Nordstrom Exclusive: Bare Minerals Carnevale Collection

Ahhh Bare Minerals continues the saga of overpriced cosmetics with it's newest Collection entitled Carnevale.

This particular collection is available as a Nordie's Exclusive but I'm positive we'll see some new spin on it and it'll pop up at Sephora with little, tiny differences.

I know I'm hating on BM/BE lately and it sounds like I don't like the products but that's just not the case at all. I actually love some of the items they have available but as of late I'm very disappointed in the prices. This particular set is $64 USD! I've come to expect more from BE for less but it's now reversed to "expect less and pay more".

This collection doesn't wow me but if you're interested have a CLICK!

The kit includes all of the following:
bareMinerals Warm Radiance All Over Face Color
bareMinerals Sangria Eye Color
bareMinerals Carnival Liner Shadow
bareMinerals Sun Kissed Blush
Glamour Lash Mascara in Black
Lipgloss in Harp
Tapered Blush Brush
Double Ended Shaping Brush

Want it?

Need it?

Ranting about the prices too?

It actually looks like a collection i'd be interested in. Being that it's also mineral makeup gives it a bonus as i'm dying to change all my makeup stuff that i use everyday to mineral ones and then the ones i collect can be anything as i don't use those often.

Having said that, i've heard bad reviews about them looking ashy including Bare Escentuals. Have you had this experience. Oh, have you tried anything from Jane Iredale's line?

I think i'm going to do down to my local spa/salon next month and check out the BE line. I'm loving the colours i see...

hey Allysia-May!

I don't normally use mineral makeup aside from shadows.

For me mineral makeup isn't great for dry skin it's also not too fab if your skin has an uneven texture. ie bumps, acne, etc...it just applies wrong with minor imperfections on my face. I hate it. Not only does it appear ashy but it sits on my skin like a mask :P

I haven't tried anything from JI although I've heard rave reviews :)

The shadows BE does are very good. Especially glimmers! Those are gorgeous and I have quite a stash of 'em ;)

Hey hun...i'm good thanks....just bulked down with prepping for exams so i'm slowly drifting into darkness..lol...

I guess mineral makeup isnt really for me then because i've got oily skin, bumps and pimples as well sometimes which is why i actually thought of changing my stash to mineral makeup as they say its better for the skin.

The few i tried were absolutely shit. With JI, i didn't really get my colour from their samples. I had to mix 2 different ones to get my skintone and i dont have time for stuff like that.

The next one i'm looking to try is Becca Cosmetics. If it doesn't live up to expectations then i'm done with MM.

ah I'm glad you're well darling :)

Oh lordie. When are classes breaking for Summer?

Mmm it is better I guess especially with SPF benefits but I have bumps and imperfections too and it feels wrong on my skin. You should try a cheap brand and see if it works for you. If you're oily then mineral foundation is most definately something that will help make your skin nice and matte. I've tried many brands including BE and I just can't love mineral makeup :(

Mixing to suit colors just blows!!!!!!! And I agree who has the time!?

Becca isn't a fav of mine but you never know it might be something you love. Physicians formula now has a line of minerals and if anything I'd lay bets that would good as they make a damn great inexpensive line!

If you need help getting it give a yell!
