Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream Review

The Muse thinks anything named Yu-Be and has been around for 50 years in Japan has to be awesome by default right?

Maybe....

One of Japan's most trusted skincare lines in Japan, Yu-Be has been used for over 50 years. The idea of Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream is to address an entire slew of skin care problems. Parched Lips, ragged cuticles, cracked heels, and even diaper rash, Yu-Be has you covered. This gentle, glycerin-based formula is enriched with vitamin E, B2, and camphor to soothe even the driest and irritated of skin types.

Sounds like super balm right?

It's actually quite awesome. It does exactly what it promises in aces. The formula is a thick, yellow cream that has a medicine, menthol smell that goes away quickly. The cream absorbs fairly quickly and does sooth extra dry skin however it is a tad bit on the greasy side which could be a deal breaker for some. Personally I didn't mind the greasy feel since it did such an amazing job healing my dry skin which is much like skin on of an Elephant during the cold Winter months.

I generally liked the idea of such a multitasking moisturizing and have been tucking it into my purse to use on my cuticles during work hours as I'm one for picking at my nails until they bleed! Gross! This successfully softens the skin around my nails which causes me to be less obsessive about picking my hang nails.

It works great on my rough elbows and knees and particularly well at making and keeping my feet nice and smooth after a pedi!

Overall, it's def on my list for repurchase when I run out! Really liked this one and Muse Approving it for purchase as it's well worth checking out for anyone who suffers from dry, cracking skin in the Winter or anytime!

Likey!

Isn't it great? I'm a new Yu-Be addict too. It works on pesky rashes also. I want the jumbo jar!

Yube is the best hand lotion and I've definitely have tried a lot of them. The only annoying thing is that the price in the US is twice that in Asia. I bought the tub for $12USD in Taiwan when its $24USD here.

sounds a lot like Vitamin A&D ointment that you can get in the baby-care aisle of any store. i grew up having it used on me, and i still use it for similar things. it smells comforting to me since i use it all the time, but it's not scented with anything recognizable. how much was this? it sounds less greasy.

love this stuff - it works in a pinch for my minor eczema outbreaks, since I ran out of my prescription =T and as long as you're careful not to get it in your eye, it works wonders on lashes!

hey laura!

exactly hehe :-D But since it's Japanese it makes it better....lol :)

It's $12 for the small tube but I'm taking into consideration you only need a tiny amount so the price isn't too bad!

I really love this stuff, but since I discovered Aquaphor (same texture, minus the scent and preservatives) I don't use it as much.

I have the same problem with my cuticles: they're always ragged and bloody and revolting thanks to my regular habit of picking at them. :-(

I love Yu-be too!!!! i use it on my face, n it's actually helping me w/ my clogged pores. It gives enough moisture so my skin doesn't produce as much oil. I don't think it's greasy at all cuz it absorbs quickly, unless u use too much of it
