Goldie Disney Collection

I've never been entirely sure if Goldie is distributed by Bath and Body Works, or labeled and owned by Bath and Body Works.

The packaging is ultra cute and girlish and every single time I'm in Bath and Body Works I always wonder over to the display to look at the items they have.

For some odd reason or another I've never purchased any of it. Maybe I've been burned too many times with cute items that don't work which accounts for me not shelling out the bucks for some of the goods!

I've no idea really why it's never ended up in my cart. Even during the semi-annual when they are giving stuff away for practically free none of the Goldie line makes it's way into my cart!

Anyway!

The moral of today's story is Goldie has some rather cute exclusive items out that are Disney themed! So if you happen to adore Tinkerbell or Alice and Wonderland you might want to check out some of Goldie's new line at Bath and Body Works!

Some of the items are a bit too childish to appreciate but some are redeemable and usable if you fancy Disney!

I've no idea on the quality of these cosmetics but I think it's safe to say it's cute packaging alone minus good content. But I could be wrong! You never know! My prediction is they'll end up on sale at the end of Spring or Summer for 2 for $5 or some other obscenely low price! Count the Muse a skeptic! Even cute can't sway me sometimes!

The Tinkerbelle Collection consists of the following items:

Tinkerbell Beauty Box $25 USD (Includes 5 Lipcreams and 4 eyeshadows)

Tinkerbell Lip and Nail Kit $30 USD (Includes Makeup Bag, Lipgloss, and Nail Varnish)

Tinker Bell Shimmer Powder Box $22 USD

Tinkerbell Nail Varnish $8 USD (Available in 4 shades)

Tinker Bell Shimmering Lipgloss $10 USD (Available in 4 Shades)

The Alice in Wonderland Collection consists of:

Alice in Wonderland Tinited Lip Balm $12 USD (Available in 4 Shades)

Alice in Wonderland Lipgloss $10 USD (Available in 9 Shades)

Alice in Wonderland Lip Condition $15 USD (3 Shades Available)

Alice in Wonderland Vanity Face Palette $35 USD (Includes 20 items to make up face, lips, and eyes!)

Alice in Wonderland Nail Varnish $7 USD (7 Shades Available)

Alice in Wonderland Lip Palette $15 USD

Those are cute, Muse! Goldie was created by the people who used to own Hard Candy (before they sold out). I had a Goldie lip gloss that was pretty good, but I never tried anything more from the line. These items look tempting though!

hey nic nic! It is kinda cute isn't it?

SHEESH did I misread? I thought you had mentioned Vday! Duh!

LOL it's ok if it's late ;) we don't need one day a year to tell our loved ones we love 'em right? We do that everyday ;)

I guess it does but my heart always hurts from it. I was hoping for Spring. I have lots going at work but as soon as I clear that I'm looking forward to a nice long break and sometime together!

Fancy some shopping while I'm over? ;)

Hi Musey,

I was going to let you know that Goldie was done by Dineh Mojaver (sp?) who used to do Hard Candy but Taryn beat me to it. :)

I have the Golide Alice In Wonderland Tinted Lip Balms in Crouquet and Bauble and they are superb! (I also adore The Cheshire Cat though so I was biased). :P
They have a fantastic texture and smell very lightly of cookie batter to me- not overpowering or fake in anyway, but just light and yummy. They are great!

I also have some other Goldie non-Disney lip glosses- the clear one called Clean Sheets and one called Naked (YLBB). Both are also great in texture, nice and shiny, good pigment for the colored one. Smells nice, etc. Good stuff. Often times the Goldie glosses are 2 for $7 but I know a girl at BBW & got 2 for $5 once.

Great post. ;)

Sincerely,
Sarah

Well, I caved and bought a few Fafi items and I'm sure I will get some Heatherette, too. I may also have a Laneige palette in the works. Other than that, I have to try and keep myself under control for now. I'm going to California in March and my sister-in-law is taking me to some new cosmetics store out there plus we're going to Japantown and I heard they have a Japanese beauty store there!

And, I'm in the midst of selling off a load of stuff on Specktra.net. I really want to pare down and just use the things I love. I totally got suckered by some of the MAC LE lines and the other stuff just wasn't getting used!

Don't you wish you could buy tiny little minis of cosmetic products? It'd be so nice to be able to actually use something up instead of re-homing it!

Hey Taryn!

I missed the Fafi event so I'm waiting until the official release to venture in and grab some bits!
Oooo which palette?

YAY Can I come please?

I need to pare down myself and have a box load of stuff but I haven't had time to list it.

Tiny little mini amounts of cosmetics would be brilliant as I never use everything fully!

