Madonna's Eye-Conic Look From Shu Uemura
Whether you love her or you hate her it's unquestionable that Madonna is a style icon. From her flair for fashion, her eye for accessories, and of course, most important for the Muse, her minimal yet dramatic makeup she reigns in the realm of chic and classy.
Artistic Director Gina Brooke created Madonna's most recent look for her Sticky & Sweet 2009 Summer Tour and you'll be quite delighted to know how easy it is to do for yourself!

Madonna's look was inspired by her hit song "Ray of Light", Brooke, who has been working with Madonna since 2002, transforms Madonna's eyes by applying a mix of crushed, small flawless diamonds and white eye shadow to her lids. The results is a bright and sparkling glow!
Brooke uses Shu Uemura Press Eye Shadow in ME White 905 to provide a soft, light reflecting, diamond-like effect. Brooke uses actual diamonds to surround Madonna's eyes of course we can't all afford to snag ourselves some diamonds. To duplicate the effect try using bindis which you can find in any number of small Indian bridal shops or online at www.bindishop.com
Brooke feels that any woman of any age can wear a shimmery, ethereal shade like ME White 906 from Shu. "A little sheen helps enhance the eyes and instantly gives a younger appearance. Modonna is always up for trying new things and I think all women should feel comfortable experimenting and enhancing their beauty...." states Brooke.
In 2004, Brooke collaborated with Shu Uemura to create a pair of custom made mink lashes for Madonna. In 2006, she took the idea to a revolutionary level by creating a pair of diamond and minkencrusted lashes for Madonna. After overwhelming interest from consumers, the Shu Uemura lashes were created and sold exclusively at Neiman Marcus for $10,000 a pair.
Sparkling white shadow and diamonds always make me think of the crisp frozen Winter, Ice Queens, and Christmas. I love this look as the weather grows colder but sadly the Muse is fresh out of 10 g's for the lashes but she doesn't mind indulging in Shu Uemura ME White 905 and a pack of $1.50 bindi brow stickers to duplicate the look and you can too!
What do you think of Madonna's sparkling diamond look?
