Bubblegum Pink

I find myself completely fascinated with Bubblegum Pink glosses and lipsticks as of late!

It all started after seeing an FOTD of Lancome's Seashell on Vanessa's lips over at Nessasary Makeup! Seashell has popped up on everyone's blog as of late including our lovely little cookie, Lilan, from the Daily Cookie who I believe the Seashell craze originated from! Lilan is busy converting the blogging community to the delights of Seashell! Thanks Miss Cookie we love you for it!

Now your Muse normally stays away from Bubblegum Pinks because they aren't so flattering on my very full face but nothing could keep me from purchasing two shades of bubblegum pink this season! The new Dior gloss plus the Lancome Seashell has started me on a downward spiral of collecting as many flattering shades of pop pink as I possibly can!

I found myself falling deeper in love with such a silly shade of pink when I noticed Yoon Eun-Hye wearing it in her Joinis promo images! You probably already have heard that Yoon Eun-Hye has replaced Kim Hee-Seon as the new face for Joinis. I came across some of her promo images and I just fell in love with Bubblegum Pink all over again!

As you can see in the photos below she's wearing a lovely mod pink which definately wouldn't work on me but it's cute none the less and has since changed my mind about lighter pinks!

I'll be doing some FOTD's using different pinks very soon so do keep your eyes peeled!

Loving all this pink?

Got some pinks you can recommend the Muse?

Tell me!

that gloss looks super yummy! Unfortunately there is no way in hell I can pull of a bright pink like that I'm just going to have to stick to my beigey nudes:/

She's so pretty!!! I love her in Princess Hours (Goong) and I love her more in Coffee Prince!!!

Anyways, glad to see that u're up and about again!!! =D

The comments at the K drama post was getting a little too long so I thought I'd post it here... so here I go...

I watched Witch You Hee about a few months back, just before I started on Coffee Prince. It's really nice and worth watching but I didn't re-watch it at all. Don't we always rush through the whole show, wanting to know the whole story and yearn to know the ending like crazy? But when the ending comes, we feel a tinge of sadness because its like the show is done already and we have to bid farewell to the characters that we have come to familiarize ourselves with? I usually can't bear to part with the drama after watching the ending. So what I do is re-watch it several times until I get so sick of it and stop watching it. I re-watched Coffee Prince TONS of time but I didn't re-watch Witch You Hee. My mother on the other hand preferred Witch You Hee to Coffee Prince probably because she found the typical storyline in Coffee Prince to be faarrrr too cliche. She says Coffee Prince suits the taste of young sweet things who have yet seen the world and love getting deluded. That's plain evil because she's saying that i, HER VERY OWN BIOLOGICAL DAUGHTER, is naive. And my peers thought I was too old for my age! Hmmph!

By any chance, do you know if the Givenchy purplish pink blush will come to Singapore? Or will it only be a Japan exclusive thing? Because that happened to be the only thing I wanted to get from the collection. I like to collect their casings because the Givenchy logo has different "fillings" each time. I loved the lace one the most (the winter collection in 2006) until this denim one came along! And the rest of the colours in the collection are common to me except the purpish pink blush. Now thats something fresh! And I saw pictures, they look kinda shimmery too! I'm not a blush user (most of my blushes just sit there for eye candy's sake) because I blush easily but I so want to get that colour as it looks so special!!! Even though, like what you said, we probably wont even use it.

Love to see u back!!! Please stay healthy, alive and kicking! LOVE YA! MUACKZ!

Hi Cosine!

She's gorgeous! Very cute ;) I lovedddddddddddddddddddd her in Princess Hours! And all her funky clothes in the drama were so cute! I love the the bell short gown she wore with the black hair and gloves! So cute!

I'm slowly feeling myself again!

LOL I'm glad you posted here as it's easier for me to see it ;)

As per your rec I have ordered SOS and I'm eager to watch it!

I was debating on Witch for a while now and I'm still unsure! I was slightly confused as I originally thought this was starring Lee Da Hae so I was ready to purchase it right away!

LOL YES! Always! I always rush through it and rewatch it later :) It's standard to rush through because we are so wanting to see the happily ever after ;)

200% agreement! I always feel so sad at the end bidding all the characters farewell! It saddens me!

I normally wait a year before rewatching because it kinda of sweetens it up and I forget it for a while so it's like watching it for the first time!

LOL My friend Choi said the same exact thing about Coffee Prince. She's 35 and I'm 30 but it appears she's become jaded with the romantic world ;) Her exact words were that Coffee Prince was for the younger girls ;) Hey! I'm not younger and I loved it and squealed over it!

LOL I'm sure your mum didn't mean you were acting below your age ;) Some folk just aren't as romantic as us :)

I'm not sure if it will but I do normally notice that the Japan Givenchy releases normally get released in 'pore as well! Have you asked Iris? She may know for sure ;)

I'm the very same way! Twins :) I like th fillings as well and the different cases!

I liked the lace as well but I'm really in love with the foiling on the Arty Case!

Aside from the blush I agree the rest of the casing don't really stand out as well!

I must say that the blush does look very special and I've been fighting with myself about whether to get it or not. It looks so pretty and interesting!

Aw thanks! It's good to be back! Thanks for leaving such awesome, cheery comments! I really enjoy our chats ;)

Love ya back!

*MWAHHHHHHH*

Hugs!