I'm fully tempted by all the Japanese line ups and I'm worried summer will be a whole load of new crap!

Lord!

I need to become a millionaire!

True. It appears she's wearing blue eyeshadow lol!

The Alice in Wonderland I actually kinda liked but really none of it is in my cart.

Think I can safely skip :)

hey muse!!

*hyperventilates a little*
this is soooo cute~
tho... ive to say that e tinkerbell on the nail varnish bottle looks a lil fake. hmmm.

-returns to normal breathing-
ive nv seen them in spore tho. sighsigh.

oh anw, yups, i curl before application but sometimes it'll still clump. but MJ mascara is still my HG! my friends are convinced that i went to perm my eyelashes (!?) after ive started to use it.

perming eyelashes sounds freaking scary.

OHHHHH. i saw e KATE line in thailand last wk! actually, i think it's available in spore too, but my friend tells me that the mascaras and the mascara base is always out of stock. hmm.
i bought one of their eyeshadows and the eyebrow powder from hk. pretty stuff!

but still, im determined (I HOPE!) to finish my MJ mascara before buying new ones. cos ive got 2 new tubes of fasio ones that i havent tried T.T and plenty of maybelline and loreal mascaras lying around.

but im itching to try the KATE one now!
hehehe.

*hugs*

I loved the Alice in Wonderland collection, but I'm not too crazy about what they did to Tinkerbell; they turned her into 'Tinkerwhore'! Why is she wearing that much makeup?!? To impress Peter? Tsk, tsk, Tink! You know he's not into chicks!

As for the stuff inside the packaging: the nail polishes are too sheer and crappy to have come from the makers of Hard Candy, but I've tried the other products and everything else checks out. The tinted moisturizers are great, the cream eye shadows and lipsticks are nice, if a bit too sheer (noticing a pattern here?), the powder eye shadows are nicely pigmented but prone to crumbling. Almost every product in the line runs a bit sheer and while I'm sure that you could find something similar at the drugstore, the packaging itself is quite nostalgic and unique. It all seems to be targeted towards a younger crowd, which might explain the relatively sheerness of it all; this makes perfect sense, as marketing to youth is behind the success of Mohajer's previous brand, Hard Candy.

I would consider buying the uselessly small Alice compact mirror and nail polishes just to display them on my vanity. I'm not touching the tarted-up Tinkerbell collection, though. And neither will Tinkerbell, for that matter.

wen! What is up chick? You've been a stranger far too long :) Been ages since you commented!

Welcome back!

LOL! The cute has a way of making me pant and drool too!

I wasn't liking Tink too much myself!

Unfortunately BBW isn't available in 'pore :( So sad as you guys would love all they carry! I know sometimes they do Sprees on Cozy for ordering! You should see if you can get in on one ;)

wahoo!

I must say the new Lash Enamel/Extender is EXCELLENT so you might wanna check it out as it's a lighter formula then the old one! It's very natural. You guys get such hot, humid weather must be difficult to get a good HG mascara :(

Do try the new formula and see what you think! it feels very natural and no clumping that I experienced!

LOL! That's awesome =) I get alot of comments asking if I have falsies on!

Permning eyelashes..Hmm..lol! I get images of curly lashes a la Shu 's Tokyo Lash Bar Collection hehe!

You were in Thailand and you didn't bring the Muse with you? *sniff* everyone is going to awesome exotic places without me!

hehe!

KATE normally imports to singapore I think. The mascara base isn't so fab. Too many fibers :( It's alright but not something you absolutely have to have unless you love fiber!

Don't get the new KATE gel mascara as it isn't as great as I wanted it to be but the old one is rather awesome if you locate it!

I'll be featuring the Spring Line up for KATE soon! They have some awesome stuff out right now!

I don't particularly love fasio! I rotate a ton of mascara myself at a time. Ugh. KISS, MJ, KATE, etc...so bad!

hehehe I'll tempt you with the KATE mascara...must buy wen must buy....!

=)

Love ya!

Mandy my little Pandy where have you been!

The Muse, the Cookie, and many others miss you!

LOL I agree they really destroyed tink! She looks like Fabio on the cover of an old 80's romance novel!

So scary with the blue eyeshadow!

You've ruined my childhood by telling me Peter doesn't like chicks..my god.

Thanks for the mini review on the products. Obviously now it's most definately not making a way into my cart. It's actually too cute for me if that's even possible!

It doesn't even remotely stir a lem. It's cute but sometime is missing to make me want it or die.

Get 'em during the semi annual. By then they'll be 50 cents or something strangely low amount lol!

LOL Tinkerbell is running around getting her lawyers ready to sue BBW!
