Treats from Row
After getting back from the airport this morning, prior to heading to work, I hopped in the shower, got dressed, and sat down to sort mail!
Much to my surprise and delight a little parcel from England was in with the lot of boring bills, catalogs, and other garbage mail!
Hmmm what could this be!?
Tearing it open out poured a ton of great things! Lush soaps, Soap and Glory Lipgloss, Molton Brown Lotion, sweets, and much more!
Oh my it felt like Christmas!
I was particularly fixated on the rather large chunk of Lily Savon soap I was holding in my hand as I've been dying to try it and haven't yet! It smelled so good that I held it to my nose during the duration of reading the card and letter tucked into the parcel!
Turns out my beautiful goodies was thanks to my most lovely mate Rowene.
So this is a HUGE thank you to a very gorgeous friend for making my day brighter when jet lag was setting in!
Your thoughtfulness totally made me happy!
I'm utterly chuffed to have great pieces of Lush Miranda and Lily Savon gracing my shower! I was so eager to use Lily Savon that I ended up washing my hands with it just so I could try it! I'm a big fan of Miranda and haven't had any around in a good long while as mailorder UK has a knack for being out of stock everytime I order!
One item that happens to not be in the pic is the Boots Eye Gel she sent which is now totally rocking my world for depuffing my tired eyes today! I'll be reviewing the lipgloss (been wanting to try Soap and Glory for AGESSSSSSSSSS), the soaps, and the eye gel very soon!
The card from Rows that's gracing my fridge door! How cute!
The Curly Wurly soon disappeared after this pic! Both actually...and a little bit after that the Black Jack made an exit as well! My tummie is in heaven as I haven't had a Curly Wurly in a good long while!
Sadly the sweets that the Muse sent to Row have been gobbled down by Row's evil boyfriend! ;)
Thanks Rows! I'm lucky to have such a great mate like you! You sincerely made my day with your sweetness!

Ugh! British candy! I remember receiving a candy sampler from across the pond. I recall biting into an Aero bar and nearly chomping off half of my cheek; that @$%@#$ is full of air!!! Then there's the Crunchie; that candy is just plain wrong.
I wish I'd read Brunching Shuttlecocks review before I dug in:

The Curly-Wurly, however, sounds tasty. What pray tell, is in it?
PS: The sell Soap & Glory at Tar-jay too, at pretty reasonable prices (along w/ Boots products). Why not have a shufti at your local Target?
hey mandy :) Hugs darling!
I love Aerobars :) hehe! I'm not a big fan of the crunchie bar myself either. I love the Cadbury Roses box! God those are SO evil and yum! It's a sampler of everything!
LOL great review ;)
Curly Wurlies are basically chocolate covered caramel! It's yummie! It could be a fav of mine aside from Dairy Milks!
I haven't been to target in ages and ages and I've been meaning to go since I heard about Soap and Glory popping up our end! How's the prices on the Soap and Glory bits?
I find the Boots terrible in Target in comparison to UK side! Dunno why either as it appears they are importing it directly!
Wanna come shopping? We can stock up on Jones Soda at Target too as if we aren't hyper enough!
Woahhh woahhh, MandyPandy are you dissing Crunchie Bars! Shame on you! They are delicious dipped into a cup of sugary tea!
And deep fried mars bars, yummm.
*Pinches significantly more than an inch*
Actually, Soap and Glory is very reasonably priced and the holidays brought about a S&G giftset. I've heard only good things about S&G, so it's worth a look.
Yes, I also find the Boots products to be somewhat lacking; Row did a great review on a new Boots cleanser and while I really hope it arrives Stateside soon, I won't hold my breath.
If you do stop by Target anytime soon, might I suggest: 1) the Sonia Kashuk Arch Alert Eyebrow palette and 2) Maybelline's Mineral Powder Liquid Foundation? Actually, don't go to Target; get the foundation from a drugstore that has sample testers. I'll actually be reviewing these products shortly, and they're both HG status.
Uh Oh Rows is gonna kick your arse for dissing on English sweets Mandy!
Get her Rows! I'll hold her down!
Deep fried mars bars? What the hell? That's very southern of you!
I'm gonna start calling you Britney Spears ;)
Hell I can pinch alot more then an inch!
You're a little slip of a girl ;)
hey manddddddy!
Ohh goodies! Now I wanna go to target..hmmm I might do so tonight!
AMEN! Someone that agrees that Boots blows in the US! I find it completely different from UK bits! She sent me this rather awesome eye gel that I love..wonder if we get it at Target and if it's as good?!?!
Erika from makeup bag swears by those makeup remover wipes from Boots! I've wanted to try these for ages since hearing about the ravings! I normally use the MAC one's on the days that I'm being lazy but I find they sting a bit!
Anyway, off topic there!
LOL nice list lady! I was actually look at the Mineral Powder Liquid Foundation! It's good?!
Do do do review as I wanna read about 'em ;)
No, Boots US sucks, but at this point, it's all we've got. I wish Target would realize that Boots won't take off with such mediocre and paltry offerings.
I've tried the Boots makeup wipes; they're okay. They do sting a little (most makeup wipes do), but they've got nothing on MAC's (then again, MAC's are the only ones that don't sting my super-sens. skin, so my skin might just be haywire). MAC's take everything off!
Liquid Mineral Power, in my experience, is the best drugstore foundation out there (I've tried my fair share); the packaging, formulation, shade-selection and testers are all amazing. The best thing about is it's not even mineral makeup (but I expect that of all drugstore 'mineral makeup').
Yeah, as if you read my reviews! You've been too busy gadding about San Francisco with that floozy, Steve Jobs. *sobs* Oh Izzy, I don't even know you anymore!
And deep-fried Mars bars are Northern, straight outta Scotland. Hot men, hot accents and hot-ass snacks! *sigh*
Here in the US, we tend to deep-fry disgusting things like Twinkies and Oreo cookies, down South. Hell, they even deep-fry their Turkeys, so deep frying their deserts is just the next logical step for Thanksgiving.
hi MandyPandy!
Iz late replyin'!
I find good boots buys on E-bay UK for now!
Oh lukewarm review for the Boots. That's good b/c I was about to indulge and really hate dishing out a few bucks for something that's going to sit and waste on my washroom counter. I'll stick to MAC plus they are cheap as day old chips and super saturated!
I have to be honest I'm not much of a foundation wearing at all. I normally use my Morgen Schick Hide and Highlight and never do a full foundation. Normally I get a swipe on each side of my nose, on either side of my chin, and across my upper lip line as the skin is dull there for some reason! And that's it. So I'm not sure of the mineral makeup would work well for me!
Curious minds though!
I must say I'm also the biggest snot ever with drugstore quality US side. I feel it's a waste of cash so I rarely venture into the cosmetics section on a trip to the drugstore!
LOL Jobs is my King! I bow low ;) He's also a rather nice kinda guy hehe!
I'd totally leave you laying on the floor as I step over your body to get to Jobs! LOL!
I'm sorry but I stick by deep fried anything as being very southern britney food!
I wouldn't touch deep fried anything with a ten foot pole hehe! I've seen deep fried pickles in NeW Orleans! That's some WEIRD ASS SH*T!
Who does that to a poor pickle!?
Hot me? Scottish? The good doctor does come to mind! Let's hope Lucy isn't reading this!
Deep frying just scares the beegees outta me. I can't even venture into a KFC!
I'm so scared hold me.
