responding to your question as to what MJ products i got (in your mark shimmer bricks/cubes post)-i got the lash expander neo (although after reading your review kinda wish i'd gotten the old version), the big and small compact, a blush and 2 eyeshadows. haven't had a chance to test the mascara yet, but your blog is basically what turned me onto MJ and i'm hoping i'll love it since it's so affordable!

Me me me!!! I love MJ mascara. Its the only mascara that can make my lashes curl and it holds the curl whole day long! Doesn't smudge on me too. :) But I agree that it can only be removed completely with an oil-based makeup remover.

I bought the mj lash expander neo. I've never worn falsies before, so i cannot tell the difference. The brush takes some getting used to. My eyelashes pop with this. No racoon eyes and no breakage from the fiber extensions. Though it feels uncomfortable on my eyes, not that it's heavy but even if I don't see any particles in my eyes, I feel it. It's a pain to remove also. I have DHC cleansing oil and it removes my m/u wonderfully, but it has a tough time removing this mascara. reviews were true when they said to be prepared to lose eyelashes, cos I did manage to lose at least two when I wash it off. I found a better cleansing oil, and it's by kanebo. It just a bit more effort than a regular mascara.

Hey Jennifer!

The new version is good but I noticed for some reason I like the older version better! Maybe I'm imaging it but I really love the old formula!

Eyeshadows are very pigmented! I find the blush a little bit sheer for my tastes but everything else is the line is brilliant!

I hope you love it all!

Let me know when you get it ;)

thanks for your reply!

Hi Anonymous!

Thanks for your comment!

I know what you mean about it feeling slightly weird on the eyes. No smudging, raccoon eyes, or any problems aside from the weird feeling on the lashes! Maybe almost like something is "in" your eyes! if that makes sense :) But I know what you mean!

I haven't lost any lashes but I know people with smaller lashes or delicate ones might have a problem with this!

I normally use the Sephora Brand eye makeup remover and it comes up easily enough ;)

i use the old lash expander, havent got a chance to try out the neo version yet, will check it out soon though (am going HK in dec so maybe i can grab it there).

i love the mascara but i agree the DHC oil isnt great for removing it (despite all the rave reviews for DHC). i switched to a cleansing oil by Shiseido- some pink bottle and it seems to work better :) i think the fact tt it doesnt budge at all is worth the trouble in removing it though, its perfect for going out at night!

Hi absolution!

I love the old version! Lucky you! have fun in HK! I wish I was going ;)

I never tried DHC oil but I'm vaguely curious about it. I've been using Sephora brand oil base removed and it works great!

I find MJ comes off way faster and easier than Beatue de Kose Volumizing Mascara! That stuff is a nightmare to remove! I love it so much but it's so hard to get off!!!!!!!!

But, both, are great for a night out!
