Shu Uemura Cream Eye Shadows

I gave you the deets on what to expect from our beloved Shu a few days ago! Here's one further image of the brand new Shu Uemura Cream Eye Shadows!

Yummie right? These look incredible and knowing Shu they'll be pigmented in a major way!

The shadows are already available at Nordstrom and will launch shortly on the Shu site.

Likey!

Wish list anyone?

Are these at all like paint pots? Not sure how to use them.

hi Janet!

there cream shadows so you basically smooth them on your eyes and blend for a bit of color :-D

If you want you can use them like a paint pot I'm sure as a bit will work at keeping your shadow in place or intensifying the color of one :-D

These are new? They have long been part of the Shu permanent line in Singapore, but I guess they're new to the US.

I've got one in matte white in my collection, and it's very opaque, very good for punching up the vibrancy of pastels like lavender.

The most unique ones IMO that you won't find dupes of in MAC's paint pot range are the primary yellow, red, and orange ones (these colors are matte finish).

If I didn't already have the Benefit Creaseless cream shadow in Skinny Jeans, then the pearly grey one would be on my wishlist. I've asked the makeup artists which colors are the popular ones, and she tells me the pearly seafoam green is their top seller.

In my own collection, when I compare mine to the MAC paint pots, Bobbi Brown long-wear eye shadows, and Benefit creaseless, I find the Shu one to be among the driest in texture (maybe because mine is a matte not a pearl finish), so it is a little bit harder to blend out, but excellent for opacity, lasting power, and non-creasing. If I didn't already have a lot of dupe colors, I'd pick one or two more of these babies up.

Muse, I could totally see you rock the bright orange one.

We have that since last spring. I guess they release that in Asia first. The texture is fine. A bit harder than paintpot. But also last longer. Some of the colors're pure matte with no shimmer or pearl, like orange and red. I have one which is a lemon green. This one has pearl sheen to it. In the pot it looks dry, but apply very easy. Actually I like it more than paintpot. I mean since it feels drier, the color will be where I put on, not very slippery, but it also very easy to blend. I really want the blue one, but I already have so many blue e/s and I don't think that will make any sense since these days, I rarely wear them. It's also more translucent than paintpot. Well, hard to describe. But you really should check it out.
