Product Musings: MAC Eyeshadow Firespot

The Muse thinks we should all sign a petition and ask MAC to freaking bring back Firespot! Too many makeup junkies have not experienced the beauty and joys of Firespot, blasphemy!

The Muse has an orange eyeshadow here and there. She also owns a few peaches, a few bronzes, and a coral or two, and other wonderful shades that fall into the "orange" category. But she's never quite run across such a stunning, pigmented shade of pure orange flame like MAC Firespot.

Upon it's release with the MAC Moonbathe Collection it sold out uber quickly. I was lucky to get one at the time as I was a week to late hauling Moonbathe as I recall it.

It's possibly the most prettiest shade I've come across and quite reminds me of a flame of a fire. It's extremely pigmented and works amazingly well with golds to create a gorgeous Summery eye look!

Loves it!

Can we please has it back now MAC?

How about you?

Have it?

Love it?

Tell the Muse!

I don't have it. The only bright orange eye shadow I have from MAC is Coppering, and I do like that one though ;)
I'd love to see an EOTD with it!

Do you think there is a dupe in one of the Majolica eyeshadow singles?

I love Firespot!!! It's seriously one of my favorite MAC shadows (up there with Parrot, Lovestone, and Satin Taupe).

I bought it the day before Harry Potter #7 came out and I had the MA do a gradient Gryffindor eye on me (to go with my costume for the book release that night) with Cranberry, Lovestone, Mythology, Firespot and Goldmine. 'Twas quite awesome. (Although I was wearing a Gryffindor costume, I'm a Ravenclaw... I like to think of it as my "I'm cheering for Gryffindor in Quidditch cause Ravenclaw kinda sucks so I can justify wearing Gryffindor colors" LOL.)

I think Moonbathe is probably one of my favorite MAC collections (Afterdusk is one of my favorite blushes ever). The white pearl and black patent packaging is just too pretty.

I love this shade too, though I wear it but rarely, it's just got great texture and payoff, if only all MAC shadows could say the same.

Hi Muse!
I just took a look at Sephora's new Moroccan Sunrise collection and I though that the orange shade in the new eyeshadow palette could be a great dupe for Firespot. Since I don't have Firespot, could you please do a side by side swatch and let me know what you think? Thanks!

hi lm!

It's a great palette isn't it :-D I haven't gotten it as of yet but will try to do a swatch for you in store soon.

I do think they colors are very different. Firepot is a tiny bit more pigmented however sephora's version is a nice lighter option!

hope this helps!
