like this I really wish I were independent so I could buy whatever the bleedin' hell I want.

On another note, I completely agree with you on MAC's half-assed bullshit decision to use STICKERS instead of printing the fafi artwork and logo like they did with Barbie. But at the same time, I can kinda understand it. I remember--not too long ago, at that--when every MAC collection, even if it was complete bullshit, sold out in a matter of hours after going live. Now...hell, In 3D is still up with no colors missing. Same with Stylistics, I think. And And fafi...all that's sold out is an eye pencil that's not even LE and the scarf. THAT'S ALL. So even if the decision was cheap, I can understand their reasoning for it. The craze for MAC is slowly dying down. I suppose they've picked up on it.

Really, the only thing I wanted badly from MAC sold out really quickly (ohhhh irony, go fuck yourself). It was from their Spring Summer Trends, under the Acrylic section. The Mixed Mediums pick with the beautiful blue-violet lipstick called Violette and the lipmix in iridescent violet....oh, how I wanted that. But at least I can make the lipstick color myself and can get the lipmix from MAC Pro. So it's not a total loss.

Anyhow. I'm exhausted. I've been up most of the night. I should probably go to sleep.

Have a good day!

Hey Miss Muse!

You TOTALLY nailed it on the head with the packaging. I HATE it - boo!

But I loved the lippies. I got 3 of the 6 and 2 of the lipglass. I also picked up both quads, and 4 paint pots - LOL. Talk about out of control!

The beauty powders didn't do anything for me - the glitter was just too big and yucky on me.

You'd better give us some more FOTDs with your haul, love!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!! Smooches!

Hi Angelique!

You're most welcome :)

Yes indeed they are all rather girlish cutey names!

Damn you have a ton of stuff on your wish list ;) That'll be a nice haul of yum when you get it!

Stickers stink that's for sure sigh! Oh well! A reader posted a great hint for keeping them on. Apply crystal clear nail varnish on top! I thought that was a great tip!

I recall MAC selling out very fast years back as well but at the time I wasn't a MAC Addict so it didn't faze me much but Love listening to stories about the old days lol!

In 3D is still up? I didn't see that!

I think many folk have dropped off the train MAC wise. I suppose after a while of collecting you just can stop and say whoa I have too much!

I didn't even see any of these items up? Violet lippie? Ooo!

Get some good rest!

Hello my little cookie!

How are you this great day!?

Boo on the packaging for sure :( damnit.

I loved, loved the lippies too and I think I may go back for the ones I skipped on!

FAB HAUL! Did you blog it? Totally going to get my daily cookie dose in a few. Can I tell you how excited I am to see you wearing this stuff? You're my total FOTD crush! You wear stuff so elegantly! I can't wait to see you wearing some of it. Did you get any of the bolder lippies? You're going to look stunning! Oh I'm so excited to see new FOTDS! *does a little Muse dance*

I didn't get the paint pots and I'm sorta telling myself that I should but I know I'll never use 'em they just don't work for me. Too much hassle in application for me :P

They had alot of CHUNKY glitter. Which is definately appealing to me but I know not everyone is a big lover of glitter!

Can't wait to see your haul and FOTDS!!!!!!!!!

I need inspiration for my looks from you ;)

hugs my friend!

Have a super wonderful V-Day!

I haven't blogged it yet, and I may not be able to get to it until the weekend since I have dinner tonight and we're hanging out with friends tomorrow night - oh the life!

The paint pots are pretty, but if they don't work for you then skip 'em! I bought enough for us both ;)

You're so cute! I can't wait to show you my FOTDs. I always feel like they're so boring compared to these other talented gals!

Hugs back to you Muse! xoxox

Wow, great review!
This is the first collection I am going to be participating in! Right now the only MAC items I own are is a concealer, and a shadow from the Lure collection :S
I am interested in buying
Blush: Fashion
Lipglass: Totally It
Quad: Fafi Eyes 1
I am NW 15, brown hair so I hope those colors will work.
Since you own all I want I was wondering if you could (please!) post a few swatches or showing you wearing some of these colors!
That would be great, but if you can’t that’s fine ;)
Thanks, and again great review!

For close up photos, does your camera have a macro function? It focuses on close up subjects without the blurriness :]

Do you think the IPPS are too glittery/shimmery?

I have ONE paint pot so far (not even opened! LOL) yet I decided to buy Cash Flow, haha. I hope I can work with them!

Lure was a fab collection :) which shadow do you have?

I had to look up your foundation color ;) Those colors will look fab on your fair skin :) Especially Fashion Blush! Either of the quads will work brilliantly on you as well :)

I think the blushes were really the gem in the collection and the beauty powders :)

I'll definately do an FOTD for you with those colors! Expect it Monday deal?

I'd take swatches but my cam doesn't pick them up well so I'll redirect you here for some fab swatches:

Any suggestions!?

IPPS? You have to explain that one to me hehe. I'm lost!

