Musings of the Day: Your Skin, What's On It?

I'm always curious what works for people in regards to skin care! Today's Musings is all about skincare.

What do you use on your skin?

Share it and skip below for my answer!

You already know this answer, Lush. About 98% of my skincare is made up of Lush. Toner, Cleansers, Moisturizers, Etc.....all of it is Lush. I used to be a Philosophy girl but after discovering Lush I've stuck with it for about 8 or 9 years (maybe more?!) now. Or just works for me and that's what skincare is all about. Something that works well and keeps you looking your best!

So what's your skincare?

Tell the Muse!

I stick to a tried, tested and beloved combination of products from DHC and Paula Begoun. Yes, I know the cosmetics cop is a beauty killjoy and tries to take the fun out of beauty but there's a lot of sense lingering under her harsh words and for someone with oily skin, her BHA products and skincare line is lifesaver in an ocean of mediocre products. I don't spend a lot on skincare so what I saves goes to more make-up! Now if I could just find a sunscreen that didn't make me come out in a prickly heat rash.....

i'm all about Body Shop! I love their Tea Tree Oil line. I love Lush and St. Ives also, but Body Shop is my number one right now!

I would love to try LUSH but it isn't available here DX

Anyway, I use mainly homemade stuff (olive oil, rosewater, eggs, stuff like that XD) with a dash of Eucerin (moisturizer, serum). Works well for me, and I have been sticking with it for more than two years. :D

I mix it up. I use Philosophy, Clinique, Lush, and Murad for skincare. Each has a personal HG item that I can't live without. But I think I want to slowly change to all Murad products because the few things I have from them have done wonders for my skin. I have just started getting into Lush and I love it all. There is a new Lush store at the mall I frequent so I am still getting introduced into some of their things. But I am loving it all sofar!

A mixture of things from Neal's Yard, Liz Earle and now Korres. The improvement in my skin since I've gone to Neal's Yard is amazing, cutting the crap from the ingredients has made such a difference, I heart it big time!

I use Olay moisturizers, my skin tends to love it and it does not make my skin look worse. M Lab, if not so expensive, is another choice for sure.

My VERY oily/breakout-prone skin is far from perfect, but I seem to have found two cleansers that seem to keep it somewhat in check: Bliss Clog-Dissolving Cleanser and Korres Thyme and Sage Cleanser. I've also been using the Korres Clay Mask for troubled skin and I like the results so far. I also use prescription topical creams as well as the Body's Shops tea tree oil. For daily moisturizer I've been using Olay Definity with SPF 15 and I really like it. I'd like something with a higher SPF, though. Supposedly one good thing about my oil-slick skin (and I'm in my 30s!) is that I might have fewer wrinkles when I get older. Most people think I'm still in my mid-20s when they meet me so maybe all this oil isn't a bad thing, LOL!

I use Lush Angels on Bare Skin, Garnier Skin Naturals Fresh toner, and an Olay moisturizer I can't remember the name of. And once a week, I use an Avon peel-off mask, and the St. Ives apricot scrub. My skin is the softest it's been in a long time!

Hello oh Goddess of Glam
Guru of Makeup Voodoo
Maven of the Made Up...

Your site is totally lush, brilliant, I'm addicted! That and we share a passion for all things anglo and rawr! the 10th Doctor, which makes it all the more fun!

I use Mario Badescu currently, you could solve the world's oil crisis by refining my t-zone so I think I've tried everything under the sun and moon both. I'm becoming a lushie though, and if it's all its promised I can see myself becoming addicted to that too. I know you deal with dry skin yourself, but any recommends other lines great for oily skin that likes to breakout given half a chance?

hello k8lyn

LOL why thank you! I feel quite chuffed today after reading your comment!

Hells yes :-D Bring me my Doctor ;-D hehe!

I don't sadly have many good recs for skincare as I've been a lush girl for a long while now. I'd seriously try converting to lush. Herbalism is supposed to be the cure all end all for oily skin that breaks out :-D Hope this helps my dear!

Thanks for the awesome comment, made my day!
