Biteki Magazine Holiday Collections Feature

Sometimes I think I need my mate Betsy on board to keep this blog updated ;) Without her you wouldn't get this special little treat I'm about to give you!

The Muse hadn't checked Biteki's site in a bit and it appears, thanks to Betsy for alerting me, that the Holiday Collection pull out is up and available on the site.

Biteki is a Japanese magazine that is sadly not available here in the US! Sometimes if you happen to be lucky you can nab older copies on E-bay or the Muse wanders through drugstores in Chinatown in hopes of nabbing a copy! On a rare occasion you can get a copy that's.....wait for it....6 months to a year old *sigh*

However, the good news is you can always visit the website! The Muse just happens to be picky and likes to have a hard copy of the mag in her hand!

Anyway.

The good news is the holiday collections are up and on the site! You can check them out by clicking here. 17 pages of pure Holiday bliss! This features US and Japanese brands so you get a little mix of great and wonderful!

Sincerely, take a look at the site because it really does give a great break down of holiday "It" collections! I truly wish the US offered a better beauty magazine that did this!

Of course Betsy should be taken out and beaten for making the Muse's wish list triple! But I love her so I'll forgive her! Just this once.

;)

Enjoy the Holiday Previews in Biteki! And let the Muse hear all about your wish list!

My comment box and my ears are open!

Update: Duh! I just noticed that Rouge Deluxe also has a feature on Biteki and also Voce! Click here to have a peek!

Muse, you have to head over to Kinokuniya! Iris told me about it, so I called the store in NYC and they ship me the Japanese magazines each month.

Those suckers are big, aren't they? I only have a few months worth and they've filled up a chunk of my bookcase. *sigh* If only we had great quality magazines like that readily available here. We don't even have the Canadian fashion magazines, and they have some really nice ones. Every once in awhile, I head up there to get the magazines and Smarties!

Hello The Muse,

I believe Biteki is available in the US. :)

Do look for them in some Japanese bookstores, like Kinokuniya, which I believe has a branch in NYC. :)

Hey Taryn :)

We have a Kinokuniya outside of Manhattan but it doesn't have Voce or Biteki! I'll check the ones in the city! Maybe I'll get lucky ;)

Thanks babe!

They are HUGE! I normally have them airmailed from an ebay book shop online but it's too costly so I only ever get one when it's important seasons!

I can't think of a single magazine that offers good beauty sections :(

PJ :) Thanks love! I was just saying I'll check the Kinokuniya in the city! maybe I'll get lucky wahoo!

Thanks for the tips guys!

ALKJSDLJD OH MY DEAR GOD!

.....i really really want that givenchy palette featured on page seven of the Biteki magazine.

........since I know I'll never get it, I must go drive a screwdriver into my orbital socket and put myself out of my misery.

Damn you Asian-only releases!

yep. i need to go watch something bloody and depraved to make myself feel better. "Nightbreed" sounds good right about now. mmmm, Clive Barker.

'night my dear! If I read any more I'm going to be driven to madness!

ALKJDJIDFH NOT AGAIN!

....in my trolling, i found anna sui's asian site.

I'm DYING of want for this delectable glittery blue gloss I found on her site.

The URL's here: http://www.anna-sui-cosmetics.com.tw/makeup_lip1.php

....sonovabitch! What's even worse is that I know absolutely no one in the whole of Asia who can get that for me.

Why the bloody hell isn't blue lipstick/lipgloss more widely released here?! Am I the only one who wears it or something?!?! Good god! Sixteen thousand different shades of beige, but you can never ever find blue. LORD.

Speaking of which! I found the Dior glosses I mentioned to you a while ago.

I have no idea why this girl has this old Sephora page mirrored and reconstructed in her homepage's index, but I'm thankful to her nonetheless.

The URL's here: http://secret-obsessions.net/clothes/make%20up/christian%20dior/dior-addict-backstage-gloss/index.html

Did you ever get a hold of any of those? I'm absolutely dying for White with Light Blue Effect, Sparkling Green, Sparkling Yellow, and Sparkling Orange (well, two of Sparkling Orange. one for me and one for my best friend who's an orange maniac.) I have the two most boring colors, Metalized Fuchsia and Sparkling Mauve. In particular I'm killing myself with want over the White with Blue. The one time Dior releases a goddamn blue gloss here in the states and I fucking MISS IT!

.....AAAH LEMMINGS GET OUT OF MY HEAD!

....i need something to take my mind off of this.

I think I'll go watch David Cronenberg's "Videodrome". If you ever want to watch a weirder-than-hell horror/sci-fi film that's unlike anything else in film, go rent "Videodrome". The effects are a little dated but it's a fantastic exploration of technology and it's potential effect on the human body in the future. All that philosophy and gore too!

I shall go now and try not to obsess on blue.

I'm slowly catching up with your comments ;)

The anna sui website is a fav spot of mine lol!

You can nab some Anna Sui on ebay!

To be utterly honest I never run across too many goth inspired colors such as blues, greens, etc! Aqua tinted/bluish colors are popular in asian releases for sure!

oh yes yes I remember those addict glosses!

I never got those but I recall the palette, nail varnish, and lippie that was released with those and I have some of those bits!

Those are quite nice!!!! You should try ebay or MUA see if anyone has any left over!

LOL ;) I never seen videodrome but sounds a good geeky movie for a geeky chick like me!

Hope you enjoyed the flick!
Talk soon!
