Prescriptives Fall Dimensions Eye Color Quad Review

Prescriptives has my heart this season with it's new Fall Collection Daring. The entire collection is simply gorgeous but one item in particular I'd like take a moment to rave about is the new Fall Dimensions Eye Color Quad.

Wow.

Simply Wow.

Must have Fall makeup starts with this quad.

The quad consists of three flattering shades of yummie Fall colors and a rather oddball fourth color of blue! Have no fear the blue works! Promise!

I created two separate looks with the palette one of which was a very flattering brown smokey eye and the other was a dupe of from Prescriptives Urban Heat Collection! Hey, what can I say I'm still in Summer mode here! Sue me!

I wish I had created a third look for you duping the promo model's eye makeup but the Muse only has one face! I'll work on that third look soon.

The first look was creating by using three colors in the palette. How brilliant is that already? Three colors, a little mascara, and I'm looking smoking hot (well kinda...not really smoking but definately cute comes to mind!).

As I get older I find simplicity is the key to life, the universe, and everything (42 also happens to the key but that's probably another story for another day when I'm feeling more geeky to explain!) so reaching for one palette in the morning to create an elegant, mature, and fun look is a good thing for the Muse. Especially since mornings consist of the Muse running around like a chicken without a head.

The three colors I used in my first look were the base shade which is a matte creamy beige color, followed by a lighter lid shade of brown, and followed up with a contrasting shade of deep dark chocolate and finishing with the deeper chocolate shade as a liner. Add some mascara and I had a beautiful smokey brown look.

Aside from the lightest base shade in the palette each shade has a very fine grain of shimmer which is barely noticeable but does give a bit of a sparkle to your completed look! Very nice to say the least.

Now I got all happy when I originally seen the Urban Heat promo images and I can recall wanting to dupe that look and there in lays the inspiration for my second look!

The Muse's version of Urban Heat:

To create my look I simply used Bare Minerals Glimmer in the color Cervas on the inner lid of my eye and finished with some of the dark blue from my Perspectives Dimensions Eye Color Quad.

Pretty interesting isn't it? I'm feeling rather properly proud of myself! I really like how the blue contrasted with the gold and creates an exotic look to my eyes!

I realize I could have just lined the bottom lash line with the blue when I did my smokey brown look but I was feeling adventurous and wanted to use the bolder blue to create something completely different! Isn't that the fun of a palette? Creating multiply looks from four simple colors!

The texture of each shadow is silky and easy to blend and pigmentation is pretty good as well. Granted it's not as pigmented as say a MAC shadow would be but it's a different type of pigmentation that you're really not wanting a load of color on your eye to create simplicity and elegance. That's why I adored the palette so much.

The presentation of the packaging is extremely nice as well with it's quilted cover and quilted design on each shadow. Beautiful!

If you adore elegance, if you seek a beautiful Fall eye look, and if you love nudes and naturals don't hesitate picking one of these up!

Definitely a gorgeous palette to add to your Fall must have beauty list!

The Muse approves it in a major way! It's been a long time since a palette has captured my heart so quickly!

Three words: RUB IT IN!!! My wishlist has officially become a notebook which i'll be taking with me to David Jones on my next trip to Brisbane.

I'm totally loving your remix of Urban Heat and i CAN'T wait to get my hands on this pallette as i'm absolutely loving that blue!

Another item i'm desperately craving is Chanel's 'Les Tissages De Chanel Blushers'. I can't wait till it comes out here and i'll be pairing it up with my Chanel Inimitable mascara or even Dior's blackout! As the beauty counters get more exciting, my bank balance shrinks further :)

I really like both of these looks on you. You definitely make the colors work for you. I saw this quad a few days ago and just didn't feel all that excited about it, but I really like what you did with the blue.

Hi Izzy, love the Urban Heat Look! The touch of gold on your lower lids really opens up the eye! :)

One thing I might add; I notice your brows are really getting very neat of late. Esp in the Urban Heat Look, the arch is really lovely :)
