Pop Beauty Lip Lust Review

Have you ever successfully completed a tube of lipstick? Am I the only one in the world that has the hardest time in the world using one up?

If you have this problem too you might be interested in trying out Pop Beauty's new Lip Lust Lipstick! These tiny tubes house a hydrating, moisturizing lipstick that's sheer and natural with a beautiful glossy finish.

I tested out Dewy Toffee which is a nude peach. The color gave me a beautiful, natural look that went beautifully with my MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Shimpange. I'm particularly smitten with the glossy finish on these and I love how they simply glide onto my lips not to mention give my lips much needed moisture on hot days.

The packaging is simply sweet! Since this isn't a full size lipstick you can easily slip it into your makeup bag for touch ups without taking a ton of room. The size makes it equally charming for the simple fact you can actually get through the entire tube where as with full size lipsticks I'm normally ditching them because I can't get through them within a year or two and by that time they are long since old, dry, gross, and germ ridden! If you're familiar with Lavshuca's Jewel Lips Mini the Pout Beauty Lip Lust is comparable in size to this.

All in all it's a rather great Summer lip stick as it offers a beautiful glossy finish plus plenty of moisturizing benefits to keep your lips shiny and hydrated in the hot sun!

The Muse digs it!

Check it out at Sephora!

Tried it?

Can you get through an entire tube of lipstick?

I so want to try these.
I need to visit a Sephora store.
I've never been a big Sephora fan because they don't carry MAC, but I really shouldn't hold that against them. I've been in an Ulta, but not a Sephora, and that's sad!

I've seen you and another beauty site review these lippies, and that's enough to make me want to try them!

Hope you're doing well, I think I sent you an email!

Aw, so cute and dinky and a gorgeous colour!
I seem to be ploughing through lipstick at an alarming rate at the moment, it's costing me a fortune!

In all the years I have worn lipstick, I have successfully managed to go through 3 tubes down where you are scraping the bottom. The 3 lipsticks were: Some Benfit lipstick that was out a while back..it was Shanghai something..I remember it was a bright, hot pink that sheer and amazing. Clinique Butter Shine lipstick in Berry Blush, and a really oldie from my "goth" days: Urban Decay Lipstick in UV-B which was sheer ice blue.holy

hey dd!

Have you seen the red color? I wants it! Looks nice!

Actually..this is a good thing...not going into a Sephora saves you money! Don't covert now. Once you go in there's no going back..it's scary in there....hide your wallet lol!

I'm good busy as hell but good ;) how about you? I have piles to get through email wise but as soon as I see yours I'll reply ;) MWAH!

I need to get me a quality blue lipstick again. Urban Decay used to make the best shades of blue..U-VB which I mentioned and Frostbite which was a dark, dark blue with silver glitter..oh to be utterly goth again lol.

I picked up Angels on Bare Skin from Lush, and a Haagenbath Bath Bomb for tomorrow night or sometime this weekend.

Since Lush is in the mall next to Sephora, I went in and checked it out. My husband apparently loved Urban Decay and said it was some of the best goth makeup he'd ever used (he's a San Francisco goth).

I checked out Pop Lust, because I thought I'd love Naughty Red. However, when I tried it out, it looks like a few other reds I have, so I opted not to purchase it. (Damn me trying to be all responsible with my spending!)

I checked out Amazing Graze and the husband hated the smell of it, so I told him to pick out something he thought smelled good. He decided that Guava Passion smelled divine, and I picked up that, as well as the matching body butter. I still may get a small thing of Amazing Grace to try it out.

Oh, and I've never made it through an entire tube of lipstick. However, I can go through MAC lipglass with no trouble :)

Thanks again for the suggestion on the Angels on Bare Skin. I'll let you know how it goes. I'm trying it out tonight.

These are so cute! I wish they had a lower price like the bourjois minis. But I'm a sucker for cute packaging, so I'll check it out next time I'm in Sephora.

The only lippie I've gotten most of the way through is L'Oreal Mica (don't laugh at my love for low end cosmetics!). That shade is perfect!

I bought this lipstick in the Fuschia color because NYLON magazine wrote a blurb about them saying how creamy they were and how they smelled like cherry popsicles. They do not smell like popsicles... more like well lipstick but the color and texture is awesome and I like the size of it and the design of the packaging. I have never finished a lipstick entirely but I have gone through many a tube o' lip gloss. In fact I just finished the last bit of my Money Honey dazzleglass and I shed a tear lol.

I have like 50 lippies - literally- that I keep rotating but my fave so far, and the one I cannot live without, is my tried and true Tricia Sawyer's "Clearly Pretty" lip gloss. It's a clear gloss that brings out your lip's true color. I wear one coat of it and my lips magically turn a beautifully, crushed raspberry red that lasts for hours.

hiya Decorative Diva!

Fantastic! =-) I have a tutorial on here if you need help working with angels on bare skin!

Sheesh I want a goth hubby! hehe! Too cool!

I haven't seen the naughty red in sephora yet but thanks for the tip off saves me a trip to go and swatch!

LOL ;) I try too!

I HATE the smell of amazing race too. Everyone swears by it but I just think it smells gross as hell! Too perfumey and cheap!

I can't do lipglasses either ;) Lipsticks and glosses I never get through or any other makeup for that matter. That's a sign I need to destash lol!

You're most welcome! Hope it works!

I should have told you before but I forgot....you could have asked for a sample of the angels and the ff as Lush is very nice about giving small samples. If you decide to try ff definately ask for a small sliver to try before buying :)

hi abby!
I didn't see the fuschia?! I want fuschia! Cherry? Are they daft? I didn't taste or smell anything! Although that sounds delightful but not true lol!
LOL! Aw! It would take me years to polish off gloss or lipstick..it's a sign I need to stop buying new colors and finish what I have :)

The size of these are ideal for that :)

Thanks for the comment!

Ah..I've never managed to finish any lipsticks before. I have about 50 lipsticks and glosses combined. Anyway the pop lip lust looks so kawaii! The sky blue packaging is lovely and easily to distinguish from a huge makeup bag.

Bad me I still can't resist lippies. 2 Lavshuca lippies are on the way to me as I'm typing :p
