Benefit Erase Paste

Oh ya baby I'm spinning the wheel of chance again and I'm ordering me some Erase Paste from Benefit!

As you know from my past posts I have a love-hate relationship with Benefit! Some of the products are absolute essential items during my day to day cosmetic application and some items are just plain rubbish!

However, I'll make an exception on the hate part of my relationship and introduce you to Benefit's new fix all entitled Erase Paste! Yes, indeed I ordered this little guy all for myself! I'm a big supporter and fan of Benefit Boi-ing and at one point it was my Holy Grail, cure all, I can't live without it undereye concealer of choice! It still is in some aspects but my eye area is growing a tad bit dry and older so I need a bit more to hold myself together lately. Erase Paste sounds sincerely promising and I'm just hoping by some chance it's just as good and or maybe even better then Boi-ing!

This is a multitasking concealer that can be used undereyes and on your face! I'm personally purchasing it to use under my eye area and I'm so hopeful it'll be a moisturizing concealer! I've found that Benefit excels at making some really good fix its such as Boi-ing, Lemon Aid, and Eye Bright!

Some of you may be a bit put off by the fact that it comes in a jar. The potential for germs and other fine bacteria is definately there but it does come with a spatula so your hands and fingers aren't digging around in the pot. I'm anal so this doesn't thrill me and giving me a plastic spatula for application still doesn't sway my opinion that this could have been put into a tube of some sort! That goes for Boi-ing too by the way! So if you're listening Benefit less compact and jars and more tube!

Since I don't need an entire face of foundation I'm looking forward to trying this out under my eyes and on my t-zone to brighten myself up a bit minus the chore of foundation!

Of course, as with all Benefit products, this promises the world in a cute jar! Whether or not it actually works and rocks my world remains to be seen!

L@@K! Easy as 1-2-3! And you're perfect! It's that simple......we'll see about that!

This is $29 USD and you can nab it now with Free Shipping using code BRIGHTEN. I've been burned before by Benefit but I'm hopeful that this might be a bloody great product! If it falls into the GREAT catagory I won't mind the least bit shelling out $29 bucks but if not you may hear my loud mouth ranting about my lost $29!

I'll be reviewing it as soon as I get it of course!

Want it?

Curious?

Already have it?

I've actually tried Benefit's 'Boing' concealer and was very impressed with the texture and the coverage (and the price, which, at $18 is affordable when compared with other Benefit products). The only downside to Boing was the color selection and the fact that it was so irritating to my sensitive skin. Instead of coming out with a whole new product with an equally dismal shade selection and at a higher price ($26!), couldn't the folks at Benefit have come out with 3 more shades for the existing Boing line? The whole thing smells of Jedi Mind-trickery.

As for the packaging, given the texture and amount of pigmentation in the Boing concealer, I think it would have proven tricky to package it in a tube (which, given the .1 oz weight of the concealer, would have been disappointingly tiny). I actually prefer the compact packaging of Boing; it's simple and convenient for me.

Erase Paste on the other hand seems like it would do better in a tube than tub. But then, the folks at Benefit might not be able to charge such a tidy sum without the more impressive packaging. Either way, I bet anything that Erase Paste comes in a teeny, tiny jar.

That said, I'm still dying to try it.

Oh yes, and Eye Bright rules!

Which are your favorite Benefit products? The only one I constantly use is Georgia powder, though I have a few other things by them that I like.

I'm going to wait for your review on this one and then possibly try it out!

All the Benefit concealers/bases I've tried are too greasy. maybe it's because the girls at the counter seem to think that I'll see the results better if they apply tons of it...

I'll have to go it try it by myself (and the Throoooob blush).

I have something reminding me of this product but from Pure Luxe. Eraser-something or other. I haven't really put it to the test, but I keep telling myself I will. Soon.

hey millie!

ACK! New lemming! I honestly skipped out completely on Coffret D'or as I'm such a T'estimo fan I was somewhat disappointed in what was released but you've created a yearning for me hehehe!

I think I'll get them! I've wanted to try one of the palettes for a while now. Any suggestions for color selection? Also are they as shimmery as the T'estimo palettes?

To be honest some of the new base makeup caught my eye so I may indulge in the palettes too when I purchase the base makeup I want ;)

Thanks Millie! You are officially dubbed evil by the Muse for creating a lemming ;)
hehe!

hi Lydia!

Doesn't it!?! I normally don't have much probs undereye but every since I turned 30 it's been kinda downhill! Dark Circles, Dryness, and a sorta sunken in look. I have to conceal in a major way to cover up the flaws!

I ordered it yesterday so should arrive soonish :) Can't wait to review for you guys!

Aw thanks! Glad you love my blog!

Hugs!

Hey Mandy!

I am too. All of the above you mentioned I definately concur with. I find Boi-ing to be very moisturizing as well which a majority of concealers lack!