I really hope that u'll like SOS! But like I've said before, there are quite a few scenes which can be pretty dry so maybe you can just fastforward those parts or chat on MSN while watching like I did! =D

Kyoko Fukada's role in the drama is a little weird... not to the extent of being eccentric but not very normal either. Her step-brother and her were in high school when their parents decided to remarry and so when they moved in together, Fukada actually asked her step-brother accompany her and sit outside their parents' room at night to listen to them make love. She cried in that scene because she felt happy for her mum. Said that her mum finally found true love and happiness again after her biological father's demise. Quite touching but pretty weird isn't it? I'd totally freak out if I hear my... let's not get there... LOL

At the moment, I'm just re-watching all the chick flicks that I've watched before and I think maybe its because I don't feel like injecting new stuff into my brain now. Relive the old moments. Or maybe its the aftermath of 27 Dresses.

Its a pretty long and stil-growing-longer list:
The Wedding Planner
How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days
Maid in Manhattan
Prince & Me Parts 1 and 2
Princess Dairies Parts 1 and 2
A Cinderella Story
Never Been Kissed (MY LOVE!!!)
Legally Blonde Parts 1 and 2
Uptown Girls
Bring It On
Raising Helen (Kate Hudson again!)

By the way, Bobbi brown concealer rocks! I think they are like the best! I'm quite a concealer girl because my dark circles are a sin and due to that reason, I've tried quite a few brands but never Benefit's one because it's quite a newbie in Singapore's cosmetic industry and I'm waiting for fellow Singaporeans to try it first before I get mine. The weather here is wayyyy too humid so concealers accelerate breakouts. MAC's ones are lovely but the coverage isn't dense enough for me after a partying night. Bobbi Brown's concealers aren't dense enough either but then the pink-based correctors will always save the day! Furthermore they are creamy enough to use with a brush unlike MAC's ones which require us to warm it a little with our fingers which can hasten bacteria proliferation.

Hope that u'll love ur palette when it arrives and I'd definitely love to see your review since what I've got are only the concealer kit and corrector. =D muackz

Hi Cosine :)

I'm sure I'll like it if it's romantic ;)

LOL!!! VERY WEIRD! I see the sentimental value of it though so I can definately appreciate that but you're not along in freaking out ;) I'd be very disturbed if I heard my parents going at it lol!

Oh I haven't seen 27 Dresses yet. How was it? I had meant to go the day of it's release but got too busy!

LOL your list is huge! I've been somehow disenchanted with romances lately as they are all too silly for me. Although I ADORE period pieces and BBC costume dramas :) So romantic! Like Pride and Prejudice and such :)

I really love Benefit's Bo-ing. It's my staple product for fresher eyes but lately my dark circles have been a bit more nutty! I guess it's the colder weather? I also noticed my eye area is dry.

I can't wait to try the bobbi brown ;)

I don't know how you deal with all the humidity. I can't stand it!

MAC's I find are too drying for me for some reason they get gross under my eye! All cakey :(

I also find that the Vincent Longo concealer is one that needs warming up like the MAC. They are really "hard" in texture.

I'll sure do a review on this when I get it :) I'm dead curious about it.

Have you tried the concealer with the powder on top? THat sounded interesting!

Hope you're doing well today (although your day is over by now and mine is beginning)!

Hugs!

Hey Honey!!!

'27 Dresses' is great! But kinda old too. 'It's pretty much Never Been Kissed' or 'How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days' with different actors in it. Want a more detailed spoiler? HAHA!

Yes MAC's concealer gets cakey very easily but I've learnt a way to deal with it and that is to only use loose powder instead of my 2-way cake. I can't stand using liquid foundation because I keep feeling like its highly ance prone. But still, having to warm the concealer is the easiest route to introducing germs so I'd rather stir clear of it.

And about the Bobbi Brown concealer, I think I mention it being a concealer kit? It's a little confusing here so well here I go...
1) Concealer - Yellow-based and good for neutralising dark circles.
2) Corrector - Pink-based and is used for layering before the application of yellow-based concealer. Though its pink-based, it doesn't worsen dark circles because its supposed to be layered under the yellow-based concealer. Some people use it alone and get swollen looking eyes. Enhances effect of the concealer very well!
3) Loose/ Pressed Powder - For setting concealer so it lasts.
4) Concealer Kit (this is what I have and I think u are talking about this one?) - Has the concealer on top and sheer loose powder below. It's great! Usually I just use loose powder for my whole face because I can be pretty particular about clogging my pores with lots of stuff. So this kit is totally cool for me especially when I go to school and don't even need loose powder on my entire face. I just dust some loose powder to set the concealer and I'm done!
5) LE Concealer palette (I have this one too!) - contains yellow-based concealer, pink based corrector and sheer pressed powder. It's no longer available now but this thing is great because u get all 3 items together so u don't have to fiddle with too many things. My first Bobbi Brown item and this was also what ignited my love for Bobbi Brown concealer and subsequent purchases from them too!

Really hope that u'll love urs! Kisses!

Hi Cosine!

TOOK ME forevers to get to this! Apologies!

I normally leave longer comments to the end when I am finally caught up on shorter ones!

Forgive me?

Aww sounds boring blah. same story new title right?

I'm unable to use loose powder lately as my face is dry in the winter also it looks awful under my eye area too as of late :(

I'm probably one of the few people alive that uses a cream foundation! I love cream for my dry skin!

WOW you've helped a ton as I was so freaking confused when I got the palette!

WOW ;) thanks that's a fountain of good info! I was curious how to use it all :) I'm tempted to purchase her foundation, the cream one!

I'm slowly loving the concealer palette!

;)

Thanks babe! Sorry again for my delayed reply!

Hugs!

That pink would probably work for someone during the summer months in California or Florida. It wouldn't work on me either, especially during the winter months.