I wanted cash flow myself but they just don't work well for me :( I may still go back as it's somewhat tempting to get it as it's beautiful and gold!

large $25 USD
small $15 USD

LOL everyone is loving the paint pots except me. I think I have to buy one so I don't feel left out of the craze hehe!

Thanks for lurking ;) and making Musings a daily stop! I appreciate it big time! Many hugs!!!!!!! Comment when you can :) always love hearing from you!

I need to tempt you Muse, so that I can live vicariously!

I'm looking forward to playing makeup this weekend, for sure!

If I'm using the paint pots as a base, I use a brush (mac 242, I think). I only have one actual color, Quite Natural, which I apply also with a brush but heavier handed and then I smudge and blend with my fingers. I haven't tried the lighter colors yet, but I can't wait!

I love doing the FOTDs, they help me remember which looks I like too!

Happy Friday - huge hugs back to you!!!

I agree! Fotd's are so awesome for recreating and just looking back to see how my skills have evolved etc...

Alot of people get grief for taking tons of pics and plopping 'em on a blog but I love doing it! It's like a daily journal of your looks! Good fun!

I loved your review - thank you for that. I'm somewhere in Asia so the collection isn't out yet.. its nice to see what people like/dislike so I can save some money and get only the necessities from the collection. One question - how do you use the beauty powder? and why does it have glitter on it? I really hate glitter but the compact with the face of a fafi doll on it is just too cute.. so I was wondering how to use it - thank you! -babydollie

I too was unimpressed at the sheath stickers. Boo MAC!
But that didn't stop me from running away with everything but the kitchen sink. I got all of the paint pots (yup, all of them), both blushes, both quads, Sugar Trance,Cult Fave and Totally It lipglosses. Lastly, I got High Top, Flash N Dash, Utterly Frivolous and Fun N Sexy. Fun N Sexy impressed me so much that I made it my first backup lipstick. The powders were okay, but not enough for me to buy.

dear muse,

YOU'RE TOTALLY AWESOME! i'm a first time reader and ever since like yesterday i've been all over the web on so many freakin beauty blogs. and this is probably my maybe 3rd time stopping by. i had to comment!

you are so nice and amiable with all your readers! but unlike you, i LOVE paint pots and i'm nothing special but i bought 4 of the 6 and i plan to go back for the other two more neutral shades that i didn't get. rollickin was a bit disappointing b/c it was less vibrant than i thought it would be. but cash flow on the other hand is SO, SO gorgeous. i wish mac had a gold pigment and not that green-gold one but they don't. this is their gold for me. and i haven't used it but i totally adore it. nice vice is also wonderful because i've been in love with purple since... i don't know, haha.

but yes, paint pots with the 242 or 252? i use the 252 which i'm guessing is a little bigger than the 242 but nonetheless it gets the job done and i like to sometimes use my 217 to blend it reallll good before it dries since it's sticky. although you only need a small amount i like to use a little more because it makes it easier for me to apply. i hope this makes you want to fall in love with paint pots as much as i have... or least give it another go? haha. i recommended it to my friend and she is as smitten as i am and i was the one who got her started with mac. yay, go me!

but anyway, i'm not that big of a lipstick fan but i have a couple of them. strawbaby is tempting so i might just have to go back to get along with flash-n-dash or high top. the lipglosses are omg. i just love them. cult fave and sugar trance are AmAZiNG! i haven't gotten to the point where i can use extremely bright, popping neon shades of make up so i only got the blush in hipness, which is still pretty bright, and i wore it today and i felt so PRETTY. lol. i felt like my face was screaming to everyone "LOOK AT ME!! LOOK AT ME, NOW!!" haha. i'm a nut. haha. i just went on for like ever. okay. i think i'm done here.

XOXO,
YOUR NEWEST FAN!

hello babydollie!

You're most welcome! Thanks for your comment! I had originally thought that the Asia release would be the same as the US but I guess not :( Sadness! But as you said it's a good way to see what people love and hate so you can decide what you'd like to get for yourself!

I use the beauty powders as a highlighter on my cheeks, chin, sides of my face. You can even use 'em on your cleavage if you like for a bit of sparkle!

It has some chunky pieces of glitter for sure so if you hate glitter these may not be something you want!

If you have a bit of extra cash you might want to buy one and pop out the beauty powder and swap it for your own finishing powder or foundation :) So you can have the cute compact with the fafi girl on it and your own foundation inside! I've seen girls do that with they Barbie Loves MAC beauty powder compacts!

Hope this helps!
Hugs!

hi Tekoa!

:( I know. Very big rant from the crummy stickers and decals :(

LOL I ran away with everything and the kitchen sink myself ;)

NICE HAUL of goodies there Tekoa!

I must say that I think I want a few of the lippies as a backup too because they are simply awesome!

I think Sassed Up is worth a purchase!

I'm still debating on the paint pots! How sick ;) I think I want at least the gold one I might go back! EEP!

Thanks for your comment!

hi eikcaj403!

Aw thanks so much sweetie! Sincere thanks for your visits and comment!