I honestly didn't have a prob with the colors as the lightest worked a treat for me but I would be bitching if I was Asian as I don't think any of the shades work well.

I gotta admit I am excited about this. I definately feel your pain about the lack of colors but this seems like great coverage!

It would be it's awful gross to stick my hand into it daily and worry about what's growing inside soon after ya know?

I'm positive the jar is extremely small but I'm hopeful not. I purposely refrained from looking at the size so that I might be either disappointed and delighted at the size when it arrives :)

And of course you'll give over and join me on the dark size to try it ;)

Hi Hana!

My favorites are...mmm...boi-ing, lemon aid, dandelion, playsticks in jax, get even powder, and show offs in curtain call :)

I like georgia myself but it's not my favorite of their powders!

I can't wait to try it and review it for you guys!

Hugs!

hi PaoPao!

That's interesting. I think that boi-ing, for instance, is very moisturizing which would definately give a consistency of a greasy feel. If you're skin is dry you can appreciate it much better ;)

I've never tried any of the foundations but I have tried the get even powder which I love!

I love throoooooooooooooooooob =) So lovely!

hi Anonymous!

you mean the bobbi brown collection right? I did a review on the entire collection if you search my blog or click on the pull down menu in "spring collections". Mountains of info in the review. I reviewed the shadows as being matte in the palette that includes fog.

Hope that helps! The review says it all ;)

I thought of the Pure Luxe eraser at first, too, but I don't think they're similar at all. The PL is basically a pinky-toned silicone-based cream that is used to "erase" pores (and didn't do that well for me, IMO). It's not a concealer.

Muse, I wouldn't worry about microbes. Benefit puts so many parabens in their products that your concealer will be pickled for years to come. :P

hi bliss!

This is brand new ;) Just released!

I'm not sure if it works better then lemon aid. Normally I use lemon aid on my lid and not on my undereye area. Boi-ing works amazing on undereye circles in my opinion ;)

hey muse,
i don't thinke the CD e/s are as shimmery as the T'estimo ones, there's not really that "i know you're wearing eyeshadow" look, it seems more natural when you use it, while as the t'estimo one seems to be more obvious. but i guess it depends how dramatic or subtle you want it. so far i only have the 01 pink one, but i'm planning to buy more when i go to Hong Kong in May. I'm looking forward to your reviews of the base makeup when it comes out ^__^

hey d!

LOL I'm having a hard time forgiving them too sigh!

My heart is broken! I don't know why I haven't ventured into the Coffret D'or boat as of yet but I just haven't been tempted. I am now lemming since Millie raved though!

Dunno why I haven't gotten any! They only cost like $29 bucks retail...it's not like it's a ton of $! Hmm! Other stuff came first but I definately want to give at least one a whirl! I think I didn't want to be addicted to another japanese brand!

Hmm, i'm interested yet skeptical of Benefit. I haven't been impressed with the samples of their stuff i've tried so i'm awaiting your judgement on this. I'm also wondering why they made only 3 shades; they could have extended on their shade range. If it's good i might go to the next town and see if the darkest shade would suit my skin.

Okey, I will try it. It is a creamy paste, thicker than gel.
Can't try it right now. I have the flu of the century and can hardly breath. I feel very sorry for myself...

Well, I'll be back with a report, sooner or later...

hey Allysia-May!

First off I owe you an email! I'll reply soonish! Been swamped!

I am too. Benefit is a hit or miss for me and I'm very hopeful this is a hit!

I'm chuffed b/c the lightest shade will most definately work for me but I must say the lack of colors can be somewhat crummy. Especially if you're a darker skin tone as the one shade they do have for a darker shade appears to be kinda leaning towards a medium darker skin what if you're a deeper skin tone!? Sucks :(

The darkest shades seems suitable for a chocolate skin tone. If you fit into the groove it should be flattering but don't buy it yet. Wait to see how I like mine. Seems a waste to kick the cash out for it if it's crap. It's only $26 usd here but I'm betting it's twice as much in the uk!

Thanks for comment lovie!

Don't say that! I wish I was best in school hehehe :)

*tries to revive you as you lay gasping for breath* hehe!

Keep kicking keep kicking :) You will survive ;)

Oh that's a good little kit! It has everything awesome that Benefit actually does well!

You aren't whiny :) It's tough being a student believe me I know been there ;)

The boi-ing should cover you up nicely and the lemon aid will make your lids look refreshed and gorgeous :)

I never tried o la la lift. But I heard it isn't so great plus you're young so you don't need it but everything else in the kit is awesome! The plumping lip base is great! I use it. and high beam is nice as well it gives a gorgeous highly to cheekbones! And of course I'm a big lover of both lemon aid and bo-ing ;)

It's quite a good price b/c you can test out one of everything and not pay $30 a piece but one set price of $30 and get it all ;-)

Definitely a cute kit!

Hope this helps!

Love ya!
Don't study or work too hard ;)
