Musings of a Muse: The Make-Up Routine
We all have certain ways and quirks of applying our makeup. What are some of yours? Do you apply concealer first and follow with foundation? Blusher before shadow? Shadow before blusher? Do you curl your lashes after mascara or before?

Although many of my friends swear to the gods that it's a good idea to always apply full eye makeup first, the Muse doesn't, nor does she understand how people accomplish this. Since I'm so hands on with my foundation/concealer the idea of applying a full shadow look before either strikes me as terribly out of order.
After SPF, moisturizer, eye cream, etc...this is how my makeup routine normally goes:
- Conceal under my eyes
- Conceal my lids ('ello Benefit Lemon Aid!)
- Prime my lids
- Apply my face primer
- Apply liquid or cream foundation
- Light dusting of powder sometimes but not always (depends how my skin is behaving)
- Apply shadow
- Curl lashes
- Apply mascara
- Apply blush
- Oops almost forget lipstick and gloss!
Done!

Im more blush and powder later, otherwise pretty much the same as u my darling muse;-)

I do my brows first because brow products adheres to brows better when they're dry and free of product. And I put on face primer right after that so when I'm doing my eyes, the primer can sink in while my hands are busy. By the time my shadow is done, I can slap foundation on right away!
If I'm doing a full face for the day, this is my essential routine after moisturizing/SPFing it up:
-Prime face
-Apply foundation
-Apply concealer everywhere but eyes
-Prime eyes
(Optional: Tightline)
-Apply shadow/liner
-Apply mascara, let dry
-Apply concealer under eyes
-Dust face with translucent powder
-Apply blush/highlighter
-Dust face with silica powder
-Apply lip balm
-Apply lip gloss or lipstick
If I'm doing a quickie face, this is how I go about after moisturization:
-Spot conceal on blemishes, under eyes and around nose
-Apply liner
-Apply mascara
-Apply blush
-Dust face with silica powder
-Apply lip balm or gloss
Optional: Prime eyes and quick wash lids with neutral eyeshadow/paint/shadestick
Primer
Concealer under and on eyelids
Concealer on spots
Foundation - cream or mineral
Blusher
Powder (sometimes)
Eyeshadow
Mascara
Lipgloss
I don't curl my lashes as they are quite long and they look silly if I do. Rarely wear lipstick.
oddly - I don't have a "routine"; I'm not sure why. I think part of the reason is beacause I'm not religious about putting on everything ever time. I mainly slap on some mascara and a gloss or lip tint. But if I'm getting "all done up", then I do all that you listed above, although not necessrily in the same order. I never thought of it as odd until I read your post and then realized it is a tad odd the way I do it. :-)

I love your layout! :) The way I apply my foundation, there is no way I can do my eyemake up first. This is what I usually do:
1. Apply moisturizer
2. Primer
3. Concealer
4. Foundation
5. Powder
6. Blush
7. Primer & Eyeshadow
8. Curl lashes
9. Mascara
10. Eyeliner
11. Lipstick/lipgloss

I apply all primers and carmax (lip Stuff) first,
then i apply all eye makeup excluding eyebrows and mascara.
I then apply concealer followed foundation.
I apply blush, bronzer and highlighter finished with a translucent powder and buff everything in.
Then brows and mascara.
Lastly lip liner, lipstick and gloss

I can't wrap my head around doing my fond and concealer after my shadow :D I tried one time and made a major mess lol!

If I'm doing a full-face, and if it's for the day (UV Primer) here's what I do right after I wash my face:
1. Tone, Moisturize, Eye cream, Lip balm
2. UV Primer
3. Foundation
4. Concealer
5. Loose powder
6. Blusher
7. Prime eyelids
8. Eyeshadow
9. Mascara
10. Lip gloss or lipstick
I need to moisturize my whole face (incl. eyes and lips) cos I have dry skin and it'll get irritated if I don't moisturize right away. I do my face first, then my eyes and lips. :)
Also, I don't really use a primer, per se, since my sunscreen is a primer or vice versa (dunno), but it looks great under makeup!