Well the readers most definately make writing worth it ;) They are all wonderful to me!

With all the excitement on the paintpots I'm so tempted to go back for the gold ;)

Cash flow was one that I was going to originally get but I left it! Ugh you're making me lem! lol!

They actually have gold dusk pigment. It was released for a summer collection about two seasons ago I believe. That's a nice pure gold color! Check E-bay for it! Love that color! Also golden lemon is nice!

hmm I have both the 242 and 252 I'll try applying and blending with those! Thanks for the tip! I think they are indeed sticky and fast drying so that's always a problem when I apply!

I have three colors? I believe so this definately makes me want to retry my skills at applying!

LOL cheeky little monkey tempting your mates with MAC ;)

I've converted a few of my mates to MAC too!

Flash n Dash is actually leaning towards my favorite in comparsion to strawbaby ;)

The lippes and gloss were fabulous! I'm eager for Heatherette because the lippies look so yum!

The blushes are pretty good because you can go as bright or as light as you like ;) AWW lol! Makeup rocks for that reason! Makes us feel pretty and confidant :) and just draws attention to our faces ya know?

Feels good!

Oh gosh no I loved your comment ;) I'm glad you came out to chat! I hope you won't be a stranger to my comment box! I look forward to getting to know you!

big hugs ;)

Great post! Love the honesty. You are so right about the tacky stickers. I had such high hopes for this collection and now that I got a few products. I'm disappointed. O well onto the next collection can't wait for Heatherette
Again great post, great blog

hi slvrlips!

Thanks sweetie!

I am so disappointed with the stickers! GOD! The colors are fab though and the redeeming factor for the disappointing packaging :( I can barely wait for Heatherette! Hope it's better!

Thanks so much for the compliment and comment! Hope to talk to you again soonish!

Hugs!

Hi girl,

I came across your blog while surfing through Google and I must say that I really loved your review! It's been very helpful to me! I live in The Netherlands and I have to be patient till (at least) the first week of march, so I'm reading all the comments and reviews to decide what's best to buy. I did have a weak moment though, so I ordered the Utterly Frivolous lipstick from eBay already (I know, I know, I'm bad!). :P The color came out a bit different than I expected (I thought it would be more peachy), but I LOVE it! It has a bit of Hollywood glam, I think.
I'm planning on buying a lot more, including the blush brush. Do you like the brush?
Enjoy your MAC goodies and thanks for the review!

hey nenz!

Thanks for the comment! Awesome to have another nederlander joined our ranks ;)

Properly chuffed you liked my review ;)

I really thought this collection had the same release date as the US and was saddened to hear it wasn't :( Stinks for my international readers and creates all sorts of lem for them!

Sorry you have to wait so long :-(

I can't blame you for purchasing off e-bayer! I'd be utterly impatient as well!

I think layering the lipglasses with the lippies give more pop so if you have a boring moment try a lipglass and it might brighten it up!

Don't buy the blush brush. I returned it. It's rubbish. I thought it was bigger and didn't notice until I had it home. So I ended up sending it back! Rubbish :P Save your cash for a better brush love!

Thanks!
Do stop by and tell me when you get your items and how you like 'em ;)

Hugs!

Hi girl!
Well, we FINALLY got the MAC Fafi stuff over here last weekend and of course - as the crazy Fafi-fan that I am - I went straight to the MAC store for some shopping!
Your review was very helpful to me, so I knew exactly what I wanted to get! I bought:
* Fun 'n Sexy & Not so innocent lipstick (I already had Utterly Frivolous)
* Iridescent Pressed Powder in Sassed Up
* Hipness blush
* Totally it lipglass (which I absolutely LOVE)
* the bigger cosmetic bag
* an Ermine doll (she's too cute!).
I also got the blush brush, although you were o so kind to warn me not to get it, but I was using a very old, very cheap brush and this one was just so much better :). It's good enough for me, lol!
I am a very happy (and very broke) Faf-loving person right now.

Much love,
NEnz

Hi, know this is an old post but just got my Mac Fafi order through from the post.
i live in England...i bought the blusher in fashion frezy (love love love it!! perfect pink) and the iridescent powder in belightful (gorgeous!!) the ones i got through have the Fafi logo and picture printed on rather than a sticker! i must say that i love the boxes too, wish the blusher pot had the same print over it that the box has!
and i love your blog too especially the FOTD's.

hey Abbey!

Thanks for posting! That's ok! I still love hearing what people have to say even when it's an old post :)

I love the blushes too! So gorgeous! The pink is especially yummie!

Sounds like you got a gorgeous haul of yummie goodies ;) Enjoy!

Actually I believe that the only thing that had stickers were the lippes and eye quads so PHEW that's a relief!

Aw thanks so much honey! I was thinking of fazing out fotds because I was feeling bummed about them but I really appreciate the compliment ;) I'll definately start doing FOTDS again soon :)

Cheers and thanks for the comment!
Don't be a stranger to the comment box :) We'd love to have you around for our banter and chitchat!
